Two years ago, I inquired about getting veneers for my wedding. After a test run, I made it clear that I was unhappy with how they looked and chose not to proceed. Despite not receiving the service, I was told I still had to pay $6,000. Recently, I spoke with someone in their finance office who confirmed that I shouldn't have been charged, and that the employee who insisted on the payment is no longer with the office -- yet they still refused to reimburse me. On top of that, during my most recent visit, I was told I needed five filling replacements and had two new cavities -- an estimated cost of $2,000. Concerned, I sought second and third opinions from two other reputable dentists, both of whom confirmed I did not need any of the treatments Montclair Dental Spa recommended. I'm extremely disappointed with how this practice operates. It's clear to me now that their primary concern is financial gain, not patient care. After calls going back and forth between North Brunswick and Greenbrook, Greenbrook finally called and said they would see my daughter, but I had to register her as a new patient, for whatever reason they would not transfer her file. It finally comes time to make her appointment and there are insurance issues. The office was completely unhelpful in trying to resolve them. The issue is finally resolved, and I made an appointment for my daughter two weeks or more ahead of schedule. I called to confirm the appointment, confirm the insurance, and let them know a different family member would be taking her. My family member showed up with my daughter only to be told they wouldn't see her- again because of insurance. When I called to find out what was going on, I asked to speak to the office manager or the person who handled the insurance, which I know to be a woman. Instead, after some whispering the young man who answered the phone came back on claiming to be said person. I was then told that someone tried to contact me and cancel the appointment but my mailbox was full. There were NO MISSED CALLS of any kind, my voicemail box WAS NOT FULL, and even if that were the case there is a secondary number and email to reach me. Smile Express knew full well their contract with HBCBS would be ending September 1, and my appointment was scheduled for September 2. Their attempt to contact me was on August 29th. This office is full of nothing but disrespectful liars and I pray that no one continues to use them.
