When reapplying for a new vehicle, was told I was out of the service area Northern SK. Was sent a screen shot of the regional Manager of SK and MB, when I emailed the regional Manager, she said she doesnt deal with these things, I sent her the screen shot, and she went to the dealership saying I was harassing her for catching her in a Blunt lie. when I was behind, They called me 3 times a day (I did answer all 3 calls) so when you owe them anything, they have 0 issue harassing you, but when you want answers, they wont return a call or email. wont update credit bureau, out of spite knowing other lenders need it paid off first.

Worst company, we were in a position where unfortunately this company was our only option…read more Everything seemed great, we expected the higher interest but what we didnt expected doing more research afterwards is that they "sold " us a vehicle twice it's price and gouged us with payments. Even after explaining we couldn't afford more then that they gave us at our top end and wouldn't work with us. So 2 months after we had asked for the dates to change as when we first signed we gave them our payment dated and they did the complete opposite. Then they said they would but we would have to signed a whole new contract. So I said forget it then. Another month later we tried contacting them again almost begging to change the dates because it was causing the payments to bounce and we wanted to keep in good standings. Finally I got them to work with us. Now after that the payment were coming out on correct days thank goodness. But then one day they stopped coming out and we couldnt figure out why so I called again and they informed us it was only temporary change and now were at risk for repossession because we had 2 missed payments. I asked what aare you talking about we asked for this from the get go why would this only be temporary? They were so rude to me, talking to me like i was scum. Calling me names. Just kept threatening to take the vehicle and laughing at me. So when i had asked as to why we were never contacted after the payment was missed they had said well we sent a letter to this email (which was incorrect ) and texted and called this phone number (whis was just a bunch of random numbers) i said none of those contacts are correct what the heck, i told them i was looking at my contract and all our phone numbers are correct on here so how do you have the wrong info on file? So they "changed" and said we were good. Now again a month later still no payments coming out. Again called and got some bullshit lies and stories. So again changed and fixed everything with them but nothing actually changed. So i told them i was done when they threatened to take the vehicle. It was only after that someone started texting and emailing me on my correct email and phone number "trying to work with us " and i just said no take your vehicle. It wasnt until 4 months later they came and got it. And now im stuck with this on my credit and may never be able to get another vehicle again because of them. I have 4 kids and have been walking and taking cabs so much because i cant get a vehicle because lenders see me as a risk when i never was. It breaks my heart. My kids are always asking for a new vehicle and i just cant affort to pay something outright.

This review lands somewhere between a low 4 and a 2-star. It's actually kind of hard to go one way…read moreor the other because for all intents and purposes until a recent unfavourable experience (which I'll go into), I liked this branch. As the other person who reviewed them mentioned, it's a clean, bright fairly new branch with lots of friendly customer service/tellers working here. Always very helpful and always friendly. The branch is more of an open concept with the more sales focused folks (mortages, loans, etc) sitting in semi-private open offices as opposed to closed-door offices. It has free coffee and water for guests and a comfortable lounge to sit in and watch television when you're waiting for an appointment. I'm a long time TD customer so I've come to expect these sorts of comforts and innovations. What wasn't at the TD level of performance was my our recent experience applying for a loan product. With wedding and baby on the way and with my fiancee working less due to being back in school our financial advisor had said, having an unsecured LOC would be good - even though we didn't need it to have as a safety net. We set up and appointment in early July and came prepared with all our paperwork. The service was friendly and helpful and we were told excitedly that we were actually approved for double what we had come in looking for. We parted ways after signing the paper work being told that we'd be getting a call back to come in sign off on the final paper work within a week. Fast forward a month, and after numerous calls and emails to the same advisor with ZERO responses, I used twitter to tweet at the advisor and finally got a response telling me that not only were we not approved for the amount she told us but we were declined entirely. This began a lengthy back and forth with the advisor, the branch manager... and when I say back and forth, I really mean we got back to them and then they seldom followed up in an equally timely manner. After another month of calls, emails, periods of silence and eventual tweets to get attention, something must have happened because we were told we were able to get a courtesy loan for 1/2 of what we came in for and 1/4 what we were apparently approved for. Kind of disappointing after all this effort. We considered our options and did accept it in the end BUT the experience has really soured me on the actual customer service that TD provides. Sure surface level transactional service which has you in and out in minutes is easy to fake on the surface level but where a company really shows there metal, in my opinion, is how they dig deep and handle these tougher conversations and situations. I recently came into some investment gains that I am planning on reinvesting, the natural thing would be to put it into existing TD RSP and TFSA accounts but after this experience, I do not have confidence that they're a branch capable of, nor do I want them, handling my more intricate financial planning needs. I'll remain a TD customer because as with most situations it's better the devil you know than the one you don't and now I really know their dark sides so at least I'm prepared.

At no time did we feel supported by the folks at this branch. It seemed we had to ask for information all along the way. Everything seemed difficult. Even when meetings were scheduled, and we sat waiting in chairs in plain sight of bank employees, no one bothered to acknowledge us or ask us if we needed help. And of course, our meetings never began on time. I am not slagging TD. I'm just sorry we chose this branch for our mortgage.
