The plants, the natural light, and the thoughtful studio design create an atmosphere that feels both peaceful and inspiring. My absolute favorite class is Intentional Flow on Thursdays with Aviva. It is the perfect balance of movement, breath, and presence. I always leave feeling stronger, clearer, and completely reset. I honestly wish they offered this class more than once a week because it is that good. The overall experience, from the warm welcome to the flow of the class itself, feels intentional and uplifting. It is a space that truly supports both body and mind. Highly recommend if you are looking for a studio with beautiful energy and meaningful classes

I think I found a great New Yoga Studio!!!…read more So because of my awesome yelpers, I went on Yelp to find a great Yoga studio.... Thanks to you guys I found the perfect studio. Doctor cleared me to start back Yoga, so I dived right in!!! I started off with Sunday Flow with instructor Nadia, let me first start off with saying she is BEAUTIFUL!!! She was very vibrant, I felt her energy in just seconds of being in the room. I love her personality- she says little jokes while instructing us to shift from one position to the other, although some of us like myself still trying to keep that balance, and she says something funny and I'm laughing and my balancing is gone .. ahaha but no she seems so real. You can tell she has been a student as well, she doesn't give off just teacher, teacher vibes.. like I'm better than you guys because your students and I'm the teacher. She literally told us, " it's okay if your body is shaking, mines is too.. let it let go of whatever it needs.".. I looked over and her body was shaking, it made me feel like it's really okay my body is not comfortable with this position.... Everyone is my class was extremely nice, very dedicated to Yoga it seemed and I had a great experience!!! The inside of the studio is VERY CLEAN!!! One thing I look for, and it was so cutesy, I loved it!!!!! Beautiful sunlight, and get this, it was not stuffy at all. For me, I find a lot of yoga studio stuffy, but this studio is not!!! I love it here, I think this may be home!!!! Parking is street parking, it's a residential neighborhood- it's a little sticky, so get there a little early... Thank you Nadi for a GREAT CLASS TODAY!!!!

I've taken a lot of classes, and Ali's is one of those rare ones that just works…read more First off: it's fun. Not forced fun. Actual, genuine fun. One night she casually asks the class which animals in the animal kingdom are the friendliest... and which ones are the biggest jerks. It turns into a quick, funny group discussion before we even roll out our mats--consider it a warm-up for your personality. But don't be fooled by the lightness. This is a seriously good workout. Ali pushes you in a way that makes you believe you can do the hard stuff. You leave sweaty, accomplished, and genuinely proud of yourself. The classes are: * Challenging but not intimidating * Educational without being preachy * Lighthearted without losing focus The music deserves its own shoutout. Ali clearly curates the playlist every single time. No recycled vibes. Every class feels fresh--and I've been to seven so far. Most importantly, the energy in the room is always positive. People are smiling. Everyone feels welcome. Ali is kind, friendly, and genuinely inclusive, whether it's your first class or your fiftieth. If you're looking for a yoga class that's smart, challenging, not too serious, and consistently good--this is it.

I've been going to Yoga Amansala for the past 2-3 years, first infrequently for a yoga class here…read moreor there until discovering Kay's inferno Pilates class, which quickly became a building block of my fitness journey and for lack of a less corny phrase, legitimately changed my life. I began regularly attending her, and eventually Lauren's classes and after years of battling creeping weight gain and a cycle of under and then overworking at the gym, I finally found a workout program that worked for me. Through their coaching and consistency, I lost 30 lbs, toned up my arms, and legs, and developed visible abs. They helped to correct my form eliminating back and neck pain that had previously plagued me. I found a community of other regular clients in their classes who I now consider to be friends. Unfortunately, Yoga Amansala does not appear to prioritize holding on to good instructors and with Kay gone since October and Lauren now gone I no longer see a reason to continue my monthly unlimited membership. I love Shauna's classes too but she unfortunately teaches at times that are not suitable for folks who have to work during the day. It's a real shame, because the studio space is nice and well maintained. But what the owner doesn't realize it that it's the instructors that made this place special. Without them it's just a heated room .

