Went there for an inspection on a car that we hardly use and is in great condition and was told it will not pass because of small cracks in the back tires. My truck's brakes were squeaky and so I went in for a diagnostic. They said I needed new front brakes and quoted me the amount. They said they'd call me when the truck was ready. I waited and waited but they never called, and a few hours later I called and they said the job was complete. The bill was about $100 over the quote. I think the owner has something against people of color because I got such a negative vibe the moment I got there. I pulled in front of the garage door this am at 8:05am for an inspection. The owner and 1 employee were sitting in the back and the other employee was on the phone working on a car. All 3 completely ignored me. Due to COVID a lot of the autobody shops still require you to stay in your vehicle even though you're vaccinated, that's why I didn't get out. I'm sitting there waiting for him to guide me in and he literally sat there. So I get out with my registration and I proceed inside to the register. He shouts at me " CAN I HELP YOU SIR" I respond " Hi Good Morning, I'm here for a new inspection sticker" "Leave your registration and keys on the seat and I'll drive it in. I did as I was told and then I stood 10 feet away from car. He comes to check the tints on my window. He only checks 1 window. He turns around and looks at me and says " REJECTED, your windows are too dark" and walks away with the "Ohh well, I don't care attitude". My tint # was off by 1 point. So I asked how long, is the REJECTION good for"? He pretty much bit my head off. " If I give you a REJECTION, I'm not re-inspecting this car! If you want to pass here, you're going to have peel your tints off or TAKE IT ELSE WHERE! I wasn't going to argue, I just got in my car and left and went to the spot in CANTON I should've went to first where I had no issue. I went to Sharon because it was close to the commuter rail and I would catch the next train for work. Since I didn't get any service and time was taken from me, and I missed the train, I had to drive to Quincy and pay $9 for parking and hop on the subway. Stay away from 303 NORTH MAIN ST!! Came to get my inspection. I asked the guys if he is available he didn't even looked at me. Very rude! Spent all the time talking on the phone as I was standing to get my car done and get going! I drove in yesterday to get a state inspection. I pulled up behind the cars already in the garage, to ask if I should wait or come back. I politely asked this question. A guy working there finally came up to me, asked what I wanted, and I repeated the above. He said, "you will have to move your car, leave the registration on the seat with the keys." I responded, yes I know I have been taking my car here for 20 years. I replied that I would be waiting in the car, so I will do that before you take my car in. He replied, "well you to need to move it". I said yes, I understand. I was walking back to my car, and the two mechanics said right in front of me, well if this is how our day is going to start..... These people are awful! Unprofessional, rude, and dishonest. I have stopped going there due to their incompetence and dishonesty. My wife recently went there for an inspection sticker, thinking there's no way they can screw that up but how wrong she was. They use inspections as a way to get you to do unnecessary work or to charge for things they claim will prevent them from passing the car. This place is AWFUL. Took my car to get a state inspection. Guy wouldn't pass the car due to "dry and cracked tires." The tires are fine--no punctures, no loss of air pressure at all. Wow- hands down the worst customer service experience of my life. The owner is completely rude and disrespectful. I went to get an inspection sticker, and he tried to charge me $10 to switch the plates. I told him I could just do it myself in that case, and he said fine and walked away. He acted annoyed when I asked him if I could borrow a screwdriver to do it, and ended up actually yelling at me when I was trying to ask him a question, asking if I was the expert or he was. The owner is a greedy scumbag. If you argue with him and disagree on the price, he will call the cops on you and demand payment in CASH. Went to this place for years as a local place in Sharon to give business to a local place. This guy does not give a crap about you or anyone, just money. I had a sticker rejected because of some engine issues (needed to run a certain amount of miles before it was up to standard for inspection), was told to come back within 2 month to re-inpect. Busy, vacation etc, came back. He asked for another 35, naturally I argued. First word out of his mouth was: if you do not pay I call the cops. WTF? The guy was so rude and obnoxious, said I was a "difficult customer" and he will only take cash from me. The entire time he was being incredibly rude and unpleasant. This place is horrific. They arrogant, rude and thugs. They over charged (with made up charges) 96.00. The car was towed per the police and police ordered tow charges are mandated by Mass law 220 C.M.R S272 which allows for a MAXIMUM tow charge of 108.00 and 35.00 per day storage. Our bill should have been 178.00 per the law. They charged an additional 10.80 in millage, 10.00 in fuel. and 75.00 to "tow" out of the yard my car when they released it to us. So the grande total of 274.00 was demanded of us to get out car which by law we should have had to pay 178.00. The tow truck driver tried to intimidate me by REPEATEDLY HONKING his MACK truck tow truck horn at me and telling me to "well then have a nice day" when I tried to dispute the charges. We will be following up with legal action. read more

I went there to get an inspection sticker. My car is in very good condition and I was confident it would easily pass inspection. it did, except for 1 thing. I was told my passenger side windshield wiper failed. I could buy a new one there for $19.00. The mechanic was surprised when I said no and told him to put a rejection sticker on my car. Ilooked at the wiper later that day. Yea there was a little streak on windshield from the wiper but I bet 99 out of 100 auto sticker inspectors would have passed it without blinking an eye. I'm sure that over the yrs I've had wipers in worse condition than that. So anyway I went to walmart and bought passenger side wiper blade for $4.00, returned to Annex Auto and got the inspection sticker. read more

i have been going to annex auto in sharon ma for a couple years..i have never had a problem with the pricing and services they offer..before they do anything to my car they always let me know before they actually work on it..they have always been reasonably priced as well which is amazing..the mechanic that is pretty much always there joe has excellent customer service skills , personality and makes sure you know all the details and gets done what needs to be done...i have never had a problem with him throughout the years i have been goin..i really do highly recommend joe and annex auto to anyone that i talk to and anyone that needs an amazing honest mechanic read more

A friend went there and failed her inspection for a cracked windshield (totally understandable) and a bulb in her headlight out (found out later). He never specified the headlight and hers had a crack in it so we were confused and went back to ask. We talked to the shorter guy who got the tall guy to come out and without a hesitation he asks "are you a licensed state inspector!?" I said "no I'm not but I have a" and I was cut off with him saying "so you don't know anything you're talking about!". I told him I wasn't questioning his work but I was confused If the headlight failed for the crack or something else. He said it was a bulb, had her turn the lights on and he just said "see you have no idea!" and it was honestly just the bulb that lights the headlight, nothing more. I told him ok that's all I wanted to know because I didn't really see anything and wasn't sure, again telling him I'm not questioning his work but just had a question. He then went on to tell me he went to school for this and I work at (shirt I was wearing) because I have no mechanical experience. I've done exhaust work for years and never have a met a more aggressive and overall miserable person in the business. If you were to mix shrek and a troll you'd get the mechanic there, sharing the same attitude and aggressive manner. I'd avoid this place at all costs. read more
