This is the only place that I bring my recycling. Even though I live about an hour drive from here,…read moreI find that it's worth the drive & I normally just save up a cars worth of plastic water bottles & aluminum cans. My HOA also does this, but I find that it's strange that I would want to pay them to take these & they get paid on top of that for them. As prices are constantly changing, you'd have to call for the daily prices-but these are for this week.

Came here to drop off some cans and plastic bottles. For about 1 year now I have been seeing signs…read morethat say .25cents per pound for bottles. So I had 2 big trash bags of bottles and a bag of cans. The guys working there were really nice, but said they were no longer taking bottles. They have too many of them. But, when they saw how many I had they took pity on me and bought them from me for .10cents a pound. Hey ,that is cool, then I did not have to haul them all the way home again. True enough they did not have that sign out anymore and cans are down to .65cents a pound. But, Ce la Vie. What can you do. It is like playing the stock Market.

I was looking for a recycling center that accepts soda cans, soda glass bottles and plastic water…read morebottles. This place only accepted my soda cans. They just don't accept plastic or glass bottles here. This place looks like a dump but the customer service is very fast and efficient. Most of the workers here are Spanish speaking so hopefully you can make out what they tell you. My Spanish is Sykes rusty so I only understood 5% of what they said. All in all, this was a pleasant experience. Obviously, you're not gonna get rich by recycling anything but it does give you some pocket change to maybe buy a lottery ticket or two. I don't recall what the exact redemption value was for bringing in your unwanted cans for cash but I got around 50 cents for maybe 1.5 lbs of soda cans. Almost enough for a $1 lottery scratcher. The workers here will unload your trunk for you and weigh it all and than give you the proper amount of money. Fast service and you don't even need to lift a finger besides opening your trunk that is. I'm from Hawaii and back home, you can actually pay a utility bill or cell phone bill with your recycling money. Not here in Phoenix, it's a totally different process here so I'm gonna start trashing all my recyclables instead. Hope this helps my fellow planeteers!!

I am a lead technician for a local hvac and low temp mechanical company…read more I sent one of our apprentices here with accumulated scrap from jobs because it was close in proximity and on a Saturday. They paid only for steel pricing because a small condensing unit and air handler had steel caging on the units. However, there was also some raw copper and motors that this place refused to separate and pay as such. We will not being any business with this company moving forward as this is complete laziness and a rip off. We normally use Deer Valley recycling located on I-17 and Deer Valley rd because they are honest and will weigh everything separately and pay accordingly. Also a lot less junkies with shopping carts etc at Deer Valley. Don't waste your time with revolutionized recycling, they will rip you off and treat you like a crack head.

Aluminum can recyclers, this is your place!…read more After collecting hundreds of empty soda cans over the past year, we needed somewhere to drop them off and hopefully make a couple bucks. Many "recycling center" websites looked sketchy or appeared closed for business. We even had a coupon to a place offering additional payment for cans, but couldn't find reviews or details about the business online. Finally, BIRC showed up in my Yelp search and seemed like the place to go. I drove up to the front of the facility, and followed the large signs to pull into the garage area. The setup is very straightforward and I was greeted quickly by technicians ready to help me measure my cans. The technician explained the process, showed me how the cans would be weighed, and provided me with a receipt. I took the receipt over to the cashier just a few steps away, and was out the door with cash in hand. Check out their website for all the different types of materials they recycle. You might be surprised what they accept. Overall, I'm very happy with my experience here.
