All my adopted cats have been tied to CE, so this review is strictly about Spring 2026 vet services visit. Prices? Actually fair. Customer service? Dollar store concierge energy. Actually Dollar stores are better. This visit... the doctor was a hard no. Walked in, didn't introduce himself, immediately started handling my cat like we weren't even there. No warmth, no basic respect. When I asked questions, his responses were short, snide, and borderline accusatory. Just weird energy overall--like he didn't even want to be there and was lowkey annoyed he had to interact. Zero empathy. Not even the bare minimum "your pet might feel this after treatment" type of heads up. My cat was crying for hours after we got home and I was left guessing if that was normal. That's unacceptable. Honestly, if he could've just pretended to care for 2 minutes, I probably wouldn't even be writing this. Breakdown: 4 stars - pricing (the main reason I make the effort to come here) 2 stars - trying to get an appointment is unnecessarily hard Negative 4 stars - the actual vet experience felt like I stepped into the upside down Yeah... I have to agree with many reviewers. The place is ok, it's near by, cat friendly. But their customer service is horrible. I am taking mostly about front desk. They are rude and insensitive. Specially the young man in the front. Are you giving them any kind of training? You should since they work not only with cats, but also with people. One star only because the girls at the front desk were very nice. First time here, brought my cat for a checkup. My cat is a very calm, sweet natured, people friendly cat. Fast forward to the vet appointment. Three people plus me and my cat were crammed into the room. Instead of petting my cat or letting her sniff their hand, the idiot vet tech threw a towel over my cat, my cat panicked and peed on the table. I told the girl to take the towel off my cat. She did, but my cat was very upset. They then tried to shove my cat back into the carrier because she was meowing and hissing because of the towel incodent. My cat ended up not having an exam at all. My poor cat was traumatized AND I still was charged!! The entire time in the room was probably about three minutes. In addition to vet visit charge I was charged a " cleanup fee" for them scaring my pet . I feel like my cat was treated like shit. And this place wasted several hours of my day. My cat is still traumatized tonight. I would not recommend this place. It's very disappointing. Now I have to bring my cat somewhere else to get checked up. Because i'm not bringing her back here due to the incompetent staff. read more

There are angels on earth and it is these people. Cats Exclusive is a non profit in Margate on Atlantic Ave. that has been rescuing cats since 1979. They offer education and adoption services as well as low cost spay and neuter. South Florida is drowning in abandoned, feral, unfixed cats. It is so heartbreaking. We all need to do our part to try and fix the feral cat population. They are a spay and neuter provider of Broward County's Snip Program. You can get free vouchers for the program online. Feral cats can be trapped, neutered, and released, When the community supports Cats Exclusive they can rescue more cats. Please consider volunteering and donating supplies and money to them. They can really use the help. I am so appreciative to them for helping get four kittens my family found and nursed adopted in loving homes. Terrible experience. We brought our daughter there and they let her get acquainted with a kitten (Bandit), and the two of them hit it off, when we went to fill out an application they said they would only let us adopt Bandit if we adopted a second kitten. None of which was mentioned before we let our daughter spend time with the kitten. The volunteers supervisor was right there with her, and also didn't say anything until after my daughter formed a connection. To do these tactics on a child are disgusting. read more

My cats and I enjoyed our experience with Cats Exclusive. The only thing is you could be waiting awhile (we waited 20-30 minutes with an appointment so my kitties were in their crates for over 2 hours by the time we left out house and returned). One of our kittens were spayed and had some fluid build up afterwards in which the vet techs were happy to have me bring her back in to have it drained. The kitty was perfectly fine after. read more

My caregiver found a kitten under the hood of her car 5 years ago & brought him to me. I had him fixed at Cat's Exclusive for $70 and thought that reasonable. A few weeks ago a scrawny juvenile cat visited my backyard & my caregiver started feeding him. 2 weeks later I was able to bring into my house with my dog & other 2 cats. He needed to be altered so I made an appointment & was told it was now $100. My caregiver left him there & they said they will call between 1 & 3 to pick him up. At 11, I noticed there was a phone message though there was no showing of a missed call. The girl said my cat had a serious reaction to the anesthesia & the rest was cut off. I tried calling but they never answer phones there (although there were 4 persons at the front) You have to leave a message & they call back hours later. I made 6 calls & none were returned although I explained the circumstance. Around 11:30 a girl called & said the cat was alive & they reversed the anesthesia(?) but they had to give him fluids & Vitamin B12 & he can be picked up. If I want to bring him again they will note on his chart that he'll need a different type of anesthesia. My caregiver immediately went to get him & they charged $132.25 which included $30 for emergency administration. The emergency was caused by whoever was giving the anesthesia. I never was contacted by a veterinarian & his name was not included on the invoice. To add insult to injury I sent him on a beautiful blue towel in his carrier & he was returned on an old pillowcase. read more

