The procedure went fast and smoothly. Each person was like an assembly line once one was done, the next patient was taken care of. Once you get that shot through the IV, you're out in 10 mins. It took about an hour and half from when he got inside. You will be spoken to the doctor if there was a big issue to be said but he was able to leave with paperwork of what happens next. I have never once seen him turn straight to a computer to look up my symptoms and play a guessing game until coming up with a possible diagnosis like so many younger and newer doctors I've come across lately. I miss having this kind of doctor around, and now that I see he's also a GI doctor, I won't hesitate to be switching over to him as my permanent internist. He's a very nice physician and I highly recommend him to anyone who is going to Bay Valley for the first time.

I had a discovery call with you prior to this consultation and you told me that my case was the type of case that your clinic works with all the time. This is why I decided to pay the $500 because I thought I would get an individualized plan. I have had consultations with other functional medicine practitioners and naturopaths before and this appointment was used to build a plan for me. Not listen to a sales pitch. I found out the cost for these other providers' programs during the 15 minute discovery call. And by the way, you are not telling the truth about offering a $35,000 program. You said "For accuracy, we don't offer a $35,000 program". I have documents to prove that you do, which I've posted here. There are three tiers I was offered: Platinum 12 month program, a Gold 12 month program but not as many "perks" and visits, and then a 6 month program, which I was deterred from because I have a lot of issues and it takes time to resolve (which I agree with). And all of these programs don't include labs or supplements!! I was being steered towards the Platinum program for 35k, BUT if I signed up before 7/30/25 and paid in full, I would only pay $25k! I enjoy the video visits, not only because of COVID-19, but because the staff are efficient, kind and professional. I can focus on my concerns and care is giving in a timely manner. When I started to check-in, I was told I did not have an appointment today. A half hour later I was told that my appointment had been cancelled but that I could wait around and they would "try to squeeze me in". I then proceed to contact Dr. Adler's office was told "your appointment was cancelled by your girlfriend because you wanted to go to San Leandro Hospital due to insurance reasons". I responded that I had never cancelled my appointment and that there had been a major mistake on your staff's part in confusing me with another patient. It's concerning there was a note in my chart that should have been in another patient's chart. Fortunately, this error in charting occurred regarding scheduling of a procedure and not directly related to mine or another other patient's medical care, which would cause pause for a risk management issue. During a telephone conversation with Dr. Adler about the situation and mistake made by his staff, Dr. Adler expressed a laissez-faire and cavalier attitude regarding this situation in stating, "these things happen and slip through the cracks at times". Dr. Adler also stated that I should "go with the flow and that nobody died or contracted cancer". This is the most unprofessional statement and attitude that I have ever seen or heard from a physician and certainly, not one of empathy, as facilitated in Dr. Adler's medical training. This situation and response by Dr. Adler and his staff does not bode well in instilling confidence in the overall care being coordinated for me as a patient. First impressions are everything in life. Dr. Adler, along with his staff, have made a lasting impression alright, but in a negative manner.

His medical staff has been amazing with all f/u needs. Even after f/u at UCSF for colon cancer workup, Dr. Peterson has continued to follow up with us, reviews all labs/scans, and ensures NOTHING is falling through the cracks. He and the entire medical staff are great efficient advocates. We are in good hands!
