After working with this contractor multiple times and referring customers to them, I hired the…read morecompany for a bathroom remodel based on another contractor's quote, which they agreed to match. Due to a family emergency, the project needed to begin with urgency. Over the course of more than a month, there was constant back-and-forth communication, and the shower floor pitch was installed incorrectly twice. I also clearly communicated that my flooring contractor would address the trim. Despite this, I received a text message stating they intended to stop work mid-project, leaving me with a broken and unfinished shower floor. This situation has been extremely frustrating, as I am now forced to find and coordinate a new contractor to fix and complete the work. Please use caution when considering this company. In hindsight, I regret not going with my original contractor.

Use this service at your own risk. I'm quite surprised by…read morethe positive comments I read on here; that almost makes me fill I'm being picked on. The owner Travonte said he would renovate my apartment in 3 weeks for $30,000 that woud be paid in phases. He promised me a brand new luxury style apartment, so I didn't even negotiate, and gave him the money without hesitation. The work started early May, but we are mid July and my apartment is still trash, as well as my backyard where he threw all the construction trash and got the city to give me a citation. And also, safety is clearly not an issue since gas has been leaking in the apartment since he redirected some of the gas pipes, but that doesn't seem to phase him at all. He has been sweet talking me into giving him more time, because after 1 week of working on my property he got a better contract at a local mall, so he has abadoned my apartment for the past 2 months, after getting $25,000 of the $30,000 he asked for the entire job whihc included brand new appliances. He is a very dishonest person who will say anything to reassure you, including saying that he ordered material, as the reason he is not working, even though he hasn't. He would even lie in front of your face when you show him somehting is not straight and the both of your can clearly see it's not straight. He was supposed to replaced all interior doors as part of the contract, but for some reason he beleieved I wouldn't realize that he merely just painted the old existing doors. Again, do business with him at your own risk. You just may find yourself losing rental income, and having to spend money hiring someone else to do the job. We will hopefully have the court take care of this issue now.

Stay away if you are looking for a contractor who is on-time, reliable, responsive, uses genuine products, doesn't damage and abuse property, doesn't stall work until he owes you and never other ways round, doesn't settle the balance money given to buy products, drags project by weeks/months making every excuse possible and blaming everything else on planet. Doesn't even leave leftover paints for future touch-ups despite of promising it. Legends are prime example of why cheap is not always the best!

Previously, we had a very bad experience with two prior contractors who left the job without completing the work they agreed to do. I will not discuss them here. Bill & Bud came in and had to basically re-do the entire deck structure, which they did, to produce the most amazing result! They are responsible, reliable, and meticulous in getting the job done professionally & beautifully. I absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for remodeling, repair, plumbing, tile/flooring, lighting, drywall, painting, cabinets, etc. They do it all, with reasonable prices and professional work completion, and are located in the Grayslake, Il. area. Kudos to them for doing a unique and beautiful deck surround for our 33' pool! They are the best! Bill 847-815-4848 Bud 847-710-0921

We were recommended to Benjamin Brothers from a family friend. I made contact and Cody came out to…read moredo the estimate on a roof/gutters/siding damaged during a large hail storm. I had already made a claim with my insurance company (name intentionally withheld). With the estimate in hand, we hired Benjamin Brothers to complete the work and be our representative with our insurance company. I didn't want the headache and they knew what to do. As typical with insurance claims adjusters, they tried to nickel and dime the claim and Lee and Cody fought back to get the repair covered and each piece of damage compensated. Due to the back-and-forth, the job was delayed (weather/seasons) and the insurance tried to not pay the depreciation funds. We fought back again and the funds were finally released. The work was done professionally and when there was a slight issue with the repair, they corrected it immediately. They were responsive to our e-mails and phone calls and helped us through the dealing with our insurance company.

Tu Construction won our business without hesitation…read more The free inspection was prompt (next day), they identified our issues and set an appointment for the following day to present their bid. They brought at least a dozen color samples. We sat down and were fully informed in the most professional manner about the cost, financing available, timeframe and what to expect. Bob, Angel, JC, and Giulia are all fantastic! They took care of all village permits. From our estimate to completion was 11 days and would have been shorter but the village permit takes time. They arrived at 7am and our roof was completed by 6pm. They also properly vented our bathroom fans through the roof included in our roof replacement. They left our yard and driveway completely clean and free of debris. With a bit of snow still in the ground, they came back after it melted to double-check that all debris was cleaned up. I wholeheartedly recommend TU Construction. Nice people, great work, prompt, professional, and communication was excellent! Very happy customer!
