I wish this venue did more concerts like this, I would come to all of them! The bar company they use was a bit unorganized and ran out of a lot of things. People were getting frustrated. I was fine with my order. However, maybe get a bit more organized as people want the beverage of their choice before a show. Overall, we had a great time.

To top it off, there is plenty of free parking in the immediate lot as well as Downey High School next door. Inside, the theater is modern and not too big and not too small but just right IMO. I love how there is ample space in between the rows so that patrons are not packed in (seated) together like sardines...it's also nice that patrons can easily breeze by without stepping on toes etc. Overall, I liked the venue and hope to return soon. Plenty of food options nearby for a meal before/after a show. Porto's is literally a block or two away!

The rest of the building seems to be modernized so it was disappointing to arrive to our seats and see the disparity. We came for the 8/10 1:30pm showing of the Lord of the Rings show. 25+ minutes past, the screen remained broken (no sound, no video). Very ridiculous. We were offered a refund and tickets for the future. I will say staff was friendly and tried to resolve the issue amicably.

When we went to watch Zootopia, my reserved seats were literally on the floor. There were tools left around the seating, as if someone had been repairing them and just walked away without finishing or cleaning up. On top of that, the sound kept lowering throughout the movie to the point everyone had to sit still and be very quiet to listen to the dialogue. I recently went to watch Avatar, and the condition of the theater hasn't improved. The recliners are peeling and some don't recline anymore. During the movie, the screen kept going black and I'm not sure but I felt like the sound was off as well. The only good thing I can say about this theater is the seat service, but even that has some delays, 30-40 minutes for popcorn. I really hope management addresses these issues, because this theater used to be great and clearly has potential.

In QSC LB, Arden has the most unique style of bachata that you won't see anywhere else and Jessica is the best as speaking the language the ladies can understand. Also, not to mention their way of making every practice feel like you are hanging out with your best friends and just happen to be dancing. I'm extremely disappointed and concerned after learning about behavior associated with this…read moremagician that is completely inappropriate for someone who advertises themselves as kid-friendly. This performer markets shows for children and families, yet there are public posts circulating that show him engaging in adult-themed behavior with women that is not suitable for a young audience or aligned with a family-oriented image. My children actually brought this to my attention after coming across a public post, which made the situation even more upsetting. As a parent, I expect entertainers who work with kids to uphold a standard of professionalism both on and off the stage. When someone brands themselves as a children's entertainer, that responsibility doesn't stop when the show ends--especially when content is publicly accessible. Regardless of whether these acts happened during a performance or outside of one, the public nature of the behavior makes it inappropriate and uncomfortable for families who trusted this individual. I would not feel safe or confident having my children watch or attend a show by this magician, and I urge other parents to do their research before booking. Family-friendly entertainment should truly be family-friendly.

She never welcomed and or greeted me and my daughter in a positive way. Day one I walked in and she was behind the counter, it took 10 minutes for her to even acknowledge me. Her husband is worse. He is very rude. He never said hello at all, what he did there I cant even say. He just walks around and gives intimidating looks. The week of recital came around and the lack of communication between Michele and the parents was non existent, unless you are on Michelle's good side. . She continues to say, I will email you the picture of the wig and socks the kids will need the day of. She never sent it, apparently my daughter needed a Huge Lollypop for one of her numbers. No one ever told me to make this for my daughter. My daughters teacher never told me, Michelle the owner never told me. Fast forward to the day of the recital, a parent who volunteers to help Michelle asked me for my daughters Lollypop. Her attitude was horrible towards me when I said "I didn't know she needed this, no one told me"... Everyone is so rude, the energy is bad. This was the first dance experience for my 3year old and it was the horrible. The husband was screaming at all the kids the whole time with this condescending tone to 3-15 year old kids. He was sarcastic and answered every question with an attitude. I volunteered to help back stage to be with my 3year old and her group all in the same age. No one gave me a run down on what to do, bring or need to volunteer. I thought it will be best to bring snacks, I prepared sandwiches for them. took the drinks, took them to the restroom, helped them get ready for the show and kept my eye on them. When the recital was over I helped clean up everything my group was responsible for. I picked up trash, put chairs back, helped the kids gather their belongings. I made sure the girls I was watching went to their parents. As I was walking out Michele (The owner) stops me and yells at me in front of my daughter "You cant leave" Everything needs to be picked up and cleaned up"!! The level of attitude was beyond me. She caught me off guard. I explained to her everything is done, my group is all cleaned up. She continued to scream at me and say ("Its not just your group its everything!!) You cant leave!! She practically held me hostage. I went back to see what else I could do to help and she went wright behind me to watch and make sure I did it. I felt so bullied, I felt hopeless in front of my daughter. My daughter kept saying "mom teacher mad"? I kept saying no baby, everything is okay. This is the picture my daughter was left with. I do not recommend this place or the people there. I was there for my daughters practices and the recital first hand, I witnessed these people treating these kids horrible. If you are a parent with grown kids and just plan to drop them off and leave, this is not the place for you. The energy and vibe is so negative. Trust me, this experience made me hesitate to sign up my daughter to any dance school ever gain.. After running this experience over and over again in my mind. It was the people...