Club Pilates in Alameda has been the perfect way for me to get back into exercising consistently…read more There's nothing like a steep membership fee to really motivate you to go to class haha. I did the intro class with Dominique right after Thanksgiving and after a quick chat with Kat, the assistant manager, I was convinced to sign up for the unlimited membership (single studio). The sale offer is $202/month for the first month, then the regular price of $289/month for a 3-month commitment. I guess I'm committed for 3 months! Instructors here really focus on breathing and modifications/accommodations. It's been great trying classes with all of the instructors, then finding your faves. My personal faves are Dominique, Sara, Justine, and Laura! I love that they use a variety of equipment to really maximum the range of motion for our bodies. Very clean studio, plenty of parking in the plaza area. Would recommend!

It was a great balance of multiple options that a typical pilates class might include. The class was packed to the brim with 12 students, but it didn't feel crowded. It was very clean. There wasn't a ton of space for people to wait for the previous class to finish, but it wasn't a big deal. There are lockers (just crates; no locks) to stow your items. There is a water fill station. We brought our own grippy socks, but there are socks available for purchase. There is plenty of parking. There was a waiver we filled out and brief information was shared at the end if we were interested in signing up that day. Obviously, prices change/ fluctuate and pilates classes are generally quite pricy, and that's true here too. Leading up to the class, it was easy enough to sign up. I wanted to take the class with my sister, but it was full. However, it somehow worked out that we were in the same class. Overall, we had a wonderful experience!

Unfortunately I don't highly recommend it. There are many things I do like: it's a diverse studio…read morein terms of teachers and students, it's pretty affordable, and the teachers are generally pretty inclusive. What I don't like is that it's not the cleanest studio. Like I've practiced where dust balls and left behind clumps of hair land on my mat when the person next to me drops their mat. And, there never is enough space when the class is crowded so you might be forced to practice by the door which is where everyone walks in and tracks in dirt from outside. But my review is actually about getting pregnant and asking for a membership freeze! At first it seemed so convenient. Other studios made me fill out a form but this one just said to send an email. So I did. They didn't specify any policies in place and I just thought they were the most mom-friendly studio! But in my flurry (I was traveling abroad for 2 weeks) I didn't read the end part of the email where it asked me to tell them when I wanted the freeze to start. So the next billing cycle came and I caught the charge and circled back. I asked for them to freeze my membership immediately. They replied and told me sure and that I would be credited an additional month when I returned. Everything seemed fine. Then a month later, I kid you not, I got charged again! I emailed them and asked if it was a mistake. Someone else replied and said that it was not- it's part of their 30 day cancellation policy to charge me. And then I immediately received an email after that that my membership got cancelled. So I asked them about the credit, why I was receiving a cancellation notice when I asked for a freeze... and why would I be charged a full month then get my membership immediately canceled? I emailed them three times. I finally learned that there is a policy and freezes only last 90 days. When you request a freeze, you need to specify the start and end date. I still don't know why my membership got canceled instead of frozen. I understand if they are understaffed but when it comes to billing, there should be clear and consistent policies stated available to read online, they should be email to clients when clients inquire, and someone should reply quickly when there are discrepancies!

I attended a noon class and the instructor/owner Nicole was great - she is clearly a very naturally gifted body worker, and she is also extremely knowledgeable and accomplished when she demonstrates her technique. She is very exact and can explain the various stretches and moves in articulate detail. I would have been intimidated by this, but she is also a very warm and encouraging (read: forgiving) instructor, perfect for a novice such as myself. The more advanced students also seemed to get a lot out of her nuanced adjustments and corrections: She was also able to move fluidly between students with a very wide range of experience and capability. I also noticed that the studio interior was well designed for pilates and bodywork. The space was not overly "woo woo" like some yoga studios you see these days, but also not cold like a gym; it was the perfect combination that communicated "this is a kind and nurturing place, and we also intend to do serious work on your body." I plan to return when my schedule allows and would highly recommend this place for anyone interested in starting pilates or continuing a practice you already have in motion.

Both times I went there were interruptions because a few other people needed special attention during class session which are costly minutes. I took the classes with the owner and she was extremely knowledgeable, but rather than having long winded explanations of the history of Pilates, more attention to the workout would be best.