I'm sure you did/do help a lot of cats and pets. It is why I found your services in the first place. We aren't a random visitor, you took care of both of our pets when we adopted them. We drove 2hrs from our new home to come see you that day, if I was slanted and determined to slam you in a review as you say, all of this effort seems very strange. We came to you because we trusted you to look after our concerns, and our pet. This isn't kitty day care or a trip to a restaurant. Your responsibility is to have clear, honest and consistent communication about our pets health, and deliver on services we pay for. In the past, Cats Exclusive has been "ok" in my book and definitely the most inexpensive place for pet care. But I took my "kids" in for their yearly shots. My one cat, was beautiful, as Sirus always is. But Remus....is "fiesty" and "aggressive". I was told to make arrangements to drop him off, they will sedate him, give him his shots, and then give him back. It took forever to get an appointment but we finally did, my husband dropped him off, they had him until the afternoon, my husband picked him up and asked if it was a one year or two year rabies shot and the lady told him "no shots were given." My husband, after $168, is PISSED. No yearly shot? That's the whole reason we dropped him off!!! At this point, I can not go back. I can not trust them with my cat. I can't believe the communication was so low that they didn't realize in their books the reason the cat was back was FOR YEARLY SHOTS! Incredible. My husband would like to drop him off, again, for yearly shots at no cost, but I just don't trust them. Yes, they are the least expensive vet care place for cats but no, not my family. Don't be deceived by the name "Cats Exclusive", they greet dogs too with open arms! When you walk in, you're immediately greeted warmly by staff, and you see rescue cats walking around greeting customers as well. We like that it's a rescue operation, in addition to a vet's office. We take our Welsh Terrier puppy there to see Dr. Bruce Zellmer (he's amazing!). Our family has been seeing Dr. Zellmer for at least 10-15 years with 5 different dogs and trust him extensively with our fur babies. Cats Exclusive is very experienced with no matter what your pet's medical issue is and is very affordable for medical procedures. This is a very busy place with an overwhelming burden to try to prevent animals from needlessly suffering or cure as many as they can. I want to take the time to say they do an awesome job! It's like a MASH unit with a big heart for animals! They have saved the lives of numerous animals- countless really. In many instances, they are the last hope some of these animals have. And they have an adoption center of some of the greatest little animals looking for forever homes. Maybe you can visit their adoption center and then tell some of your friends about it because there's also a shortage of really great homes for these little ones and never is an ending to the little ones needing help! Please spread the word. You have to understand is very busy so in case you think they're a bit abrupt or short it's their workload is off the scale! Maybe you can volunteer to help out? The veterinary services are top shelf and they are personally dedicated to helping the animals that come through their doors! Each animal matters to them. When I brought my cat in, the person who took her, barely let me explain what she needed to know about caring for my car for 5 days, and said the usual intake person wasn't there. She then took my girl inside, without asking me if I wanted a minute to say goodbye, and didn't give me a chance once she settled her in, to go and say goodbye. I told them I'd be back on Nov. 25th. I called around 10:30 am, on Friday, after thanksgiving, that I'd be there at 1:00pm to pick her up, and called again at 12:00pm, with no return call, and when I got to the facility, the whole place was shuttered up. I was scared, upset and furious, and finally someone came to the back door and said he was the son of the bookkeeper, not a cat technician, and that he couldn't give my cat to me, or let me see her. Saturday, when I picked her up, I was told it was posted everywhere they'd be closed Thanksgiving AND Friday, and was on the their voicemail. It wasn't posted anywhere!!! This is the worst run facility in Broward, and wouldn't trust boarding my cat there. I was upset, and they said, I said things to the young man on Friday, which were untrue, like "I hate you" which is absurd, I did say this is the worst run facility in the area! I've been going back to cats exclusive for about a year now , Went online to get the phone number for a friend and saw a few of these reviews and just had to make one myself. I was a client of cats exclusive years ago , but after never and I mean absolutely never getting a call back , a doctor that would make you wait almost two hours to get you into the room, and just poor management I had to switch vets. I heard that they had a new office manger and Doctors and decided to give it another chance and let me just say, best thing I could've done for me and my cats. The director lyn is an absolute delight , she is the reason I can provide treatment for my best friend despite my current circumstances. If you have been a client for awhile and haven't seen the drastic changes to the office then you don't understand what these people have to and are doing, which is amazing work. I can ACTUALLY get through to someone same day, the two Doctors they have are amazing , the techs and office staff are so sweet and they all genuinely care about the people and pets that come in. thank you Cats exclusive for all that you do I will continue to use you as my vet and recommend you to all my fellow cat parents. You pay for labs and no one calls with results, unless you call over ten times and leave multiple voicemails. If anything is time sensitive, just go somewhere else. I got my wonderful cat Benji here. They nursed him back to health because he was apparently found with a really bad eye condition. He can see thanks to them. They make sure that the cats go to proper homes and their fees are reasonable for adoption. They provided me some stuff to take home to get him started too. I would definitely recommend getting a kitty from this wonderful place. I also made a donation online for a valentines raffle they had and I won a basket with champagne in it! read more

