Is it the best, or the cheapest board game store in the city? No. But, is it a great board game store, with very good prices, that almost anywhere else would be the number one destination? I'd say yes. If you like the hobby, by all means, come on in. They actually received shipment of some new titles before any other stores in the city had them, which is incredible. It means getting them on the table those few days earlier, and in the world of board gaming that can make a pretty big difference. It's a nice place to walk around. And you might even overhear the staff talking about how they can't tell time. And then talking about how silly it is that the others can't tell time. All you have to do is say what number the big hand is at, for the hour, and the small hand for the minutes. And then another staff talking about how that's not right at all. It's cute. It's quirky. Recommended.

Expect figures stacked to the ceiling and very narrow isles it is very evident that this is a mostly online distributor. You would be wise to look at their stock online and do in store pick-up, the capacity of the store is very small like it's rough to have more than 5 customers browsing. There's a phone # on the door to call to be let inside. Which is pretty reasonable considering the amount of expensive merchandise and small capacity. Employees are very helpful! Since there's so many figures nothing is physically priced so you will probably end up using your phone to reference their website the whole time you are there. So if you're planning a trip check their stock online first! From what I saw the inventory is accurate and you will have a easier time knowing what you want already. Pricing is mostly retail sometimes a little inflated but considering you are in Canada and won't have to pay international shipping you can get some pretty good deals on rare and high demand figures. Also they have a fee membership program that gives you a nice % off. They also have a pretty big selection of gatcha and other anime merch which was a nice surprise ^^

The word mart is well chosen - if the aisles were wider trolleys would be the order of the day - think a cross between Whole Foods and Home Depot for gamers. The rear of the store is dedicated to board games ordered a-z with a vast selection. Paints and model supplies are broad with all major brands represented - normally I see in a store 1-2 brands - here it's half a dozen, guaranteeing pretty much any hue you are looking for. The staff are friendly and know where things are - after a while it just becomes easier to ask for help as it can be overwhelming. Great fun.

They also regularly hold events which many dedicated people come out to attend. I wholeheartedly reccomend Dolly's for a great time.

Admittedly, it's okay to kill time in, if you don't mind having to root around like a truffle hunting hog, but it manages to combine strange selection (I found a bunch of Tron action figures) with strangely high prices. You might find a good value, or something. It violates pretty much every rule of retail in terms of organization and presentation, being more like a massive single retailer basement rummage sale. It's a shame, since the downtown store has been improving and the junction store is a good venue. I guess this is the picture in the attic.

Great board game store to visit with a date or group of friends…read more Came here in person at rush hour to pick up a game, as I didn't want to pay for shipping online. It's located in Richmond Hill in the business/warehouse district off a windy road called West Beaver Creek. The address is easy to find, lots of free plaza parking, it's next to a kids dance studio and very visible store sign. Nothing sus like another yelper stated. Inside is very spacious, clean and bright. I love how organised the shelving for new games were laid out and they even more games in back. Off the walk in, I was greeted immediately and four employees were excited to help me. They are game experts and could name off suggestions for games quickly, to pair with similar games I had in mind. Super fun to nerd off in the board game world here! I always cross reference with boardgamegeek.com first when planning to new purchases, but asked them in person to see if opinions lined up. I was impressed one employee was quick to suggest ones I never heard of. Prices are good to fair. I felt no pressure to buy anything there, they even offered if I wanted to test ones that they have opened or to get a feel of the pieces(card game quality for kid durability is real). I left with buying three games I had eyed online, and excited for the suggestions for the next visit. They have a free loyalty program, can't hurt to sign up when you're a board game investor, as this is one place to bookmark. No food or cafe noticed here, unlike other board game places. Maybe one day as they are still new.

I picked up a latter collaboration which I had not yet seen in the States. Heroes world is a little off the beaten path, it isn't located in one of the busier strip malls but it's close enough. Staff, especially the owner was really friendly and helpful. They can ship your items too if you live in Canada.

This is not my cup of tea (unless they sold a wider variety of pompurin stuff hehe). Overall pricing felt expensive but maybe I'm just missing something. For example, with the gacha machine, $10 for 10 tokens. Typically really small keychains and toys require 5 tokens. It's the thrill, yet doesn't give me a !! HAVE TO BUY !! thrill, but more like, why should I take that chance? Similarly, $20 for a blind box. I personally don't get it, but I'm sure it's exciting & fun for lots of other people. There's staff available & centralized at a counter with a larger display case to help out, but not actively going around the store. I would recommend people who are interested in this sort of stuff check this place out, but I personally wouldn't be coming back.
