I had a highly unprofessional experience trying to coordinate work with this business. When the owner, Joe, called me back, he repeatedly talked over me and would not let me explain my project needs. When I politely asked him to hear me out since I was the hiring customer, he told me to "pay someone else" and abruptly hung up on me. This lack of basic respect and customer service is completely unacceptable. I will gladly take his advice and spend my money with a company that actually values its clients. read more

This tree service was excellent. They were professional, highly skilled, and were completely receptive to feedback about the stumps which needed to be reground and they did it in a heartbeat. I highly recommend this tree service, and you cannot beat their prices. read more

I found the person I talked to on the phone too capricious and just a little bit immature for my relationship dealings.

Anjoe Tree Service removed 4 medium-sized trees. The crew arrived early, set up quickly, and completed the job within four hours. It was a complicated job since they used a crane to hoist the tree branches and tree trunks over my house to the street. Over the years, Anjoe has cut down lots of trees on my property. Anjoe's services are competitively priced. Its crew does excellent work, cleans up expertly, and is concerned with customer satisfaction. I highly recommend Anjoe Tree Service read more

I have a home in Lake George that had a limited view of the lake. I contacted Anjoe Tree Service to see if they would come up to the lake (even though they are in Albany) and they were willing to make the trip. Joe and his crew did an AMAZING job removing some trees to improve my view of the lake. His price was extremely fair and the work was excellent. This is my third job done by Anjoe!! His work is amazing! read more

I live a couple miles away and called the owner for his interest in a small job. Its ok he isn't interested but it the way he conveyed it to me. I'm sure the work he does is great based on the magazine picture but don't bother him for $200 jobs. read more

For years My Uncle has been using Joe for tree removal at our various rental properties. 2 weeks ago I had a huge tree in my yard tip and land on my house...the heavy limbs landed on my beautiful huge bonzai tree. The way it way laying on the tree I really thought there was no way anyone could save my tree. I called joe and he responded immediately coming to look same day. We set up for him to come remove the tree and Joe knew how important the bonzai was to me. I watched this process from my upstairs window and I couldnt have been more impressed by Joe. He directed his crew in a way that they were able to lift the huge limbs and saved my tree. The way he interacted with his crew was very impressive! I would hire Joe again in a heartbeat! He is knowledgeable, professional and definately knows his business. Thank You So Much Joe! read more

Wow! A very large piece of an even larger oak tree fell on my house the evening of July 3. Mostly it fell on the garage. It also fell on my car, smashing its windshield. The next day was a holiday. Then it would be the weekend. And we were expecting rain. Oh, did I mention? The house is for sale, and we had a showing scheduled for Saturday too. Panic set in. So I called around looking for help to remove these massive limbs. Voicemail. Voicemail. Voicemail. The voicemail at Anjoe Tree Service said they were booking about six weeks out. Still, I left a desperate message, and got a call back. Joe was willing to swing by my house and look at the tree the morning of July 4. He gave me an estimate on the spot. We shook hands. And he told me a small army would be at my house the next morning. Lo and behold, a small army showed up at my house the next morning. There was a giant crane. Giant trucks. Men with chainsaws and protective gear. And there was Joe, in the middle of it all, like a general on the battlefield. In an hour, it was gone. The holes on the roof were made water tight. I wrote Joe a check for the agreed upon amount. And I was free to try and figure out how to file my very first homeowners insurance claim. There was a small issue with some large logs that were meant to be hauled away later that day. Something about some special truck that was elsewhere. We were a job that was squeezed into a busy schedule, and this slipped through the cracks. After a quick call, it was speedily resolved, and Anjoe was very apologetic for the error. Problems happen. How they are resolved separates good businesses from the great ones. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you to Joe and his crew for squeezing us in, and getting our roof tree-free in such short order over a holiday weekend. read more

Although I was on the list for a while, the job was done very well. Large tree removal. The guys worked well as a team and the yard was cleaner than when they started. Highly recommended. read more

Anjoe did good work in removing a very, very large tulip poplar that was causing damage to our foundation. Given its size and how it was hanging over my house, I worried that the work would be a mess that potentially would damage my home - but it ended up not a problem at all for Joe's team. We had a number of estimates before going with Anjoe - they came in with a very competitive price but with professionalism that can be hard to find. My advice: if you need to have this kind of work done, at least call Joe to get an estimate. It may save you lots of money and headaches. read more

