Woof, guys... let me tell you after devouring this, I was full. We arrived, and as we walked through the restaurant, my mouth was already watering the smell of flavor was in the air. Tish seated us and explained the seafood boil options in great detail. I saw her do this with every table outside, and she was fantastic. HUGE shoutout to her I also loved how she interacted with the live band from time to time. I ordered a pound of crab with a half pound of scallops, two red potatoes, and one corn on the cob, all with the trifecta sauce a combination of garlic, lemon pepper, Cajun, and their signature sauce (thank you, Tish). Spice level 3, considered hot, comes with habanero peppers in the mix it was awesome! My lady got the vegetarian tofu bowl with ramen. Angry Crab Shack, I challenge you to add your amazing seasoning to your ramen bowls or tofu. I tried it, and it was bland just because a dish is vegetarian doesn't mean it should be without flavor. With how good your food is, adding those flavors to the vegetarian options would attract an even bigger crowd. My only quam was that mosquitoes kept landing on me outside, but from what I hear, that's the state bird. Maybe burn some citronella candles out there. Thank you for the experience!

Fish & Chips, double fries instead

My husband is a picky eater so after looking at the menu online, I thought this would be a good compromise for both of us. We went for lunch on a Friday and it was almost deserted. Service was friendly and fast. They had decent music playing (classic rock/80s). I got the Jambalaya and he ordered the Fish and Chips, double fries instead of fries & slaw. The food was pretty good. My Jambalaya came with chicken, shrimp, and conecuh sausage, my favorite. The bread was sliced but not cut all the way through, so trying to finish cutting it while in the jambalaya was difficult since it kinda became rubbery. His fries were good - Cajun fries - and his fish was ok. It was Cod, heavily battered. It kinda reminded me of Long John Silver's. That's not an insult; we used to eat there frequently! I don't know. We ate everything, but when we left I said "It was fine, but I feel very underwhelmed." He said that was exactly what he was thinking. I'd go back for sure but maybe not with a lot of enthusiasm.

We tried this place for dinner recently and it was ok. Our group of 5 was quoted 30 min wait time around 6:30p on a Wednesday night. We got our table 50 min later. Once we sat at the table it was another 15 min before a waiter took our drink order. We tried the fried shrimp basket, catfish basket, and the shrimp/crab combo boil. The fish and shrimp were good. The Cajun fries had great flavor. The shrimp/crab boil was just ok. The shrimp were tough and the crab was tough to crack because it was so mushy. Almost as if it was over cooked. Which isn't great considering how long the wait was.

This was my first time at the Angry Crab Shack. We were seated promptly and our server Mady was excellent. She was knowledgeable about the menu, attentive, and helped with any questions. This was my first seafood boil experience. I opted for the Shrimp and Crab combo, selected the trifecta seasoning(garlic, lemon pepper, cajun) at spice level 2. This was delicious! Great flavor, just the right amount of heat, and portion size for one. The seafood cooked perfectly, sweet corn, and buttery soft potato. Overall, a wonderful experience and yummy meal!

I really want to be fair so this review might be long. Walked in and were seated immediately. The hostesses were absolutely lovely. They had live music and it was amazing. They also had calamari which was the only thing my daughter wanted for her birthday, and was surprisingly difficult to find on the gulf. Appetizers came out nice and quick. They serve Pepsi products, which I love, but they were out of actual Pepsi. We had seven people in our party: myself, my husband and our five kids. Our food came out in three waves, 10 minutes apart. Our last kid didn't have his food till most of us were half done. They gave my daughter a beautiful, free dessert. That was kind and generous. At the end, they did mandatory gratuity even though their website that applies to adults. Kinda sneaky. Honestly, had we all not eaten dinner at different times, we would've left a large tip anyway but the service was not great save for the hostesses. Our server seemed mildly annoyed the duration of the night though our order WAS accurate, etc. With so many options I simply don't think I will be back.

Kids menu popcorn shrimp was such a small portion that I had to ask if was the right amount. They said yes so I sent it back. $7 for 8 popcorn shrimp. Changed to the fried shrimp meal for $17 and it was the right choice. The naked shrimp boil was cold as were the sausage and corn when it came out. Very disappointing. The server pretty much ignored us after I asked about the popcorn shrimp. Not sure why she did as I knew it wasn't her fault. Over priced but that's almost everything on the beach.

