It's stuck opened and I can't go back to northern VA with it opened. I called so many shops at 9 a.m. , and none of them would accept to take me ! They were all busy , nobody had the parts, and nobody accepted my exceptional solution to remove the part and close it manually till I go back to VA and order the part! ... wait! Except for DJ !! Super honest, nice guy who understood my horrible situation , showed sympathy, and accepted to help me! Also, he charged me a very, very reasonable fee while he could've taken advantage of me, especially since I told him how everyone else denied me service ! DJ is a hero ! Honest hero! On my first visit (in 2014) I purchased two new tires that I was very happy with. I returned recently (August of 2015) for two more tires. I was able to book an appointment online, with an exact price quote on tires and installation. When I arrived at the store, my Service Advisor, Derick, was extremely helpful and answered many questions I had. He offered suggestions without pressuring me to purchase anything I did not need (or want). His service was fantastic. I left very satisfied, and now I have a full set of new tires on my car. I can't believe that no one has rated this place on Yelp. It's been open for a very long time…read more Anyways, I found Churchman's auto on Yelp. I messaged a bunch of auto Repair shops for brake service. Needed to change the brake pads (front and rear) and wanted to rotor resurfacing. I was quoted $199. However, when I spoke to Eric on phone the prices he said were different from what he msged. So I decided to go to Meineke. But they were terrible and I walked off immediately. So came back to Eric. Fixed up an apt. He did service in less than an hour. Although he didn't resurfac the rotors, he said he cleaned them and the rotors are in good condition. No replacing needed. After a week of driving (200miles), I have no complaints. One point to note, this is a CASH ONLY place. I was not made aware if it. Also, the place does not have a good waiting area. The chairs are old n dusty. Not that it bothered me. But something to note. He did seem busy since he was the only one working. He actually turned down couple of jobs while I was waiting there. Might be a good idea to call and check. Overall, I am satisfied with the service provided. I was a lil upset abt rotor resurfacing not being performed and would have given 3 stars for that. But since this place does not have much reviews, I gave it 4 stars.

I was determined to find a local transmission shop that would assure me of their commitment to quality work along with new quality parts. I spoke twice with Mark at Cottman's located in New Castle, DE, before I decided to get the clutch replaced. I brought the car in early on a Monday morning and the car was ready by 2:00 that afternoon. I couldn't be happier. The transmission and clutch are responding as they did when the car was brand new. I now bring my car in to Cottman's for her oil changes. They allow me to specify my choice of oil (Castrol EDGE High Mileage 5W-30) as long as I give them a few days of advance time to obtain the oil and filters of choice. Goodbye to Valvoline.