I scheduled an appointment for my cat to get soft claws for her front paws. My first appointment was not put into the books so we rescheduled. Not a big deal. Went to the second appointment and they took the kitten to the back. Someone came out and asked me some general questions about the kitten's diet and overall health which I figured may be routine as it was her first time going there. When I went to check out the bill was $40 more than I was expecting. When I asked about the charge I was told it was for the medical exam. I did not schedule a medical exam and at no point prior to me checking out did anyone say anything about her getting a medical exam. I left the office feeling a bit like I was ripped off. I then called and left two messages on their answering machine but never got a return call. I was just planning on suggesting that if they require all new customers to get a medical exam, even for a grooming appointment, they should state that up front. What if a customer was not able to pay an additional $40 when leaving? However, since they never bothered to return my call, and as more time went by I decided to write my first ever yelp review. read more

I went to pick up medication at cats exclusive asked if I could have a different medication as I brought a cat in 2 weeks prior and the cat is no better. and the Person supposed executive director was so rude abrasive and confrontational. I have been a client for years and was never treated like this. There is an armed guard on-site now and I can see why as the Executive director behavior must have angered someone terribly. It does NOT getter better than this folks! The youngest of my brood had a loose fang (canine) and instead of panicking I called Lori who promptly fit me in. I dropped off my youngest in the morning, then picked him up in the afternoon. EVERTHING was explained from the procedure, to the prices - absolutely no nonsense. I felt like a celebrity VIP patient. Dr. G, Ellie and Lori are as GOOD as it gets. They care, excellent follow up and reasonable prices. Three extractions later my furchild was eating Trader Joes Cat tuna, as if nothing. Their prices are beyond reasonable - 50% less than was is generally quoted for a feline dental scaling, extraction etc. This was my second cat tooth issue within a few years and the service, prices and care are VERY consistent. Should you ever be in a position to adopt an adult cat, please consider this place. After a year of saying something is wrong with her mouth, and being told she just has tarter build up, 17-18 years old, she in fact has had oral cancer which could've been diagnosed a year ago if they had just done their job. If you get imaging here, they don't send your images to a radiologist; they just take a guess. My cat is now going to have to be put to sleep because the vet didn't care enough to be thorough and recommend a higher level of care to determine what issues there may be sooner. Now, she's got a tumor growing out of her jaw and there's nothing to be done. You'd expect more from a practice that "specializes" in cats, when so many vets know more about dogs. Trying to find a really good small animal vet for my other kitty so she has better care as she ages. read more

I adopted a kitten from Cats Exclusive just over a year ago and I love this cat whole heartedly. She started getting really aggressive towards our small dog and then attacked me and my 3 year old daughter. Our injuries required medical attention and pictures are too graphic. I had to bring her back because we could no longer keep her in the house for the safety of me and my child. I thought by doing so I was doing the right thing and I got nothing but judgement and attitude from one employee especially. She kept shaking her head and spoke to me so rudely. When I asked why she was treating me that way she flat out said "you're surrendering your cat." It was hard enough having to give up my cat let alone be treated in such a manner but the safety of my 3 year old has to be my priority. Even after showing them the injuries on me and my child they not only showed no empathy but they still continued to treat us horribly. I would NEVER recommend this place to anybody. read more

I have tried a few animal hospitals in the area and I have to say that I love Cats Exclusive. Dr. Grabowski is truly an amazing veterinarian who cares so much about her clients and their furry children! Plus, every time I call to schedule an appointment or to ask a question, it is an absolute pleasure to speak with Stacey. She is always so friendly and helpful. She is truly an amazing asset to your clinic!! Whenever I come to their low cost vaccine clinic or for an appointment, everyone is always so happy. You can tell the staff really love their jobs Yes, the rooms are small, the parking is difficult sometimes, but it is very worth it. I am so happy I found this place!
