The food is so tasty. I highly recommend the barbecue! The combo includes two ulams, noodles, rice, and iced tea. I was really full but I finished it all. I'm so grateful the man that worked there told me that two of the ulams I was going to pick were based off the same sauce so I did not end up with the same tasting food. Even my meat eating sister loved the food here! If you're short on time and don't have a chance to try out other vegetarian restaurants here (due to meat eating traveling companions and a bunch of family living here) you need to at least come here!

It serves Filipino staple foods like Kare-Kare, Pansit, Beef and Broccoli, Barbecue, and many more. The only twist is all of these dishes don't contain any kind of meat in them. How can you have Beef and Broccoli without beef? Is there even a type of Barbecue that's not made out of meat? Well, Bodhi uses tofu as a meat substitute. Their food tastes so good, you can't even tell that everything is made out of tofu. It's way healthier and cheaper. I usually have issues concerning my weight. I just can't imagine myself looking fat. Whenever I feel like I am gaining a few pounds, I just stop eating at fast food restaurants and I go to healthier options like Bodhi. They have a wide selection of meals to choose from and all of their dishes are sold at a very fair price.

FYI, I ate Balut on this trip!!!!!!!! Finally Freeeeeeeeeee. Hahhahaahahahha…read more I'm so confused. Admittedly, Filipino food for the most part, not my jam. Most likely Tim Ho Wan curtailed their menu/dishes, way of cooking to the fillipino palate......maybe???? I'm confused that a previously Michelin rated domain super franchise has some super mediocre dishes. Actually the Yang Chow fried rice is 1 star at best. Didn't even finish it. The pork chop was decent, they had a different take on the frying and I appreciated it. But the fried rice, 3 bites, nope. The Prawn Fried Chicken wings and drums........soooo confusing. When it arrived I smelled shrimp, it was strong enough to overtake the table, not in a bad way just had u questioning how chicken could smell so strongly Prawn. I guess that's why they call it that! Perhaps it's a thing here or am existing trend I'm clueless about, but for me, yea.......no. Fried chicken itself was good, just like the Tim How Wan in China (without the prawn frying) but the prawn frying here was just nope! The beef brisket noodle soup.......noodles mushy. A big nonooooooooo. Beef and tendons were just ok. Broth just ok..... The BBQ Pork Buns thankfully NOT messed with. Always the shining star of Tim Ho Wan. Flaky, hot, tasty. The salvaging only dish here. Everything but the Buns (4 Star), 1 Star. Service, hard working people, especially front desk taking names and numbers - 4 Star girl. 2 stars overall. Super odd, and I hope a super outlier for a franchise I expect WAY MORE FROME.

A hot, boring afternoon quickly turns into a game of bahay-bahayan (upon insistence of the girls), which also includes lutu-lutuan. Younger pyros, like me, are quick to pounce on this suggestion, as this gives us a reason to do two things: start fires, and burn things with wide-eyed, maniacal glee. Fast forward to now, and the pyro in me still demands that a sacrifice be made to gods of fire (preferably through a tiki statue), while I demand constant feeding, preferably barbecued beef. For a fee, I can indulge in both through Sambokojin. This buffet joint is, pardon my enthusiasm, the balls! I get to eat as much Korean fried chicken (but of course), and I get to cook and eat as much beef as is ethically allowed. Their cakes and desserts are tempting enough that I do manage to slyly fall off my wagon when I do this, and that's saying something for a guy with diabetes and no sweet tooth; I actually actively seek out something I have no interest in, and prohibited to me. To cut a long love letter short, cook your own food on a hot plate, eat fried chicken, finish with dessert. Yum!

It's a bit hard to find since its hidden on a side street behind Fersal Hotel , which is just in front of A-Venue mall. Just keep walking and you'll be greeted by the smokey grill, colorful lights and Makati's foodie crowd. As soon as I stepped inside, I already knew I was going to like this place. It's like El Chupa only cleaner, less dingy and has more of a beach bum kind of feel. (I think it's the wooden floorboards and colorful lights.) The only thing I didn't like, maybe was the fact that they kept on asking if I had ordered yet, or if there was anyone with me. (Which I get, since they're busy and I'm all alone at a table, but I had already explained that I was waiting for more people, which they seemed to forget.) On to the food: if you don't like anything spicy or flavorful, this place is not for you. Seriously. Their chicken is AMAZING. I love their spicy kangkong (doused with oil though), which pairs well with their fried rice. They've also got a large selection of cocktails and wine, apart from the normal beers. (I got lychee cocktail! Pretty yum.) Definitely coming back and making this a regular hang out! It's cleaner, newer, and is better ventilated than El Chupa.

(on foot) From "A Venue", cross Makati Ave, walk along Guanzon, and you'll see the restaurant on your left. Restaurant I expected it to be warm since it's hole-in-the-wall but it's kinda breezy during the evening, making our stay relaxing. The dine-in space is limited with a few seats outside but they have a bar, high chairs and all. Morning Glory with Garlic This one is typical veggies. It's okay to have for mixing things up but I won't really look for it. Thai Basil Chicken We liked it enough to get an extra order. We shared but each order is already a meal for one person. Thai Stir Fried Glass Noodles This is their Pad Thai. It's good but not the best I've had just yet. Service It was quick up to taking care of the bill.
