I contacted Duke about wiring and installation of 3 fans…read more Of the 4 different electrical contractors that we contacted he was the most responsive and understood exactly what we needed, even though I sent the same message via Yelp to the other contractors. His pricing was similar to the others and he understood that I didn't want any drywall damage. The others could or would not accomodate this request. He was flexible about the day and time for installation and worked around remote work meetings schedules and separate fan delivery from Home Depot. He was able come by on a Friday and his crew were able to pre wire in everything in a couple of hours without any holes in the drywall by pulling the wire through the existing conduit. The fans arrived the next day on Saturday and he was able to again accomodate the remote work meeting schedule and able to install these very nice fans in a couple of hours and even immediately corrected the tilted rod that one of his crew had installed incorrectly. I am a perfectionist and one of the most difficult people to impress and gotta say I was very impressed. We were impressed by his communications, punctuality, and flexibility. We recommend Duke Electric for any electrical jobs whether they are large or small.

Knowledgable team but beware of up-charges…read more Duke and his team were able to detect the problem quickly in our home when other electricians had failed so I give him due credit for it. However, we discussed in detail over the phone that his initial fee would cover diagnostics and repair if done within the first hour. As soon as the team found the issue (10mins) they figured a socket needed to be relocated. Immediately an upcharge of $100 was mentioned on grounds that it was too much additional labor. They put a new socket and plate but it did not feel justified for the up charge. They were out within the hour. EDIT: Within 10mins of the neutral review I got a text message from the owner threatening to report to the city on some work where they had no knowledge of how/ where/ what was done. I responded that they don't need to blackmail and that it will posted on yelp too (screenshot attached). Immediately I got a call where the owner started to put up a fight. Never seen such practice. Just for this I have taken a star off!

My dad and I had almost completed the entire project, but we had one last thing to address, which required about one foot of 1 inch flexible conduit, which is sold in 100' rolls at almost every wholesale electric and home improvement store. Trying to avoid purchasing 99' in excess, I called every electrical supplier I could find, then I began calling electricians, hoping to buy a foot off of someone, to which I got a lot of "No"s. Drywall was slated to begin and I was running out of time. Then I walked by an E J Weber Electric van on my way to work and gave them a call. The admin directed me to Scott, so I called his cell, and even though he wasn't at the office, he said they had some and he could probably get me a foot. Hours passed and I didn't hear back so I assumed it was another dead end. Then Scott texted me, he had a piece for me, no payment needed, and Dan would be waiting until 6 pm. Dan was incredibly helpful upon my arrival and walked around finding items as we discussed possible solutions for my project. He also refused payment, and send me on my way with enough to complete my project. If anyone is looking for a company filled with honest and genuinely kind people, this is it.
