My brother got a Tshirt and some socks and my husband bought a book. The staff was helpful. Freezing cold in there with the a/c blasting but I'm sure it would feel good later when it's warmer and when it's crowded. I mean a store dedicated to Harry Potter -- come on?!? And what I found wasn't some corporate, merch-filled spot but something that seemed to have grown out of the love the owner has for all things HP. This small shop includes photos and facts about the cast, mixed in with a fun assortment of items. In particular, I liked the Letter from Hogwarts wallet and items related to each of the Hogwarts houses. (This girl is a proud Ravenclaw, in case you were wondering). I ended up buying my kids plastic pens that look like quills. The owner was talking enthusiastically to all who entered, and when I told him that it was my birthday, he said he had something extra special for me and gave me my own, gold laminated train ticket from London to Hogwarts. I was thoroughly charmed by The Fairy Shop, even without the use of spells. ;-) A must-visit for any Harry Potter fans.

You can easily spend an entire day here looking at everything. Not a lot of places to sit, but there are a few chairs scattered about the space. Been to the Pru lately?…read more Impressed by the high-end retail shops and the not-too-shabby food court? Ever wondered if you were, perhaps, dreaming when you could swear you spotted a kiosk full of Russian nesting dolls right across from Lacoste? Your Ambien isn't working, darling. The Russians have invaded and they brought toys! A thousand or so sets of nesting dolls await your eager eyes, all handmade and uniquely designed, for what seems to be an affordable price (I am not too privy on the average cost for nesting dolls these days). Only problem is, I have never once seen an actual customer buy anything. I am sure that many do - else this little kiosk would likely be replaced by yet again another kiosk that sells "Boston gear" - so come out, come out, wherever you are!