Several weeks ago they were at my neighbors across the street working, when i got home i noticed two large tire tracks 3 inch deep tire tracks on my front lawn. When i got home from work i realized what happened they drove their large tree truck over my front lawn. they were starting to leave as i approached two guys were getting in their pickup truck, i said i need to speak to you, as i approached them in truck they sped off ( Like a couple of little School Girls) almost ran my foot over. The owner showed up an hour later i explained what happened and said they were idiots for driving on my lawn. A week later two guys showed up and put down topsoil and a cheap commercial grade grass seed. I have a special lawn ( Zoysia Grass) needless to say they ruined my front lawn. I would not recommend they Have no Respect for Neighboring Property. read more

I was worried about a few pine trees, and was expecting to spend thousands. Joe came out and said they were fine. Thank you. Rick.

cut my trees down as contracted but left a disgusting mess (mud and tree debris) plastered all over my house and walk. I told them and showed pics...no response; can NOT recommend read more

Excellent! Have had tree companies before, but now they will be my only tree company. Not sure why anyone would give them less than a 5 start trading. Fee was very reasonable. The crew was awesome. On time. Actually left the yard cleaner than it was before they came. Crew was hard working and very friendly. I will recommend them to everyone. Thanks Joe and crew! read more

We called them on the Wednesday before Memorial Day. The owner of the business expounded on how great they are & how reliable they are. We asked for someone to come to our house to give us an estimate on removing two trees. The owner said he would be in our neighborhood on Friday afternoon (just before Memorial Day) & he would stop by to give us an estimate. We are still waiting & today is 7/5. Don't waste your time on them. read more

We just had 5 very large white pines taken down by Anjoe Tree Service. One was actually leaning against our house. A six man team arrived on time and worked nonstop until the job was done. They were very efficient and professional. They protected our driveway when they brought in the huge crane. They cleaned up all the sticks and branches. Best of all we thought the fee we were charged was extremely reasonable. I would recommend them to anyone who has need of a tree service read more

I was looking for someone to trim a tree that overhangs my property, so I called Anjoe. I called on a Thursday afternoon and left a message. On Saturday, I received a call back, but I unfortunately missed the call. Because their stated business hours are Mon-Fri, I waited until Monday morning, and returned the call. It's been almost two weeks from my initial call, and I haven't received any additional communication. read more

The actual tree removal work is fine. Absolutely no complaints. The company severing two underground lines during removal and refusing to contact any utilities or take any responsibility about the incident is not fine. The company trucks and trailers blocking the driveways of several neighbors, and the owner delaying when asked by returning neighbor to move and allow her into her own driveway, is not fine. In fact it is illegal in this city, which the owner should know (and does know, in fact.) Being approached to an in-your-face I-want-to-intimidate-you distance of inches by the large alpha male owner yelling "you f-ing b****" several times (after he was asked to take responsibility for said severed wires) is not fine. Being cursed out for taking pictures of the cut wires is not fine. Roaring off in a truck leaving employees to clean up the mess and deal with the matter of the wires (which no one did, can't blame them really) yelling "I hope I never see this street again" is likewise not fine. Though I can reassure the owner, if we have anything to do with it, that wish will come true. Good tree work, but the owner seriously needs an anger management intervention. I would seriously not recommend that any woman schedule work with this company if there's any chance you'll be dealing with this guy alone. The employees are courteous and embarrassed by the boss' antics, but that won't help if he ever went any further than just very unprofessional and inappropriate yelling of obscenities and attempts at physical intimidation. read more

They are the best and safest for tree removal. A large silver maple was taken down from our backyard on a sunny 25 degree winter day. The crew is so efficient. Absolutely the best tree climber! I highly recommend this company if you want the job done right, reasonably priced and safety is a priority. read more

