Jones claimed that he was a "Doctor", and even made up a childish Yellow Pages ad making that claim, and implying that you will receive head high stacked boxes of benefits from him. Be clear, Tim Jones was NEVER a "Doctor", and likely has not received such a degree any time since! 2024. the impersonator is gone, and was replaced by Dr. Lucia Story, Au.D., a real doctor, and a very kind, and understanding, human being. I can't say enough about this person, and business. The imposter is said to have NO connection with SJHC, so you can go there with confidence.

His office team members help schedule me as a new patient quickly & in my time frame for my benefits for insurance. I was greeted at the door professionally & given all my benefits upfront prior to seeing the doctor . Dr. Jones was professional & easy to work with during all of my appointments . I highly recommend this office in Farmington & Durango - Excited to have a doctor on my side . Many other places can be "creative" about the way things can be billed to your insurance - be careful out there . Call Dr. Jones for your next visit .... I know you will not be disappointed ! We have been patients of Dr Dan and Karassa since before they moved to Durango and opened up their…read moreown practice. For us, it is worth the 45 minute drive to see them for our health issues. Both of them are wonderful people and they care about each individual of every family they treat. These are truly caring medical people and each time we visit, we dont feel like just a number but part of a bigger family. The have their own pharmacy in house where you can buy discount perscriptions. All of the staff is very welcoming as well. They have a unique inexpensive flat fee per month per person with family discounts versus typical insurance which they dont accept. We HIGHLY recommend this medical practice.

I am sharing this experience so other patients are aware of a serious issue with insurance…read moreverification and billing. When I first visited in February, I specifically asked the front desk to confirm whether my BCBS insurance was accepted. They checked and assured me that it was. Based on that assurance, I proceeded with care. BCBS later denied the claim and directed me to an internal medicine group located just a few miles away. When I contacted the office, I was initially told that my co-pay was sufficient and that no additional payment would be required. In March, that position was reversed, and I was billed approximately $780 for two visits. I am now paying this balance in installments. I have since transferred my care to the internal medicine physicians recommended by BCBS. While BCBS can be inconsistent, patients should not bear the financial consequences of incorrect information provided by a medical office. Verifying insurance is a basic and critical responsibility. In this case, it was handled incorrectly--twice. I would strongly advise other patients to independently confirm their coverage with their insurance provider before receiving care here. The practice should take immediate steps to improve staff training and insurance verification procedures to prevent this from happening to others.

Seen two different drs at this location. The drs themselves are professional and good…read more Front desk however is less than satisfactory. There's 3-6 people at the front desk but when you call their office it usually takes 2-5 calls to get in touch to schedule.
