Dr. Patel is wonderful. Slight edits. Please Read. Yes, I'm redundant, got a call from the…read moreredundancy office. The infamous "Oh Neg's" have struck again. The people that have posted below this. Yes, I'm calling all of you keyboard warriors out. There is so much Hate right now, please don't feed the Hate Monster. Sheesh! 1. Before entering please check your bad day at the door. Sharing your bad day isn't nice. I can feel your "negativity" along with the other patients waiting for the Doc. Share a smile. 2. The wonderful ladies here work so hard. Thank you Jackie, Marcella, Ingrid, Sidney n T. Sorry T, I may mess up your name, thus the initial. T, I got new glasses and I can read your name now. May I just go with T? You are one Tough lady with a beautiful smile. 3. Yes, everyone waits. I've experienced that as well. If he makes time to speak with you... Guess what, he does it for everyone. Some people more than other's. My bad, I went in one day to drop something off and the Doc was away. No one was in the waiting room. Truly a first in 4+ years. Small reminder. This is a Doctors office not a play ground. 4. Dr. Patel has tv's in his office. Very informative for anyone. Yes I enjoy not having FOX News blaring out at me. TBH, I enjoy the informative Dr. S. Gupta playing on the tv. 5. A please and a thank you, will go further than being a mean human. Mean humans have a shorter life span, yes there is a God and he's taking notes. 6. I have only needed to see 2 endo's in CA. This is for our preteen and no it's not diabetes. Dr. B. Buckingham of Stanford U and Dr. Patel. My one and only has a very rare medical condition. One would never know by looking or speaking to her. She has a real congenital condition. Great student and an all around great kiddo. She has to get her blood drawn every few months. Do you think she complains about anything? Nope! To The "Oh Neg's" grow up. Our M is so focused on school, we make her appointments around her schedule not Dr. Patel's. 7. Everyone that comes to his office has a medical condition, some have more or less than yourself. Be kind and respectful if all else fails, think Tolerance. 8. Dr. Patel a Bully? You must not have attended 3rd. grade. Why are you (below) calling him that? He cares about you and wants you to be healthy. Did Dr. Patel do this in front of other's? Don't lie now. It was in private and you didn't listen. Did he berate you in front of other patients? The answer is a Huge NO. Getting bullied to be healthier....new concept for me. 9. To "Kitty", he does that for all patients, wanna know why? Have you ever been in his office (rhetorical sarcasm in case you didn't get it). It's called pharmaceutical continuity. I have never seen his office empty. If you do please take a photo with a time and date. No after hours pics, please. 10. If you're a voter guess what, prescriptions are now monitored and scrutinized more than ever. Knowing how busy he is and he doesn't know every medication you're taking. Dr. Patel is doing you and everyone else a favor. Pharmaceutical drugs mixed with other pharmaceutical drug can and will kill you. 11. You are aware that he travels to take care of those in need in other countries. Some places don't have medical care or specialist. 12. I've been scolded by him, it's not personal. He wants you healthy. He dislikes people that don't take his advise. Which brings me to, why bother going to a specialist? We've been his patient for 4+years. Thanks to Dr. Gaw, we found Dr. Patel. My bad if you feel I wasn't justified in calling you out. I call it how I see it. Peace, Jules

He literally said - "I don't care about your brain or body. I've been doing this for 25 years." He's a one trick pony incapable or unwilling or both to look a patient's complete profile. He IS the reason not to see Drs in AV. My experience out here is that they are all second rate, old, out of touch people. If they were any good they'd be practicing closer to the city. We don't attract talent!!

Where do I start? This has got to be the worst medical office staff in the AV!! I haven't even been…read morethere a year & they have dropped the ball with every single visit!! Beginning with the first visit, that I waited 3 months for, I was not on their schedule!! Thankfully, one of the staff members remembered scheduling me, however, I waited 2 hours while they "worked me in". They have dropped the ball on prescriptions & lab orders EVERY SINGLE VISIT!! The most recent error was sending the wrong rx to the pharmacy, which cost me $100. Unacceptable the way they rush, assume & quick to give out the wrong info. Dr. DeSilva is wonderful, but once you leave the treatment room after talking with her, nothing gets done!! I've had to repeatedly ask for lab orders & rx's to be sent out. In addition, they failed to update orders in the system. How embarrassing that the Dr has to call the pharmacy to see what the last dosage was because her staff failed to update the chart. Complaints to management & Dr DeSilva were a total waste of time, nothing has improved, it just gets worse!! Moving on to where patient care matters & I'm taking my husband with me!

So I didn't even bother to returned the call .. like there is No possible way they have the nerve to tell me that .. this wasn't my first time getting Botox to begging with and no I didn't have so uneven eyebrows with a dent in between them .. completely botched Botox . I will never recommend this place not only for the bad experience but also for not even trying to do something to not accept they did made a mistake.. ! Too bad I can't give them 0 star .

I think the no star option needs to be available! Any and all negative reviews on Dr Patel are 100%…read moretrue and accurate! Please do your home work on this Dr. He has multiple listing. Every time a listing gets to many bad reviews, another listing pops up for him. He is rude, unkind and so unprofessional on every level he could be. He told me that he doesn't have time to "f**k around" and if he doesn't see results like he wants to see, he'll drop me. The following month, I came in bringing my numbers down 100 points and having lost 6 lbs. He started riding my ass again and when I pointed out that my numbers and weight have both improved...He said that's a little improvement but it still sucks! He is talking to me about diet and nutrition. As I'm trying to inform him of our living and food situation at home, he cuts me off by saying to just stop talking, be quiet, that all he is hearing are excuses from me. So I cut him off and said, this is just the opposite of that, I'm trying to let him know my current situation and, before he cut me off, how we are coping with it as best we can. I asked him about using OmniPod and he told me no, that I have to earn it and then he'll reccomend it. I filed a complaint with my insurance company and his response was that I was unwilling to take or follow his advice and that I was an unmanaged diabetic and that he never cussed at me or in front of me. If I didn't want to follow my Drs instructions or if I was just being a stubborn fatty, then why did I used the Pod, why did my numbers improve, why did I ask my primary to refer me to another Endocrinologist? On my second visit, after I pointed out my improvement, he did prescribe me the OmniPod. I loved it, it completely makes you notice and accountable for your numbers and results. I was looking forward to taking my Pod into him and shoving it in his face. I continued to lose weight and my numbers barely broke 100. Unfortunately after using four Pods with no issue, my next four Pods were defective. I had to call twice to have replacement Pods sent out. When the first 2 malfunctioned and the next two replacements didn't work either. Now it's time for my third appointment with this Jerk. I'm stressing, having anxiety over the thought of having to go in and tell him what has gone on and why I only have one month of data on my Pod. I'm dreading him telling me all he hears are excuses. I'm trying to prepare myself mentally for what's to come with my next visit. Then I thought, forget him...he's not gonna drop me! I'm gonna drop him! He doesn't deserve me as a patient and he certainly doesn't deserve my insurance payments. This Dr has had his license/practice suspended at least once, maybe more. I told my insurance company that they need to do their homework on the Drs in their network. Read the review, not just on Yelp but on Google too and take them seriously. My primary has yet to schedule me with a new Endocrinologist, but my primary has switched recently too. We'll see who the new primary will recommend. PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS DR!
