We were four for brunch on a weekday. The place was half empty. We got seated quickly and got our drinks very fast. The dining room was airy and bright. I felt like there should be more choices. I ordered the hash brown Benedict. Because dish comes with hash browns, I don't get why they offer grits or potatoes as a side?? The dish has no meat and a lumpy brown hollandaise. Our first time eating here, so we were offered a half order of beignets on the house. They are more crispy on the outside like a hush puppy, but were warm and soft inside. So good and a nice treat! We also enjoyed their lunch duos. I chose the chicken tortilla soup and half BLT&A, and my hub had the half chicken and waffle with a cup of jambalaya with a fried egg on top. Stopped here on a Sunday morning for Brunch, quite busy, but nowhere near as busy as other places. Traveling home from a weekend trip. Waited for about 15mins for a table. We had 2 different employees serving us, again really busy. Both were friendly and always checking on our drink levels or if we needed anything else with our food. We had a table of 4 and we were all really pleased with what we had ordered. We probably waited for about 20 mins for food. The Apple Fritter French Toast was something I'd never tasted anywhere else and was very tasty. The apple chicken sausages were on point as well! I also got the Blueberry Brunch Margarita. Of all the places I had ordered a drink on our trip this weekend, this was the best tasting drink and the amount is also larger compared to any of the other high end places. This is the second time I've been. The wait staff are friendly and helpful when picking a menu item. They have great brunch cocktails!! From a southern perspective the grits aren't my grandmother's. They're lumpy and not seasoned. I liked the potatoes which had a Cajun seasoning. Mardi Gras inlet is not spicy and well balanced with shrimp and sausage. The tomato hollandaise sauce was very good. Sausage gravy was great! (Peppery and rich.) eggs are always cooked perfectly. Wide open space with plenty of seating with high top tables, booths and center of the space tables. I've tried Another Broken Egg Cafes in Columbia and Charleston, so when looking for a brunch spot in Simpsonville, this was an obvious choice. Like it's other locations, this spot is very popular so you will want to get on the wait list before you get there. I was on the waitlist, so I was seated immediately. The server was very friendly and knew the menu very well. The food came out in an appropriate time frame and was delicious. I would definitely try this spot again if I'm in the area. read more

I'm not a fan of negative reviews but I wouldn't want others to have a bad experience from not knowing. Came on a Saturday around noon time and was seated pretty quickly so they get a plus for that however everything else went downhill from there. Ordered coffee and an omelette and despite having 7+ visible empty tables around me it still took ~40 minutes to get an omelette. Had it been packed with customers I would understand the wait but when it's empty, it shouldn't take that long. I'm glad I didn't order too much or I'd be sitting there for who knows how long. Once I did receive my food, I tried to eat but couldn't even get through half of it because it just was not good at all. This is a new location so it could just be that they haven't found their rhythm yet and I do hope they improve everything soon to find success. read more

Where do I start? The interior of the restaurant is comprised of high top and low top tables with booths as well. I walked in the door at 11:20 and was promptly sat by a very nice hostess. After 10 minutes of sitting by myself waiting for the waiter, I was able to order. I ordered biscuits and gravy with sausage, a side of bacon and it came with country potatoes or grits. I chose potatoes. This was not a difficult order. It should have not taken until after 12pm for me to receive my food. The food was good. Cold, but good. I don't think I would order the sausage again unless I could get some mustard for it. This is a nice restaurant in a good area, with decent parking. I just wish they had better service. read more

Look, I haven't even gotten my food yet but I've had plenty of time to sit here while I wait. We were greeted appropriately, not overly friendly, not rudely. Waited a reasonable amount of time for a table. Seated comfortably, placed our order. ..... and then that's when the turbine speed fans above kicked on. The temperature was comfortable for this fine first of September day, but my family and I were quickly plunged into a frigid wind blown frenzy. I watched straw paper blow off the table next to us, and a little girl at another table shivering. I mentioned to our waitress how the fan was so excessive and she said she'll "have to ask the manager" about turning it down. I'm going to have to hold my hair with one hand while I eat. Update: the manager was the one who served our food, and she said she agreed, bc some paper of hers had blown away. She would reduce the fan or turn it off. We had a pleasurable 10 minutes before the turbine was right back on. The food was fine. I wish I'd taken a pic but I was too distracted. The service was fine. The young adult who took our order was competent. But we'll only be back if our air conditioner is broken at our house. read more

