Wilton Manors

An Extraordinary Display of Compassion in a World Where Such Virtues Are Increasingly Rare…read more It is not often that one encounters individuals whose professional excellence is matched so splendidly by the nobility of their character. Wilton Manors Animal Hospital has demonstrated precisely that rare distinction. My beloved English bulldog, Rupert, a distinguished gentleman of ten years whose stubborn disposition is rivalled only by his considerable charm, faced a rather formidable adversary in the shape of a tumour. What followed was an extraordinary demonstration of compassion, integrity, and veterinary dedication. At a time when uncertainty weighed heavily upon me, I encountered a level of humanity that transcended the ordinary obligations of the profession. There are those who practise veterinary medicine as an occupation, and then there are those who regard the preservation of life as a solemn calling. The distinction, I assure you, is unmistakable. Because of the exceptional care Rupert received, my old gentleman has been granted something beyond measure: more time to enjoy the simple pleasures of life, presumably while continuing to behave as though he owns the entire household. Were compassion a title of nobility, these fine people would surely occupy the highest seats in the House of Lords. Five stars seem an almost comically inadequate tribute. My gratitude, however, is without reservation.

He said they didn't have the notes of his previous script. Fine, so I showed him the picture of the bottle that said "Tucker (dog)". And I showed him the automated visit notes that you get emailed to a visit showing that he's on trazodone. Makes sense, right? But not for Rashad. He said by showing him this proof that my dog was in these medicines I was being extremely condescending? What am I supposed to do, accept the fact that they didn't have it? He then said we need a doctor visit with the dog. I said why? It's not like dementia gets better. He replies "sir, I'm a certified medical professional" or something? Okay? Just because he woke up in the wrong side of the bed this morning doesn't have to make it any more stressful for someone dealing with a dementia dog. I waited an hour and never complained once. Marla (I think) was extremely nice at the receptionist and so was the doctor. This guy is one of those people that seems to take everything personal I guess. All I did was show the pill bottles and the visit summary!

Thank God I found this place bc I was quoted $5k-8k+ for dental surgeries near me with 3 week long+ wait times when it was VERY affordable for the same exact services at this clinic. I was able to book an in-take appointment immediately for two days out on their website with no fee. SUPER convenient. They did the initial exam for my small dog, bloodwork, and some other things to prepare for her surgery which is booked next week! They were extremely helpful when explaining all of the information I needed on my dog's procedures and payment options, and the doctor and tech shared info on insurance options which I do already have luckily. They even had a promotion going on for a free Rabies vaccine which I needed! I would come to this clinic for anything. They have a $20/month plan to bring your pets in for unlimited exams which I would absolutely do if I lived here. The doctor and tech that helped us both seemed very knowledgeable, kind, and caring. Unfortunately, I forgot their names, but I really, really appreciate this office and thank you to Shanice at the front who was also very hospitable!!!

My male cat Kona had urinary blockage. As he's my first male cat, I had no idea what to do but I…read moreknew it could be deadly so I got him to VEG right away. They got us into a treatment room, went over a few less invasive options but while none of that worked, he got pain meds and they cleared the blockage under a light anesthesia. I was surprised he had to stay for 48 hours, but they explained why it was important. He got a recovery cage in a quiet cat room and I was able to visit a couple times a day till he was ready to go home. The vets and nurses were all helpful in answering my questions. Kona has been home for 3 weeks now and doing great on a new diet and a fancy new water fountain. For anyone who goes there with their pet, here's a few details I can share: There is plenty of parking there. They have a lot of patients and some are in more dire situations than your pet and I think they do their best to triage who needs what and when. Due to that, there's times when you may have to wait a bit to get someone to come over and answer a question. They have a little area with coffee and drinks. They have a few rooms with couch beds in case you need to sleepover with your fur baby. They even have blankets for humans. They can text you and call you 24/7. Sometimes you have to wait for a Dr to get on the phone but as I said, some patients are in more urgent need. Once Kona was stable, I did my best to respect that. If your baby has to stay overnight, the staff does visit and give them attention to check on everything periodically, they are not just left in the cage. They will send discharge documents to you and your regular vet. I have been there before with both my cats when they had diarrhea for too long and got dehydrated. It was a much less dire situation then, but that was a positive experience too.