For some strange reason I thought tree removal would cost millions of dollars....luckily I was utterly deluded. Joe (i think that's his name - if it isn't that is what I will be calling him for the rest of this review) and his team did quite the job. About 19 trees and overgrown bushes for 2k. So Joe is quite the personality - a bit intense but he knows what he is doing. Within 45 minutes of getting to our place Anjoe's guys had already taken down 3 trees. I have to say I was impressed and got a tad too into watching the process - I wish I could've helped out but then I felt too much like Saruman and started to feel guilty. Joe and his team gave us an opportunity to start fresh and we are very happy! I really only wish they left a pile of mulch as I had asked them to. read more

I've just started working with Joe with some upcoming projects. When he says he will do something, I have learned that I can trust it will be done. He has proven to be direct, honest, and driven. what a rude person! I attempted to contact them to get some trees trimmed. First time I called, I was told I'm watching football, call back. Second time, I left a message and received a gruff call back stating they need the address and for me to call back. I called back again and was told "I'm eating lunch, call back". Now, I'll call someone who cares. read more

I would highly recommend Anjoe Tree Service...they are efficient, safe, and professional. Joe gave a fast and competitive estimate to remove 5 trees, and the job was complete within 1 week. I posted a bad review without giving Anjoe Tree Service a fair chance. We thought Joe was not coming because the promised arrival time had passed. JOE DID SHOW UP AND GAVE A VERY FAIR ESTIMATE to remove 2 trees. It was a Sat and he was a little late because he had to drop off grandchildren to a party (that he was also attending) and he came back to our home for the estimate. He was a great guy and we are going to go with Anjoe for removal. read more

Can I add more stars? We had a couple of HUGE trees removed by Anjoes and I figured I would have a huge cleanup job waiting for me when I got home. Holy cow! It looked as if the trees had never been there. These guys are pros and really know what they are doing. They had the best "estimate"and were priced very reasonably. Anjoe tree service did a very professional job removing a fallen pine tree and 3 other huge pine trees from my property. They returned my phone call promptly and showed up on time. can't say anything about his work because he won't get back to me. I've been trying to contact him since August 1. Bad customer service.

Amazing work! Anjoe Tree service came highly recommend from a friend of ours who has used Anjoe Tree several times. We had two stumps removed, cleaned it up with a beautiful layer of top soil. I had Anjoe remove 4 pine trees last week. Two were upwards of 24" diameter within 15' of my house; the others were closer to 16" and within 5' of my house. This crew of 4 performed flawlessly. They've got an efficient, safe, process - there's no surprises, never a close call - these guys really take pride in their execution. As far as price, if you have reasonable expectations from the start, Anjoe will pleasantly surprise you. Their equipment is expensive to buy and maintain, it allows them to work as efficiently and safely as they do, and I think their rates are quite modest for what they bring to the table. It's a no-nonsense business, they offer absolute clarity in quotes before they start work, and at least for me, they left my yard looking as clean as it did before they arrived. read more

**UPDATE** Joe/Anjoe is now sending me threatening voicemails. He stated I better have a good lawyer because he is meeting with his lawyer this morning and will sue me for liable regarding my "disgusting" review. He said I have a small life and have nothing better to do than to harass him. He's the one who has left two recorded voicemails for me...so who is harassing who?? Again, be cautious doing business with this person. I found Anjoe online and on 8/9/19 we talked by phone and we agreed on $200 for one tree and an extra $50 for the stump/roots, but I would have to "wait a few weeks." I followed up on 9/14/19, since I hadn't heard from him, and he stated that he "didn't remember the job" and would have to "come back and look at it" and "didn't remember what he had quoted me." I told him the price quote and he said to send him a text with my address and he would come by and look again. I followed up with him several times via text over the next week about coming to see the project and on 9/24/19 he responded that he would come by the next day. To make it worth his while I also asked for a quote for another similar sized tree to be removed. He calls me today 9/25/19 and tells me $800 for both trees. When I asked what the break down of the cost was because the one tree was $250 and how did we get to $800....he yelled at me that "this is what the price is and if you don't like it then to go somewhere else." When I commented that this was not a professional attitude he stated "I am very professional, 32 years professional, and I am so professional that I will not do business with you" and hung up the phone. Later on that afternoon I sent a text saying that I was sorry he had a bad day and was sorry that my question was offensive to him but I needed to understand the cost, and, would he still consider doing the job for me?.....he texted me back "no." If you are thinking of doing business with this man/business then please, think again. Regards----- read more
