She is also helping me by empowering to make changes in my career path that I have been avoiding for a very long time. It is super private and there are no signs or that feeling of "Hey! Look at me walking into my therapist's office". Her sessions are very easy and comfortable, like you're having coffee with a friend and I love her office. It feels great to have her in my corner and have her give me tools to actually make progress in my life.

I was struck by the number of referrals from past clients and positive things current clients shared with me about their experiences with Dr. Victoria Holroyd and the clinicians at TRCHR. They are highly trained experts and many people called for help after having had negative couples therapy experiences elsewhere. The clinicians here are VERY SKILLED, kind, professional, personable and really care about their clients. They have also been very accommodating and flexible with their appointments. I have no hesitation in recommending them.

After 4 teleconference sessions Heather stopped responding to emails and phone calls. Several times across multiple weeks and months we tried reaching out to Heather and to Coastal Virginia Counseling with no response. I even had my personal therapist attempt to reach out professionally and no response was received. A professional therapist ghosting clients in need is one of the most unprofessional things I have ever seen in therapy. Other people have posted positive reviews for this agency so I have to imagine other therapists are more professional but I would strongly advise doing your homework on your potential therapist before accepting therapists with this organization before you place your hopes in receiving therapy.

I've followed her to three locations now and I have to say that I like this one the best. It's got plenty of parking, it's centrally and easily located right off the interstate but with easy access. The building is well-maintained and upkept and the offices are nice. As far as service - therapy is excellent and I firmly believe that everyone can benefit. I've learned so much about myself and have grown through therapy. I first came to Laura while trying to deal with intense feelings of guilt over wanting to divorce my ex husband though I still loved him. Laura helped me work through that and eventually make the decision that was best for me. I've seen her on and off through the years while I deal with various issues but she is always there to help me work through things and process them. If you're stressed, or struggling, or just need to talk to someone - I think having someone who is impartial and trained to listen and provide experience and advice is a great investment in your health and well-being. Do it!

So was excited to give cognitive therapy a second chance and looked into bio s and was interested in dr Jones as she seemed the better persons for my needs. I have never in my 40 years have had a dr with such poor ethics, lack of communication skills and basically seemed to give up before I spoke. I saw her 2 times and because of all the bugs and the fact that people can potentially see your sessions ,it was already frustrating. But the man reason I am writing this is strictly to warn people before booking with Owner or dr Jones. She seems more concerned about herself then her patience that need her. She wanted me to book 2 more sessions so I thought things were going well Despite the underlining feeling something strange. So I called to talked to her because I needed help currently, not wasting a month on this lady. So when I expressed to the front desk that I need to know if she was gonna see from now on or not, not only she wouldn't see me but she had the front desk tell me and not herself AND I have 0 clue as to why cause she didn't tell me or call me. She knew were I was mentally and this women is down right cruel and would have been a better doctor if she studied ethics instead of psychology. She might actually be capable of Being helpful for people as opposed to putting a person trying so hard to survive and basically Destroy a good person trying to get help. I'm not going back to any therapist because of this woman ,cause this is my last ditch effort and she literally gave me no hope please think twice about seeing her or Dr. Mulligan he was even worse than her. This place makes social works look like rocket scientist.

Right from the start, we both felt at ease because of her demeanor and warmth that seriously fills the room. It sounds cheesy, but it's true that she has such a familiarity that feels like talking to an old friend. She never sugar coated or "babied" us. Her objectivity was always fair and held us accountable. We were never judged for anything we said and she always met us where we were in each session. We also loved the exercises that she gave us to take what we learn in sessions and apply them, in practice, at home. Even though we were sometimes sluggish about completing them, she never made us feel bad about it while still holding us accountable. We would still be with Dr. April if we did not move out of her practicing jurisdiction. We cannot thank her enough for her work with us. Please do yourself and your relationship a favor and work with Dr. April... you will not regret it.