And my 90 lb rotti loves visiting all the staff! Definitely staying with them

DO NOT TAKE YOUR DOG HERE!! 8/16/26 My Clover went to labor…read moreon Saturday NO thanks to Dr Jones and her medical expertise decision not to have the cesarean on Thursday when I took Clover with pre labor symptoms. But HEY she is the veterinarian and she knows best right???? WHO AM I TO QUESTION HER. Well be prepared the partner emergency Veterinary Clinic charges for Clover cesarean section was unbelievable $7800, in addition to $589. For blood tests and X-rays . The price was unbelievable unreasonable affordable, we are talking about over, $9,000k, we are talking about a price range of $3900 with veterinary Dc Jones to partner emergency clinic of $9,000K we taking about double the cos. I walked out of the partner emergency clinic with Clover (French Bulldog) Thinking that my precious dog was going to die at home with me. This was an error that was unacceptable, unforgivable from a Veterinary Doctor that is an "expert" in reproduction and care so much for animals. I had been to every appointment, I did all the tests to make sure Clover health was outstanding and the puppies too. Not taking the necessary steps to plan accordingly the cesarean sections to avoid it happening during the weekend especially when the I the owner pointed out to doctor Jones all the symptoms that my dog was having since Wednesday and Thursday (temperature dropped, not eating, nesting, scratching unstoppable) it's was negligent from a veterinary that new the risk of waiting to the next week. Clover temperature never dropped to 98 as she said that clover temperature needs to be her temperature was always 99.4 that was the lowest it dropped. Thank Goodness my daughter found some other emergency vet clinics that had a concussion mind and did care for their 4 legged patients and took Clover Immediately. The puppies were in distress because they were already passed their time to be born and the emergency cesarean section was done. Again it's unfortunate that a veterinary that is supposed to be an expert in REPRODUCTIVE VETERINARY was there but her brain and knowledge was not there to make the correct decisions at the time needed. Doctor Jones mind was in her vacation trip that is supposed to be in September and we still in August, so many times she asked her staff is she is going to be here or not for the cesarean? If she is so anxious about leaving on vacation she needs to RETIRE COMPLETELY her bad decisions almost KILLED MY DOG, or she just simply doesn't care for her 4 legged patients and only the money. Ingrid Mangual Clovers mother note: I found another emeregency clinic and their price was as affordable as doctors Jones 2nd quote and included the spayed

Please read this entire review if you truly love your pets…read more Writing this is one of the hardest things my family has ever had to do. We brought our beloved sphynx cat, Gary, and our toy poodle into this clinic expecting compassion, professionalism, and care. Instead, we left devastated and questioning everything that happened inside those walls. From the moment the doctor walked in, something felt off. He talked fast, barely listened, constantly interrupted us, and gave off more of a salesman vibe than someone genuinely concerned about our animals. We tried explaining what had been happening at home with Gary, but it felt rushed and ignored. Our poodle was first diagnosed with a UTI and immediately given antibiotics and a B12 shot BEFORE the test results even came back. Later, the test showed she did NOT have a UTI. So why were medications already pushed before confirming anything? On top of that, they tried telling us vaccines were overdue until we asked them to double check their own records... and suddenly they realized the shots had already been done. But nothing compares to what happened to Gary. We brought our baby boy in alive, alert, and stable. He brought Gary in the back and said he wanted to sedate him for an X Ray after the sedation took place The doctor literally told us Gary looked stable and could have another 2-4 years with proper checkups. They brought Gary to us as he was waking up . Minutes later, everything turned into a nightmare. Gary suddenly began panicking and thrashing uncontrollably. A nurse rushed him away while yelling for the doctor. Moments later we were asked if they could perform CPR. Of course we said yes -- he was family to us. Then the doctor came back and simply said: "I'm sorry... your cat died." Our entire family was shattered. And while we were still standing there in complete shock and grief, they started discussing the bill. Then we noticed something that made the entire situation even more disturbing: They charged us for CPR. Think about that for a second. So if we didn't approve the charge, what was the alternative? Just let him die? To us, this experience felt cold, transactional, rushed, and completely centered around money instead of care. We walked in with a cat expecting answers and walked out carrying heartbreak we will never fully recover from. This is not some irrational emotional rant from a pet owner. This is a grieving family warning others to ask questions, slow things down, trust your instincts, and never ignore that gut feeling when something feels wrong. We trusted this clinic with a member of our family. We will regret that decision forever. 10000000% please be safe

I was immediately greeted, and they were greeted with poop. (Thanks Pablo, what a great first impression) They immediately cleaned it and even used it to get a stool test done. Dr. Marlan is AMAZING, she is sweet, she is understanding. What I love most is that they work with Chewy, they dont push you to buy items you dont want to buy and work with you in knowing what works for your pet. They are a tab bit more expensive than others, HOWEVER, I think the price is 100% worth it. Also, I've never spent more than an hour here. In and out quickly is probably the biggest plus for me.

That is...until I started getting booked with Dr. Rey. My cat has had a lot of allergy and health issues, so he really hates the vet. He takes a little more patience, some Gabapentin, and understanding. I've had many vets be able to examine him fine. Even Dr. Marlar told me that she didn't need my cat to be medicated to come in. But then again, she's obviously a cat person and cats can tell. Dr. Rey treated my cat with disdain. She told me to drug my cat twice before coming, something I've never been told to do. When I only gave him one dose (normal for him) she said "Why did you not drug him twice? I wrote it out for you...see? Right here??" In a nasty tone. I was embarrassed to be spoken to like a child like that. I'm a customer and loving cat parent trying to do my best. On another visit she told me "we can't check his vitals or weight, because he's being so nasty and I won't risk injury for my staff." Isn't it your job to put animals in distress at ease? Every time I I've gone here with Dr. Rey, I leave embarrassed and like IM in the wrong. I decided to stop coming here and went to Victoria park animal hospital. My cat was calm, cool, collected. He was wrapped in a calming pheromone blanket and they took everything slow with him. The way you HAVE to handle cats. Dr. Rey clearly doesn't have the patience for that. Last note, to add salt to the wound, when we were in between vets...they wouldn't approve my cat's prescription food until I called. Who denies prescription cat food when I've spent hundreds and hundreds of dollars there and they explicitly wrote "do not change his diet" in his records??? Not impressed at all and we've been to MANY vets over the course of time. If you're a cat owner, I recommend someplace else.
