Dr Thampy and her staff are absolutely wonderful. Very informative, helpful, friendly and reassuring. Fran and Erin (NPs) are also VERY awesome. I always enjoy seeing them when taking the kiddos in. I come from the Midwest where medical care is typically very personal. You feel like more than a number. I've had two of my kids from birth go to Thampy's and feel so loved and cared for there. They know my kids and ask about the ones who aren't with me during appointments. I love everyone at this office. It's been such a blessing to my family to have people who care for my kiddos. 10/10 would recommend. read more

The women there said it was " a waste of time " regarding my baby to be seen outside of there office telling me they don't want to send referrals out when it's urgent!! People there seem to get a pay check and not care for the toddlers and babies. DO NOT RECOMMEND. They are rude and nothing ever gets done. They hire just ANYBODY. read more

Great Doctor. However this facility caters to the more well off members of society. They do not accept Medi-Cal or any of its affiliates, even as a secondary for disabled kids! They charge $40 paperwork fee for anything, no matter how small. I took my Autistic son here for health visits and they couldn't really help me with anything. If I asked a simple question my sons well visit would be coded as a basic visit and I would be charged a Co-Pay of $25 where it should/could be free. My wife and I got FMLA through our work and were charged $80 for 3 sentences and a signature on paper to provide at work. We have tobdo this every year. They do piercings and spa treatments too, probably to further her lavish personal lifestyle. Just another Dr that "cares for the children" as long as their parents have deep pockets and the right Health Insurance. read more

They took our personal out of pocket payment and also cashed the refund our insurance paid their office. They got paid twice for the same service and are telling us that it is their office policy. This place is a mess, Angie came up with each and every excuse possible to justify it. Be careful, I don't even think this is legal. Obviously my son was not on my insurance at the moment of birth so we couldn't show proof but my wife and two other kids have the same insurance. Stay away from this place! read more

If you're looking for a pediatric office who gives you that special care, come here! As a new mother, I have come to Dr. Thampy and her team with lots of questions and concerns about raising a baby. She listens with intent, validates concerns, and follows up with loving, science-backed care for my child, never making me feel silly for coming in or naive about my child's health. Her front-desk staff and medical assistants are so kind and tender to each child who enters the door. They are friendly and helpful with every visitor or call. I can see that most of the good reviews of this practice are at least a couple of years old. Things have changed! They are good at fitting you in but fail to inform you that the wait time will be longer than an hour. They have always seemed to have a hard time managing their business day. I think Dr Thampy caters more to the much younger child. I found her to be quite condescending And not much of a "bed side manner". My children were never fond of her or their experiences. My newborn daughter is a new patient of Dr. Thampy and I'm pleased with the care she's been receiving. The office staff worked great with us after my daughter was discharged from the hospital and was accommodating to our daughter's needs. My daughter was diagnosed with tongue and lip tie but at this time we decided to have them release her tongue so she can have a better latch and so far it's been going well. My husband and I were conflicted because no one wants to have their child go through a procedure so early in their life but I knew after weighing the pros and cons we needed to proceed. The procedure was successful and my baby and I are able to nurse comfortably. We're happy we found a pediatrician who listens to us and office staff who are helpful and nice. read more

Ear Piercing service here! My 18 month old DTR had a scheduled appt elsewhere and they cancelled on us--that was the 2nd appt I attempted with the other doctor. We contacted Dr. Thampy's office and they were able to schedule us the same day! They used a lidocaine cream on my daughter's ears and had a papoose board. The Medical Assistants were sincere and were informative. Dr. Thampy herself was a sweetheart! She explained the painless procedure and went into detail of how the gun works. She was patient to with me to ensure the placing of the piercing is where it would look decent on my DTR's ear I will say the service was very pricey. They use titanium earrings, which shouldn't cause a reaction once the ears are pierced. It's been 3 weeks since my DTR had her ears pierced and no scabbing or irritation noted to both ears...I have yet to clean it since there is no build up. It was recommended to leave the titanium earrings in for the next 8 weeks before changing them out. I plan on returning for my youngest DTR when she is of age. The recommendation is the baby be at least 4 months old. The price range was $200+ for the simple procedure, which is my reason for a star deducted. The price is $100+ if the child is older than 5...I think. In my line of work, I don't trust just anyone to do an ear piercing on my DTR, therefore I went on a splurge and trusted this doctor to pierce my DTR's ears. I'm satisfied with piercing and the earrings you get out of this visit. I do plan to return to get my younger DTR's pierced. read more

As a first time mom I want the upmost care for my son but that's exactly what this entire practice has not shown him or my family. I called to schedule an emergency appointment because my son had a very high fever among a few other symptoms and was promised I'd at least get a call back from Dr. Thampy. I waited a few hours and nothing so I called again and was told she was very busy and again she would give me a call. The day is over and no call and no appointment. The next day I call again same receptionist Angie said she would text Dr. Thampy right away and she usually responds very quickly. I finally received a call and was feeling hopeful seeing my son was still running a temperature with the same symptoms but to only find out that she wanted to "confirm" my phone number so I then asked if Dr. Thampy got my messages about my son and her response was "just to give him Tylenol" and I was still promised at least a call back. Again the day is done no call or appointment. My son is 2 and like I said I'm a first time mom and was very very concerned about him. It literally says online as I looked up his symptoms if you are concerned about your child call their Dr. right away and this is what we got. I figured because it was close to the weekend they just didn't care. I get it my son isn't the only sick child in this world but he was also a sick child who deserved to be cared for as this whole practice clearly does not. We also had an appointment a few months back and waited in the room for over 2 hours as you know for a 2 year old is not very easy but that's a whole other story. My son deserves better and we will be on the search for people with sense of urgency and who care. read more

For almost 3 years now they are trying to charge me for a visit that they can't prove that they attempted to collect from at least 1 of my 2 insurances...I don't know how else to get them to bill my insurance other than by posting here... they would not even respond to the Better Business Bureau. Dr Thampy has been our Pediatrcian since 2005. All 4 of my kids have been seen by her and we have recommended her to others who love it here as well. We trust her with our babies. Ridiculous. Came here to see if my baby has a lip or tongue tie. First, they do not have a sick and well entrance, so all the healthy kids are being exposed to the sick ones. The waiting area smelled like a daycare with fingerprints all over. Finally get to our room and the doctor never comes! Just a nurse practitioner who tells us everyone has a lip or tongue tie and it's up to us whether to get him clipped. No guidance, knowledge of if it would be helpful or not. Said the doc would be out for two weeks but we can schedule on such and such day- but again, no real advice for us, just "you can do it if you want". She was jamming her finger in my baby's mouth as he was spitting up and wouldn't take it out to let him swallow or spit it out. The room was not sanitary- kids chair looked obviously dirty, and the only trash in the room had to be accessed by opening the cupboard door- so every time she would touch the handle in order to get to the trash. That handle must have so much bacteria! We needed a spot to throw away the baby's diaper and she said we could throw it away in the restroom. Will not go here again. I didn't pay to see a NP who had absolutely no solid advice and I hope my baby didn't pick up any germs there. read more