Our first time - we will be back!!! Food was fantastic! We ordered the Mediterranean omelette and Cinnamon French toast with side of eggs and apple chicken sausage- everything was delicious! Sometimes French toast can be too sweet but it was just perfect!! The service was great- Alexia was attentive and kind. Our friends sitting next to us had chicken and waffles and shrimp Benny and they loved them too! We had a great experience - it seems they have worked out any kinks they had in opening. They turned on a large ceiling fan above my head at the same time they brought me my food. Basically the fan was just there to cool the food down and blow everything off the table. If you like cold food, it was flavorful. if I was not under that large fan, I think things would've been better. read more

I ordered to go food from here. BIG MISTAKE. No menu given so I ordered strawberry & whipped cream pancakes with BACON & beignets for my family. Price charged HIGH$$$$$. After long wait, my order was wrong but they were closed to return. I got plain pancakes with syrup (no butter) & the bacon was freezing cold & greasy. As you can see I could not finish either. The 4 stars is because our server was awesome and he alone deserved 5. Buuuuut the food was just meh. My omelette was ok, not anything to right home about. Also, the "biscuit" sure seemed like just a store bought English muffin and tasted exactly like one. Hey I could be wrong but that's what it seemed like for sure. We went there on a Saturday morning and asked to sit outside. We realized too late that the music was rather loud and we asked if they would turn it down.... I was told "absolutely" ( I am very certain the individual was the Manager) but nothing happened. We asked our waiter twice and he was clearly embarrassed that nothing changed. This was a very simple ask but I guess they don't care about their customers. We also had to wait an entire hour for our food to make it to the table even that they were not too busy. Me and my wife ate at this restaurant 3 times never had a problem with service. On the day I decided to make a pick up order they left items out of my order and added things I didn't order. So, I called to inform them I wanted my order remade and will be returning the incorrect order. The assistant manager Julia was who I spoke with and she accused me of doing this last week about bacon and I've never ordered bacon I don't eat pork. She was completely wrong after the exchange of words I told her I want my money back and would be coming to the restaurant to speak with the manager. It was displeasing to see that Julia was the waitress we'd had all 3 times I ate at the restaurant. She apologized but it was definitely too late. I told her and Chelsea the manager I never want her as a waitress ever again and that I would be writing a review and filing a complaint with the BBB and left. read more

Tried for Brunch yesterday and was really disappointed. I ordered eggs benedict which comes with country potatoes. The potatoes were obviously old, dry and flavorless, not seasoned at all. Ham was over cooked and the hollandaise sauce lacked flavor. My husband ordered the country power bowl, which he said was good, but the biscuit it came with was obviously old, so hard that it actually made a sound when you tapped it! Old and dry. I stopped by on a late Friday morning as I was running errands. I was expecting to be there for somewhat of a quick breakfast, 20 to 30 minutes, tops. The restaurant was not busy. Maybe 1/3 full at most, so I got seated quickly. That was a good sign. However, after I got seated, the sever took a long time to come ask what I wanted to drink. I promptly ordered a coffee. That took FOREVER. She seemed a little stressed and rushed, so perhaps she was a new server. When she finally came around to bring me my coffee, I placed my order from one of the time on the egg portion of the menu. Nothing too complicated. I asked for the potatoes and toasted bread. It took probably 20 minutes, if not more, just to get my food. It was an incredibly long time to get served, epecially since they were not busy. When the food finally arrived, the potatoes were lukewarm, the eggs were VERY watery and the bread was not toasted. It was not worth the wait. lol After she left, I didn't see her for a long time. I had to flag her down just to get another cup of coffee. After another long wait, I had to flag her down again to get my check. What should have been a 30 minute breakfast, turned into over an hour. I can't imagine how slow it is when they are half full or at capacity. Yikes I will definitely not return and don't recommend it. read more
