Ice cream was good. But price was a bit on the higher side. Unfortunately they didn't not have milkshakes when i went in. Didnt say why.

What this does is evenly distribute the toppings throughout the ice cream AND make the ice cream itself stretchy and smooth. It creates a really good mouthfeel when eating. My go-to is their birthday cake ice cream (it's very sweet but I promise it's nothing crazy! It's a nice rich subtle flavor.), with cookie dough and m&ms. I always love it. Sometimes, depending on the worker, they'll skimp on the toppings, but if you ask for a little more they're good about it. GO for whatever flavors/combos you think you'll like, it's pretty impossible to screw up!!

There is a smell so putrid and foul inside that we ate our ice cream and cookies outside in the rain. Initially I gave them the benefit of the doubt, thinking they were just having plumbing issues, but I see this smell is mentioned in reviews going back at least a year. Every inch of this store smells like sewage but also an animal shelter. I am truly perplexed how they are passing inspections. On top of that, the prices are incredibly steep. My friends each paid $8 for their small cup of ice cream. You can get designer ice cream (Jeni's) for less! Some reviews mentioned bad service, but the employees were kind to us and we had no issues with them.

Serving a diverse menu of American classics from old-fashioned hamburgers and hot dogs to creative dairy treats, Bobbie's has been in business since 1951. In fact, known as Harper's Dairy Dip until 1986, this is the third oldest eatery on one of America's longest roads (Highway 70) in continuous operation (fourth oldest overall). The good thing is that you'll enjoy your experience, there is plenty of outdoor seating, and the service is always excellent. Employees stay positive and relaxed despite the stress of growing lines and constant orders coming in. The downsides include long lines, notoriously impossible parking, and average food. Even the soft serve ice cream isn't good, and that's difficult to mess up. I ordered a Heath Swirlie over the weekend, and I could barely find any toffee. And the soft serve just wasn't good. The hamburger was equally mediocre, harkening back to a simpler time but not something that would wow you in any way. Go here for the history and to keep them going, not for high-quality food.

Being that it is a…read moresummertime staple, that doesn't necessarily mean that the product is as wonderful as one would hope that had kept it in business for all these years. They offer burgers, malts, fries, shakes, splits, and ice cream itself. The menu is extensive, but despite its bragging rights of an extensive menu, a lot of it doesn't taste like it has variety. For example, I will order their Memphis Mafia. It includes peanut butter, ice cream, and bacon. Sounds delicious, right? They are cheap on giving you chunks of bacon, the vanilla ice cream is all you can taste, and the peanut butter flavor is miniscule. It is basically vanilla ice cream with limited flavor profiles of the other ingredients, which sucks because it should taste really good! The idea is there, but the flavor profile is not. You can't go wrong with the basics if that is what you seek. If you want a vanilla shake, they have you covered. As far as getting creative, I would go elsewhere. It just isn't worth the try knowing ahead of time that they're stingy on giving you more flavor for what you pay for! What is good, you ask? The burgers are good and the fries are most of the time. Sometimes, the fries are overly seasoned and that can turn some people off. I usually appreciate it because I like sweet and salty. Sticking a fry in ice cream isn't uncommon for me to do, but you're also hearing this from someone who puts ranch on her pizza. Parking is a nightmare. You're basically asking for your death wish if you park in front of the establishment and have to back out into traffic on Charlotte. If you don't want this problem, park on the side of the building on the street. You won't have to stress about Charlotte by making this choice, but parking might be limited. Seating is outside. It is covered with park benches. Don't have expectations for the bathroom. Again, it's an old joint and people come here for nostalgic purposes. It's a good place to bring your family for a no frizzles ice cream place.

Jeni, Jeni, who can I turn to?…read more Listen, I was in Nashville for the week and I was here every night. Why? Is it because Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams is using Direct Trade ingredients? Nah. I just liked their ice cream flavors. First time ever at Jeni's, I had the Bramble Berry Crisp Ice cream in a homemade waffle cone. Jeni created an Oven-toasted oat streusel with a sweet-tart brambleberry jam and layered it throughout vanilla ice cream. The final result? That's some mit-T-fine ice cream, one might say (pinkie to lip, splendid?) The next night I zeroed in on the Salted Peanut Butter with Chocolate Flecks. Jeni made this ice cream gem with fresh, salted roasted peanuts and chips of rich Belgian dark chocolate flecks. The end result? Jeni, I think I want to marry you. Creamy, dreams peanut butter ice cream stuffed into a warm waffle cone. I see Jeni's ice cream pints in the supermarket. It may be good but gimme a fresh scoop of this delicious ice cream. Service was quick and efficient. One zap of Apple Pay on my phone and I was on my way. Jeni? Call me and bring some pints, 867-5309

One of the employees gave us a quick blurb on the candy factory's history: It's a family business of many decades dedicated to handcrafting a diverse range of Southern sweets and delicacies. The founder is Stan, aka "The Candy Man." Aside from the wall-to-wall and candy dispensers, SCK also offers Gourmet Popcorn, Pralines, Divinity, Cakes/Pies, and various gift ideas. I walked away with bags of some of my favorites - Hot Tamales, other Mike & Ike's flavors, Sweet Tarts, and Cherry Sour Balls & Jelly Beans. It was cool to watch the gourmet popcorn, chocolates, and candied apples being made. The sweet landmark you have to stop by when in Nashville. Just don't snack too much before dinner.
