Luis is the owner, and he came off pleasant enough when I contacted him for a countertop install for my home. He came out to measure and quoted me 7,200.00 for the job. I signed a contract on a Monday and I gave him 3,600.00 down. I went to several granite suppliers in Elk Grove Village with my wife, and we spent the day in order to pick out the two slabs we wanted for our kitchen counters. I talked with the supplier and they said they could deliver the stone the next day to Luis's shop in Woodstock for fabrication, as we were under duress to get the job done as soon as possible. I texted Louis and he said he would arrange to have someone there to unload the stone...Thought we were good to go... A week had passed and I heard nothing, so I called Luis and he then informed me that he had made a mistake on the price. It would now be 9200.00 to do the job! He also informed me that he did not take delivery of the stone last week because of the price issue. I asked why he didn't call me right away? He blamed his wife for not sending me an email with the price change. That is when I should have jumped ship!, but we had lost a week already, so unfortunately I gave him the benefit of the doubt and agreed to the price increase, as he then promised he could install it by the end of that week. He then called that Thursday and asked if Monday would be ok, I reluctantly agreed. Sunday night rolled around and I had heard nothing as to what time he would be there the next day. I texted him to ask, his reply was 9 to11... really?, his shop is 20 min from me and he couldn't give me a firm time? He arrived at 9am. I could now post a long list of issues with the install, but I will give you just a few of the lowlights. He had to cut a 10 foot long slot out of the drywall wall down to the studs in order to slide the mismeasured countertops into the wall to get them to fit. Drywall dust and chunks were deposited in my drawer runners and the cabinetry below. He made no attempt to clean up his mess. The end result of the install was barely acceptable. The man is truly a hack and a real jerk to work with. If you are looking for a stressful experience from start to finish and a half assed job for your big dollar purchase,,, Luis is your man! If not, STEER CLEAR of Millennium Stone of Il. in Woodstock.

There are and were safety issues including but not limited to the load bearing beams not being fully attached, spindles nailed in and my two year old pulled on it and it fell out (2 story deck). There were multiple different crews that worked on the deck and nobody knew what they were doing. Work had to be done. There was a rusty staple sticking straight up that I stepped on after "completion" with no acknowledgment. Horrible communication from management and now I have been emailing for months with pictures of issues and cannot get a single response. Jerry, Henry and Paul (management level) are less than helpful and argued with us about simple things like gapping, railing issues, quality of wood issues that should have never been used. screws and nails that missed the wood and were poking out everywhere. STILL have yet to hear from them since the beginning of August and they're under warranty contract for a year. DO NOT USE. (That's just the deck issue)

A few days ago my return vent was rattling so I inspected and found I neeed to replaced an air filter , but meanwhile a noticed that in the duct work it was not seal and looks to be damaged. I contacted scott pollak and he stated he had nothing to do with that duct work . The old air handler he removed to replace with a new air handler was attached so I don't know what he means. I explain it would only take his labor, screw and tape to repair this and he refuses. I now will proceed to file a claim against him and possible take him to court not sure if small claim court or not becuase of the dollar amount paid $6000.00. If I could rate zero star I would definetly. VERY POOR WORKMANSHIP !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh let me explain my experience during the installation of the new units . During the installation he noticed I didn't have a 220v to run the air conditioning 1st mistake. I had to call an eletrician to come out . He finally came out and said oh it was a brittle wire from the outside condenser going into the house for the air handle ( he said he should of replace it then because it kept braking on him ) . Due to a family emergency, the project needed to begin with urgency. Over the course of more than a month, there was constant back-and-forth communication, and the shower floor pitch was installed incorrectly twice. I also clearly communicated that my flooring contractor would address the trim. Despite this, I received a text message stating they intended to stop work mid-project, leaving me with a broken and unfinished shower floor. This situation has been extremely frustrating, as I am now forced to find and coordinate a new contractor to fix and complete the work. Please use caution when considering this company. In hindsight, I regret not going with my original contractor.

Weather was an issue but what was more of an issue was that he worked alone and talked on his phone more than he seemed to work. Many people were commenting on how slow he was working. The rot under the siding was fixed well, the stairs were done in the back well, stairs in front my husband felt the support was suspect (means 4x4s were cut short - he made up some excuse that this was his intent) and door window was damaged and cracked. We have tried to contact him on multiple occasions, even going so far as forgetting all the support issues but wanted our door window repaired or replaced. He has ghosted us!! This is unacceptable. We paid him to do a job and didn't hold back any money (our mistake - now he has no reason to call us back). So now our only option is to hire a lawyer to get our door window repaired or replaced because at this point that's all we care about. We didn't pay all that money to have a door that doesn't function properly!
