Since I have left the 9-5 grind, semi-retired, sold my house and hit the road with my husband, respectfully retired about 3 years ago, we have learned a few things about full time RV living vs. camping. At this time we are at a lovely adult leaning Sioux Bayou RV Park which sports a cute little beer bar called the Hideaway. The management and staff could not be more accommodating. It is very basic...very natural, located on the Sioux Bayou. The butterflies, dragon flies, birds of all types adorn this simple RV park into a perfect paradise. There are alligators, we named our buddy Gary the Gator. Never feed the Gators! There are bald Eagle flying overhead. There are migratory patterns that allow a rare look at birds you only see while migration. The moon and stars decorate the night. If you find good people, beautiful views and natural experiences a good life, you will enjoy pulling up and relaxing.

I would highly recommend this park if you are visiting Mississippi.

Stopped by here because pups needed a place to run while backyard was being worked on. The dog park has made some improvement since they first opened. It now has fountains on each side of the park. They have a side specifically for small dogs and a side for medium to large dogs. It is nice to have and the pups can can run and climb on the equipment, and take a bathroom break on the fire hydrants. The rest of the park has picnic tables, some covered others not, as well as a huge pier to fish off of as well as launch your boats. They do a have restrooms, located by the boat launch and in a trailer. It is enjoyable and I will return.

The pier extends quite far into the harbor making for a lovely spot to get out and over the water for some peace. It is smooth enough to be handicapped access though I don't recall if there was actually a ramp to get onto it. The boat ramp has a nice smooth ramp into the water with a large circle for aligning your trailer property. There is adequate parking for cars and trucks and trailers. There are several pavilions, a children's play area, and more. I enjoyed just walking this park and along the pier just across the street. I also noticed that they had a lot of metal arch-type structures just before the pavilions that stated "PAVILIONS" throughout the property. I was talking to a client about it the next day, and he told me the shipping yard donated them to the community. This made sense to me. Pascagoula has a huge shipping manufacturer in their town. Obviously, this park was pretty popular to the community. The place had a lot of people just hanging out and enjoying being alive in the moment. Everything from a family enjoying the evening and a pizza, to joggers and dogwalkers to teenagers just hanging out were taking advantage of Pascagoula Beach Park. If business returns me to Pascagoula, Mississippi again, I would definitely return here.
