I have stayed at South Beach Resort many times over the years, so it is disappointing to say that…read morethis will likely be my last visit. This morning, I went downstairs early for breakfast so my wife could sleep in. I arrived about 10 minutes before breakfast opened, so I took a walk along the boardwalk while waiting. Breakfast is only served from 7:00-9:00 a.m., which seems unusually limited for an area known for charter fishing, where many guests are up and on the water early. When breakfast opened at 7:00, I entered the dining area and began preparing my breakfast. An employee then took the food out of my hand because I was not wearing my bracelet. I understand having rules and requiring bracelets, and I have no problem following them. However, the way the situation was handled was unnecessary and embarrassing. As I was returning to my room, the lobby attendant then accused me of taking a red Gatorade. It was actually a Coke that I had brought down from my room. I told the employee that there are cameras throughout the lobby and suggested they review the footage before accusing a guest of stealing. Later, I returned to breakfast with my children, making sure that all of us had our bracelets on. I then noticed approximately 10-12 other guests eating breakfast without bracelets. This was extremely frustrating after the way I had just been treated. My issue is not with enforcing resort policies. My issue is the inconsistent enforcement and the way guests are treated. I have been a loyal guest at South Beach Resort for years, and I have never experienced anything like this. Being treated as though I was attempting to steal food and then being accused of taking a drink that I had brought from my own room was extremely disappointing. Unfortunately, this experience has changed my opinion of the resort. I hope management reviews what happened and addresses the way these situations are handled so other guests do not have a similar experience.

While looking for a location for a month stay we saw They have a lot of empty spaces and now I understand why if you can't reach anyone you can't rent them. We drove through and found a couple different park residents and stopped to ask if they knew who or where we could find someone.. one said" good luck ". Another said " it's a hit or miss"This is no way to run a business !! Finally encountered a very rude and snippy woman whose name is Judy says she's the manager. We wouldn't stay there if they gave us a spot !! Also spoke to a " long time " resident who states the manager is a drunk who poisons and kills the the neighborhood cats .. and is extremely volatile. Stated they tried to have warranty work done on their camper and the repair man won't even come in the park because she is a drunk and try's to extort money from them for allowing them to come in the park. And forget washing cars or your camper she wants money for that too. Wish the new owners knew this but she says she doesn't have any phone numbers to contact them ?? Yeah ok NOT We ended up at another park on Hwy 90 they are extremely friendly and actually says that they get a lot of people who says the same exact thing .. DO NOT GO TO THIS PARK

It feels really clean, safe and family friendly. Even on 4th of July weekend, because only guests can use it, the waterpark wasn't packed at all. We would stay again just for the private waterpark! With that said, the food was not good at all. The breakfast at the Oasis grill was okay! But overall food here is sooo overpriced and not worth it. The second day we ended up doing a grocery run and packing lunches. Bonus is that they let us bring in food/drinks into the pool area. So overall we LOVE this resort as a hotel with an amazing pool but will not eat at the restaurants lol Good thing there are lots of restaurants around it, Waffle House, fine dining etc, and grocery stores also.

They have long term lots and then a handful that they keep open for those passing through or just staying for the weekend. It feels like all the long term RVs are smashed together in clumps. I wish we were spread out a bit more. Some of the sites are much more desirable. If you have the opportunity, it would be nice to take a drive/walk around and choose your site before you park your RV. Assuming it's available. I don't know how they choose to divide up the lots. There are restroom and shower facilities located on the north side of the property, connected to the office and the lounge. Separated by gender. There is an access code to get into each door. The restrooms are cleaned every single night and they are always in great condition. That is definitely a plus! The showers in the women's room have almost zero water pressure and it's impossible to wash my hair in there. The men's showers have awesome water pressure. Sneak in there if you can find a way. Not that I have any experience doing that... There is a swimming pool that is also located next to the office. It's open all year and looks nice, though I haven't tried it out yet. There is a nice sized, fenced in, dog area located on the west side of the property. It's just a short walk from wherever you might be parked. There are dog bags and a trash receptacle inside for your convenience. Most people pick up after there pets, but there are always those special people who don't think they have to. If you can get with the program, this RV park makes it pretty easy for you. There are also two benches inside the dog park as well as a watering station for your pets. There isn't a separate area for small and big dogs, so make sure you are comfortable walking in if there is already someone there. Two large dumpsters are on the east side of the park and they are never full. I haven't heard a trash truck yet, but they are obviously emptying it very regularly. There are signs everywhere reminding you that you are expected to take your own trash to the dumpsters. The office staff is helpful and available every day from 9-5. If you have outgoing mail you can put it in the little basket at the front desk. You can also have mailed delivered to the park office and it's no problem. They hold it behind the desk for you to pick up. We've been here for several weeks so far and are enjoying our stay.

From the elegant décor to the inviting atmosphere, it felt like we had been transported to a luxury hotel in a major city. The space is stunning without feeling stuffy, making it equally great for a date night, a girls' night out, or simply relaxing after a long day. Make sure you check out the rooftop bar! In the guest book it says that the hotel has been recently remodeled to look like a home from back in the day. I ask the lady how long is recenlty and she said 10yrs ago!!! Our shower door was broken. There was a wooden table and chairs. Its just not what you expect when you come to a hotel. I expect luxury and what I got was a room from 1890. Sunday Brunch is actually what Plantation is known for. That was probably the best part of our whole stay at the hotel. It was a breakfast buffet which included eggs, omelets, bacon, sausage. (the norm) But it was actually pretty good. I can't complain about that part. This hotel is actually in close proximity to the outlets if you want to go shopping and about 15minutes from the casiono's.
