I may not wear make-up ever, but when I do I make every attempt to make it flawless. The ever…read moretricky smoky eye is the culprit for me always running into trouble on all my big events. Sometimes it's great, sometimes not so much. Of course once that is taken care of, then comes the biggest source of my headaches, my dam hair! In comes Groupon and Blush Lounge. I purchased he infamous groupon which included a make-up and hair class. I went all out. And I will admit it was worth the investment. The class allows you to test your skills and then have the "teacher" correct it. The hair class also gives you great tips for doing your hair differently. I'd do it again. Also love the feel of the studio, makes you feel so glamorous!

I absolutely love to do my makeup for a night out on the town, but I must admit, I am no expert. I…read morebelieve I have my night time look down pat, but I have never been able to pull off a proper smoky eye. I've tried countless times, and yet, it never comes out right. A friend of mine knew about my plight and found a Groupon that was offering makeup lessons at Blush Lounge. I immediately jumped at the opportunity and made an appointment for later in the week. The building that Blush Lounge resides in is an old warehouse in Wynwood and it was a bit confusing to get inside. Another person arrived for the class at the same time that I did and we both didn't know how to get inside the building because the intercom system did not seem to work. We knocked several times, but no one came to the door. I eventually called the number provided and that is when I spoke to someone and they let us in. We found the room for the class and it looked like a room for photo shoots. Half of the room was set up for modeling and the other half had mirrors and chairs for makeup. Our teacher introduced herself and asked us what type of makeup tricks we wanted to learn. It was unanimous that we all wanted to learn the smoky eye. The teacher did one eye, and we did the other eye on our own. The instructor was very nice and would assist us with any questions we asked. She also gave us tips on what type of makeup style would go well with our facial features. The class went really well and my eyes came out great! I feel much more confident about doing a smoky eye on my own for a night out on the town. I would recommend anyone to visit Blush Lounge if you are interested in learning how to do your makeup or do your makeup for a special occasion.

Eventually i was brought up to where the massage school is and was greeted by no one that spoke any english. Eventually one student who spoke a little english arrived 30+ minutes later. The teacher told me they could only do back massages and for 30 minutes only. I agreed since i had already made the trip however this was a HUGE mistake. I waited 40 minutes outside of the classroom where i repeatedly heard them talking about me and the service. When i was eventually invited in i was handed a dirty massage towel that had a ton of hair in the velcro and a massage bed full of stains. The massage started while the class was still running and all i could hear was talking. I paid well over the advertised price, $40 for what was supposed to be a 30 min massage and was nothing more than 20 minutes, i actually thought she was joking when she said it was finished. I checked the time on my phone and it wasn't even 18 minutes. By this point i was so annoyed i just wanted to leave. Granted i know they are students, but this is a massage school, you would think they are being taught actual techniques. I was basically tickled for 18 min for $40. I have been to several massage schools before where i got services done by a student under supervision of an instructor, this was beyond a SCAM!!!
