I am sick of tile and grout. I am sick of broken or stained tiles and granite surfaces on countertops and in showers. These surfaces are the easiest to maintain you can choose and they can be repaired or polished and made like new if something bad happens. To be fair, she didn't really have to twist my arm. I have a soft spot for kitchenware. However, I wanted one that was bigger than the one they had in store. I needed to make a repair at the doorway that was widened to accommodate wheelchair access from the master bedroom to the master bath. Merit's representative, Isaiah Parham and I agreed to repair carpet taking swatch from my master bedroom closet that would match existing carpet. In addition I had 1 piece of laminate flooring that bubbled on the surface needing replacement. I had extra laminate for that repair. I subsequently was quoted $800 to make the repairs. This, in my personal opinion, is a very outrageous price given it should only take 1 hour max to make both repairs. Due the lack of good faith in providing reasonable pricing for this repair, I would never ever recommend Merit Carpet due to their lack of basic customer service.
