I was hesitant to see counseling, as I was dealing with depression I was hard for me to open up. A…read morefriend recommended me to call Stonebridge counseling, I called and had a nice Experience. Beginning with the person that answer my call, she was very professional, and was able to guide me to the right direction. After talking to the therapist, I felt such a great relief and peace within. I didn't feel judged and was able to speak freely. I highly recommend others to to seek counseling with Stonebridge.

I have never left a scathing review of any business online, but this experience was so unethical…read moreand unprofessional that I feel obligated to for the sake of others. Please do yourself a favor and do NOT try to get therapy through this place. I went through being subjected to a series of unprofessional and even unethical issues trying to get in with this place. The first person I spoke with to book an appointment, Dana, was highly unprofessional in the way she handled my intake. Here are the issues I had to deal with when trying to go through this office: 1) I made an appointment with Dana to see Kyla on a Tuesday at 6:30pm. Less than 2 hours before the appointment, I still had not received a link for the TeleHealth visit, and had not received ANY communication from Dana. I had to reach out to Dana via text at 4:40pm, less than 2 hours before the appointment, because they did not answer the phone due to being in a meeting. Dana was texting me while in a meeting and telling me that they no longer wanted me to see Kyla due to them not wanting to have to do "intake all over again" (quoting directly from the text I am looking at) if I were to eventually see Kyla in person rather than through TeleHealth. She stated that she put me down as a "Pending Insurance and Appointment Verification" appointment. That doesn't matter, I never received any notice before my appointment to let me know that the appointment would not work. The entire time I had been expecting an appointment with Kyla that evening at 6:30pm. At 4:56pm, about an hour and a half before my appointment with Kyla at 6:30pm, Dana informed me that she would like to get me in with another provider (Kaela). Again, this is all an hour and a half before my appointment after COMPLETE radio silence and zero indication that my appointment would need to be rescheduled. The appointment with Kaela would have been while I am working, so she stated that she would reach out to Kyla and that Kyla would reach out to me directly. 2) Kyla DID reach out to me directly via text...at 5:19pm...just over an hour before my appointment. She stated (again, quoting from the text): "I was not expecting you today, due to the short notice." This "short notice" was because Dana NEVER informed Kyla until an hour and a half before my appointment that I had created an appointment with Kyla. Kyla then stated that she would have to see me NEXT Tuesday AND that Dana had given me the incorrect weekly time and that the opening was at 5:30pm and not 6:30pm. 3) Then Kyla told me she would send me the paperwork that evening, and never did. I had to text her TWO DAYS later to let her know I never received the paperwork. I didn't get a call until the next day, letting me know that I did not get the forms yet because I had never been set up with a portal. Dana NEVER told me I needed to set up a portal. I don't know how Dana got this job, but she is unprofessional and unethical. I gave her the benefit of the doubt, but it just got worse (see below). 4) I called and told Dana that my insurance was Anthem Blue Cross PPO. She got my membership number and looked it up and saw that I had a deductible. I mentioned that mental health visits do NOT apply to the deductible for my plan, and would only pay the $45 co-pay per visit. She looked at it and said that I am right and even said "Wow, you're on it, that's rare"! She never told me that it was out-of-network. Later on, when I spoke to the intake person, Britney, who was going to set me up with a portal, Britney told me that they are NOT in-network with my insurance and that I would not have a co-pay of only $45, and would instead need to pay $115-130 for visits until I meet my out-of-network deductible. I told her what Dana had told me, and she put me on hold and spoke to Dana while I was on hold. 5) Dana LIED and claimed that she never told me that the co-pay would be $45. I can handle a lot of things, because mistakes DO happen. But blatantly lying is unacceptable. I am now looking into potentially filing a complaint with the BBB and/or relevant State authorities.

I can't believe all these reviews! It is a little early for a rating but I just wanted to give my…read moreexperience since the criticisms assault this doctor's character. i am a woman and didn't feel disrespected for a minute. and i told him a big story that he had to correct because I was completely wrong about the most important thing. he corrected me respectfully, without putting me down for getting it wrong or anything! and i have gotten the feeling from other psychiatrists that they think they are experts about everything and that whatever you think doesn't matter because you are the crazy one and they get to pass judgement on your mind. he wasn't like that at all, and it has been hard for me to find a doctor that isn't like that somehow. my last paychiatrist accused me of all sorts of pejorative things because I filed a lawsuit and then never followed through, without realizing that I filed the suit the day before the camp fire that I kept telling her was so traumatic for me and messed up my life so much. first of all, why did she bother to look that up about me, when its irrelevant to the meds I need, then pass judgement based on assumptions? this guy did none of that kind of crap, and my first appoint with him is one of the best psychiatric appointments I have had. I am a little concerned with what people say about bills and meds but i will come back and update this review if necessary.

I will edit this review at a later date when I have time to articulate my emotions. But please…read moreavoid this doctor. Especially if you're a woman. I never felt safe or comfortable with him or his medical guidance. When I came to him with brand new medical journal articles and a list of my symptoms, he got in a yelling match with me about my diagnosis. I made one comment about my sex life and Sexuality and he sternly told me I was manic and needed to go on lithium which was so far from my plan of care I started sobbing during my final zoom appointment. He coldly told me we can schedule another appointment so I can hang up and calm down and I told him I didn't want to hang up and cut my appointment short because I had been waiting for this appointment for months. He also told me that he himself has a diagnosis of ADHD, so he would definitely know if I had ADHD. Which is such a ridiculous claim to make as a psychiatrist. He was rude, combative, condescending, cold and completely unreasonable. I ended up abruptly ending the call because it was clear the more upset I become the more steadfast he became in his incorrect diagnosis. After the call ended I was thrust into panic and depression because I realized I suddenly had no psychiatrist. The only follow up he did was to send the automated email reminded me to reschedule to see him again in 3 months time. I remember scoffing at the email because there was no way I was ever going to be his patient again. I have since had the correct diagnosis confirmed by two separate doctors and am now on the correct medications.
