WARNING: DO NOT go to this salon for magic straight. I went to get magic straight done on my roots and Ann Hair does not have the equipment to do magic straight properly. First off, the owner tries to convince me for the first 30 minutes to get keratin done before she starts the magic straight. She says it works wonders - yet her salon doesn't have ventilation and I would have to sit outside while she works on my hair - umm no thank you? It's 85 degrees and I would rather not sit outside with all sorts of crazy things attached to my hair. As she fails to convince me to agree to do keratin, she continues to explain that my hair may show a mark/crease between the area where she performs the magic straight (roots) and the rest of my hair. I have gotten magic straight done twice a year for the past few years - why would that ever happen?! I'm very cautious at this point, but I give her the benefit of doubt and let her to continue as she boasts about her hair cutting skills and how great of a hair stylist she is. So she begins the procedure and puts the chemicals in my hair.. I wait...wait another hour or so again.... she grabs some more product from the tub because my hair is not relaxing as she thought it should (mind you, while she was convincing me to do keratin she was trying to make me believe that I already have straight hair and don't need to get magic straight done when I told her my hair is naturally wavy) and wait some more... she grabs more product from the tub... wait again and then finally washes it and begins straightening it with a cheap hair straighter that is NOT salon quality - they went over each hair piece 6/7 times to attempt to get it straight. You know this would never ever happen at any other legit salon because my hair would have burned off with a straighter that actually works as it should. After she finishes straightening, I look up and see my frizzy hair/ half straightened hair - when you get magic straight done, your hair should be pin straight, no ifs or buts. I went in at 11am and left the salon a little after 4pm - total of 5 hours+. I pay and leave with frizzy hair that doesn't look like I did anything to it. NEVER AGAIN will I go to this salon. Ann Hair should not be performing magic straight on any client until they have the proper equipment and products. read more