We had such a great time eating seafood Friday night that we tried ANGRY CRAB RESTAURANT across from the Hampton inn Saturday night, they offered live music. I has the shrimp boil special at $20, what a great deal It looks small when u approach but the rooms go to the left into the courtyard. I highly recommend the seafood

Ate here with the fam and have to say was pretty disappointed. The price was high. The spices/seasoning was pretty bland. Seafood is seafood -so the protein was fine. The seasoning was bland. I went ahead and bought a couple of levels up on the heat -and it was not good either Hot -but not good. The boil and drinks and 2 appetizers was over $400; so 4 adults and 2 pre-teens and 2 toddlers ate for $57 each. I'm good with price -when quality is there; unfortunately, it was not. Sorry -can't give them a good review. The server -Tish, was sweet and took care of us -a diamond in the rough.

We were on vacation and we spent a few hours across the street on the beach. Came in around 4 o'clock and we were immediately seated. Kara was our server and she came to our table right away to offer us drinks, explain the menu thoroughly and answered any questions we had. Our food came in good time and was very delicious. We ordered the shellfish sampler and shared it between 3 people. Catfish and shrimp basket and shrimp pasta. The sampler was more than plenty for 3 people and we had leftovers of all our food. Portions were very generous. Kara checked on us in on us quite a bit. She is whey friendly and considerate of our needs. Would highly recommend Angry Crab Shack and would definitely come again when we are in the area. Ask for Kara to be your server, you will not be disappointed.

We stopped here as a party of 5. 3 adults 2 kids and the food was delicious! Money well spent. Our eyes were bigger than our bellies and we had lots to take home. Service was prompt and our server was very nice. We loved the openness of the restaurant, the music playing was great and the restaurant has lots of natural light. Bathrooms were clean. We love spicy, and ordered level 2 for our boil. Ended up asking for level 3 on the side and probably could've gone up another level, but the flavor was there, it was delicious. We also ordered the lobster crostini and it was so refreshing and wasn't heavy on our stomachs. Would def order all over again. Shrimp and grits were out of this world!

My family is a seafood family and my parents recommended this spot while we were visiting them in Orange Beach. We were able to walk in and grab a table pretty quickly as things turned around fast. They were busy but the staff are efficient and friendly. We decided to get the shrimp broil with a few extras thrown in. It seems kind of pricey at first but when you see that the bags feed multiple people, it really evens out. We were able to feed 4 adults out of one bag and we all had plenty to eat. Lots of yummy shrimp. We ordered a kids meal for one of our kids, but the other one was able to eat out of the bag as well since he is a shrimp lover like his dad. The only thing I would mention is that some of the extras are personal sized, so if you order something like coleslaw, it will only feed one person. It also was a little weird eating out of a bag, it felt like I was digging through the trash like a raccoon, ha! Other than that, not a bad place for some healthy, non-fried seafood broils.

    Shrimp and grits

Ordered 1/2 dozen oysters which were good (hard to mess them up if they're fresh) and the shrimp and grits as I order it anytime I see in a menu. It was very bland/boring (I added hot sauce to it to give it some life) but too much grits and not enough shrimp. I wouldn't order it again. Service - I was seated at a high top table in the bar and the bartender struggled to work the area by himself...I kept going to the bar when I needed something.

Hush puppies were pretty darn good, light, nicely seasoned with good flavor. The Cole slaw was excellent. All portions were generous. We are from the north and maybe it is just a southern style we aren't familiar with or used to consuming. The gumbo is pretty good too. It's smells clean not like stinky fish. They have a counter full of ice for fresh items, coolers for premade goods, and freezers for frozen items. There is also a very easy to understand menu. We were feeding 4 teenagers and 2 adults so we decided to go with 3 of the boils. We added in crab legs to two. The crab legs are frozen so you just pick out which pack you want. You have 3 seasons to choose from, mild, medium, or Cajun. We did the medium and Cajun. We also grabbed a container of their lump crab dip and a peanut butter pie. Oh and you can't forget the garlic butter. They even warmed it up for us. I will say with everything we got we probably could have fed at least one more person. We did have one teen that wasn't fond of shrimp but she ate plenty of other things. Our meal cost us just under $200. That's just over $33 per person with dessert for 6 people. The sausage was really good. It was the main thing the kids wished we had more of, that and potatoes. They are big potato fans. I didn't think the potatoes really had a chance to soak up the flavor but if you cut them open and rubbed them around it was good. I thought overall everything was a bit salty and that's a lot coming from me. I'm the girl that salts my chocolate chip cookies. I like my salt y'all! The shrimp was a bit over cooked or something because it was extremely hard to peel but wasn't rubbery. We got the large shrimp and the headless reds. To be honest with you I couldn't really tell a difference. If I did it over again I wouldn't waste the extra money on the reds. The dip was very good. It was loaded with flavor and clumps of crab just like it should be. It did not have any shells that we came across which is a big plus in my book. The peanut butter pie was very tasty. I highly recommend it! We are already planning to stop back in when we head back down for our next wrestling tournament. You really can not beat the price for seafood in the area.
