D&L just removed a huge tree from my yard. The job required a crane, which is subcontracted to D&B Crane. I cant say enough positive things about both. They were friendly, professional and absolutely amazing at what they do. The tree needed to be removed in many sections. I live in the. village of Scotia, so maneuvering the crane was no easy tasks with houses close together. This past windstorm in Niskayuna took a couple trees down. One landed on my garage, back garage leaving a huge hole on top of the garage roof. Joe came out the next day giving me an estimate, 2 days later he and his crew removed the trees and debris. Most importantly the tree on top of my garage. They also removed old tree stumps that were in a huge pile from other trees that had fallen down. Although they had some truck problems, some of the stumps did sit outside for a week. It happens and I felt horrible for the office girl as one customer was pretty abusive to her. So unfortunate when this company is out there busting their backs for us not to mention their affordable rates and honesty. I contacted D & L on Mother's Day because a huge tree had fallen from my back yard, had split in half, and it fell between my house and my neighbor's house. It was a very dangerous situation because my gas meter and lines were right on that side. I had contacted 3 different companies that morning...they were the only ones to call me back. Actually, the other two never called me back at all. This was an emergency situation. Joe came over, accessed the situation, realized it was indeed an emergency, and had his crews here in less than 2 hours. They did such a great job taking down the tree, and the cleanup afterward was amazing. They were referred to me by my neighbor, and I would recommend them to anyone who may need trees removed. read more

A crew came to remove a tree. Very unprofessional, no ppe to be found, no flagger for oncoming traffic. The log truck was loading logs on the side of the road dangling logs over the road without anyone stopping traffic. Other crew members not paying attention. Very unprofessional business I would highly look elsewhere. read more

Be sure they service your area, and that you do not live too far away. Called to have 3 trees trimmed and topped. Was told that they do not service Duanesburg, but from past reviews see that they DO service Delanson, which is further away. May want to consider updating their website, as it shows a huge radius of coverage. read more

D&L tree service removed 3 large trees from my yard. Price was reasonable and removal went well. I choose this services because I like to give my business to the local businesses. The problem is they left my sidewalk filled with very large logs. The tree removal was done on January 10th. I was told they would be back to pick up the logs and grind the stumps. It is now January 22nd and they have not been back. I left 3 messages with Jen in the office and she will not respond. I contacted the man who came out for the quote "Doug" and he said they should have picked it up the next day and he would look into it, but the logs still sit!!! Unfortunately they were paid in full which included the log removal and stump grinding! I can not get them to give me a date for the stump grinding either...I think a letter to the Business Bureu is needed now. I do not recommend this service!! I am very dissatisfied and will be using a different tree service in the future. NOTHING MORE FRUSTRATING THAN BEING IGNORED BY A BUISNESS!!!! read more

If you ever have to have a tree removed - these are your guys. They showed up when they said they would (which is sometimes half the battle!) The tree I needed to have removed was literally 2 inches from my house and it was about 150 years old so you could imagine how difficult this project could have been. They made it seem easy and were very cautious around my house. They made sure the siding and windows were well protected. After the job was done, you wouldn't even know they were here. I had a HORRIBLE experience with this company. They made an appointment to cut down 2 trees, they didn't show up at their scheduled appointment. They finally showed up 3 weeks later. When they cut down the tree that was in between my house and my neighbors house, it fell and hit my house denting part of our gutter then fell the other direction hitting the side of my neighbors house. One of the men that cut the tree said when the come back to pick up the trees they cut down that they would bring someone to look at the damage. They even went over to speak to my neighbor regarding the tree hitting their house and needing to go on their property to pick up branches. Once again, no one showed up like they said they would. We called this company numerous times, leaving messages for a return call regarding this matter. No one called back until I told them I would be showing up at their business with the police to file a report. I do intended to pursue this matter with the better business bureau. I would never recommend this company to anyone!!!!!!!!!!! Very poor business!!! read more
