I initially planned on shopping around to see who had the best prices, but after my initial consultation with Dr Gersch I knew I didn't need to look any further. Gersch Orthodontics is simply the best. The Westfield location is excellent and has the friendliest staff. I have continually been impressed with their customer service and helpfulness. Additionally, at nearly every appointment I have had at least two of my young children with me and I have never felt they were an inconvenience, as I have at other medical offices. Dr Gersch always talks to my kids and even makes toys for them by blowing up rubber gloves and drawing faces on them. They love it! As a mom who is usually stressed out by having to take my kids to doctor appointments, I really, really appreciate the kid-friendly attitude and the extra attention. It is very apparent that patient satisfaction is high on their list of priorities and I have a feeling they have few or zero unsatisfied clients. As for my own teeth, the Invisalign process couldn't have been easier. I am certainly pleased with the results and will let others know. Furthermore, if we are still in this area when my kids are ready for braces, I will not hesitate to bring all of them to Gersch Ortho for all of their orthodontic needs.

After getting them on, (I've had braces before years ago) I received a phone call from the orthodontist checking in to see how I'm feeling and if everything was ok and I was like "wow" as a kid I never got that type of treatment and I was happy that the staff checked in on me. However, Dr. Peters made a mistake toward the end of my treatment that has resulted in chronic pain and added expense: she chipped the side of one of my molars while trying to grind down an Invisalign "button". This later led to infection, periodontal disease and subsequent bone loss. I have to see a periodontist now to fix the problem. The pain has become unbearable. I gave Dr. Peters-Schuster an opportunity to own up to her mistake (we're all human after all), but she chose to deny any wrongdoing. When I confronted her she said flatly that the tooth I alleged her of chipping never had an Invisalign button on it. This is a lie... and I have the original Invisalign aligners to prove it. Do not let Dr. Peters' affable nature fool you. Her character is dubious. If I had been in her shoes I would have admitted to making a mistake. I would NOT choose a dentist with poor character, and neither should you.

Initially, I had plans to straighten my teeth with Invisalign however, after several consultations with many orthodontists (including Dr. Loewinger), it was determined that I would not be a good candidate. Of the many consultations, Dr. Loewinger was the only orthodontist who explained why and provided a detailed overview of the process I would go through with traditional braces. Obviously I was not excited to have a mouth full of metal at 24 years old, but he convinced me that it would be fine. He reviewed the different types of braces available, the rubber band process, and more. By the end of the discussion, we determined that ceramics would be the best option; although it was a bit pricer, it's not noticeable in pictures. The first couple of months my teeth were sore, as expected. During each adjustment Dr. Loewinger and his assistants are very careful and precise--no bruises on my gums from loose wires or rough handling. I visit his office every month and follow through with all instructions given by Dr. Loewinger and the members of his staff. Wearing rubber bands at work and on dates was not an easy task, but I did what I was told and the current state of my teeth are proof that he knows what he's doing. I can only speak to my experience, and it's been wonderful! I look forward to visiting the office for the next 10 months or so and hope you check him out. Also Arlene is great, and it's always a pleasure seeing her every visit.
