After multiple ultra-sounds and two sessions of the same photos of my leg, follow-ups, etc., my leg looks exactly the same as it did before my first appointment. There is absolutely no improvement in the vein situation in my leg. I will say that everyone was very professional and the attention to detail regarding cleaniness was excellent. Unfortunately, that didn't eliminate the spider veins in my leg. I never knew what was going to happen at the next visit until I was in the room. I kept going back, but only three small veins in the back of my leg were treated. A varicose vein was cauterized (not sure of the medical term); other than those things, nothing was done. The woman who did the ultra sounds should work on being more personable. There was little communication on her part. The owner of the business keeps apologizing to patients who give the clinic low ratings. Instead of apologies, it might be a good idea to work on improving your treatment of patients. My insurance company paid you thousands, yet I have no results.

Lots of people get offended when they encounter a "straight shooter" who gives his opinion no matter how the patient "feels" about it. Dr. Hamed is a striaght shooter. I had an appointment with him two weeks ago and he advised me on my lymphedema. He gave it to me straight, I really only have two options. One option was to lose a lot of weight through the bariatric surgery. He also pointed out some things I could have done, which I did do in part, but I didn't make the ultimate effort. But he was fair and told me what he thought of me personally and although he didn't actually say "get off your ass and do it and you need to do it NOW", I feel that's what he meant. Since that visit, I've been on protein shakes, and I don't even have one until 3:00pm (8:00am-2:59pm on water). It's been hard, and its going to be about a two year journey, but so far Dr. Hamed has kick started me into action! If you're looking to be coddled, Dr. Hamed probably isn't for you. But I'm a difficult person to offend, I appreciated the honesty. As far as the way the ofice runs, I've seen worse. I had a 9:40 appointment. I arrived at 9:30 and saw 6 people ahead of me in line. Normally that means I won't be seen until noon. But I was the third person called into the back. When I was called, one person complained that he had been there an hour before they opened, and at first I felt for the guy. But after I thought about it, he didn't say he had a 9:40 appointment. So, it really doesn't matter how early you arrived, it matters what time you appointment is. And since the office opened at 9:40, his only legitimate complaint would have been that he had an appointment at the same time as me.

Dr.K here at Estea understood the assignment. I finally have the results I wanted. He listens to the patient and explains the procedure. I was nervous about the procedure being done as I am awake and under local anesthesia, but he was very reassuring. To be honest I now prefer surgery awake under local anesthesia, my recovery seemed a lot faster and I did not have to experience the general anesthesia side effects. Also, DR J was there during the surgery she is also great. The entire experience from the first consult to surgery to recovery has just been wonderful. His team is great. They even have their own app where you fill out your symptoms and payment information right away.
