It's hard to travel with a stroller on the farm but being that I was by myself, it would've been impossible for me without it. However the staff on the farm were extremely helpful and kind. One of the tractor drivers was kind enough to explain to me what was offered on the farm. We took the tractor down to where all the activities were. It was simple with some animals and a huge box full of corn for the kids to play in. And they played for hours! There was food too but we didn't end up getting anything, even a coffee truck which is a nice touch for parents as they watch their kids play in the corn. Then the tractor takes everyone down to the pumpkin patch where you choose your own. It's a great thing to do with the kids in the fall!

But in northern Virginia folks seem to think this is an amazing county stop. They have lots of animals- goats, chickens, pigs, other fowl etc in nice pens along the property. A massive collection of over priced outdoor adrenal chairs, indoor food market and ice cream, oils and natural remedies, cards and gifts, kids toys, large candy section and dairy and meat products. Produce section was very small. It's a good collection but definitely not the Amish/ Mennonite groceries of the Midwest! It still has the nice rustic feeling and the barn like exterior and interior for a good country feeling!

I really like how big the park is and that they have an Italian and Japanese specific garden within. This park has so much, from animals to waterfalls, and would be great for photos. It's so easy to find peace here and spend time even just sitting and relaxing. It's the perfect spot for families or to take a date, so you can really have a nice time with anyone. I highly suggest stopping in and getting some zen time.

In April I booked a corporate box for Rock Rewind Fest being held in July…read more A representative from the company handling event bookings here, showed me the exact box in person and promised it would be held for me. Then came two and a half months of being ignored -- unreturned texts, unreturned calls, a voicemail box too full to even leave a message. When I finally got an answer, I learned my box had been given away to someone else, with zero warning. I sent the farm a detailed written complaint directly to their own email addresses, specifically asking for a written response. Silence, until I escalated hard enough to force a reply. When a response finally came, it was from the same person who had been stringing me along for two months. I was offered a different box, much further from the stage at a higher rate. When I finally said forget it, I did get an email back that was NOT an apology, but rather corporate speak regretting that my "expectations" weren't met by the "team." The team being the one guy who hoped I would just go away and not press the issue. I was also told my emails had been passed along to the owner. Nothing. No response at all from the person who actually owns this business. I was genuinely excited to see this artist. This business took what could have been an amazing experience and ruined my excitement and left me disappointed. They tried my patience and didn't care about me as a customer.

It's a good thing we decided to get there when they open because when we left around 1130, the line was very, very long! We got in line for donuts. They were pretty ready. I was put off by a female employee who was smoking while working. She lit it up after walking out of a door nearby. She had the cigarette in the palm of her hand holding it with her pointer finger and thumb. That was not cool in my book. We waited in line for a wagon to take us to the pumpkin field. We waited not too long for that. While waiting so walked into the nursery area to look at all the flowers... mostly mums. Pricing was fairly reasonable. We finally got on the wagon. It was actually a pretty good ride to the field. We were dropped off and have free reign of the field. We could stay as long as we would like. Then we take a wagon back when we were ready. There was some confusion or lack of communication on how picking and paying for pumpkins went. We thought we would pay by weight and not the whole, "pay a set rate for as many as you can hold while taking 3 steps." A staff member was very kind to us when we returned. We were about to go back out and get more pumpkins to make it worth our trip. There was also confusion on entering the kids play area. We had tickets online, but did not realize we needed to go I see the gift shop to get the wrist bands. The ground in that area where the inflatables were, was really hard in the feet if you took your shoes off in order to play on/in the inflatables. We ended up telling our kids to keep their shoes in to avoid an injury's. For us, this was a one and done.
