With only three available suites and the unusual…read moreabsence of a traditional check-in process, one may be inclined to assume that this hotel leaves much to be desired. However, the Fields of Eden Inn is awesome! I'll admit, I was a bit nervous after my travel companion booked a room and was simply provided with a code for accessing our suite. Additionally, it's a bit of a plain-jane looking building - there's a sign by the road, and based on the appearance of the structure, you'd expect to enter a clean and new, but standard motel room. Before arriving at the suite, I hadn't seen photos. I wasn't too worried - like I said, based on the building's appearance, I knew I could count on a decent room. But the moment we entered, I was shocked by how nice it was! And once I saw how nice it was, I began to think of the booking process and entry code as convenient bonuses to the deal. We stayed in Suite #1 and absolutely loved it. The room came with a kitchen area that was stocked with nearly everything you might need, minus major appliances, such as a stove or oven. There's plenty of dinnerware, drinkware, a microwave, a refrigerator and freezer, and, most importantly, a wine key. The freezer even has trays of ice cubes in it. Suite #1 was equipped with a queen-sized bed and a faux fireplace, which can be adjusted for purposes of ambiance and temperature. There's also a convenient, hand-held remote for adjusting the heat/air conditioning. The room contained a large bathtub with jets, which is positioned such that the occupant can watch television while they soak. My counterpart and I argued about whether the bathtub is big enough for one or two people - we didn't put our opposing theories to the test, but I used the tub alone, and I stand by my claim that there's room for two. On a serious note, this hotel room was stocked with everything the average traveler could want or need, including an abundance of towels, an ironing board and iron, shampoos and soaps, a blow dryer, and - get this - a set of "MyPillows," in case you're as finicky as me and the standard-issue hotel pillows don't do the trick. Considering the quality of the room, it's certainly worth the cost. I'd gladly stay here again! Please keep in mind that I stayed in Suite #1, and that there are 3 unique rooms - photos and details are available at the hotel's website.

Sunday brunch. We came in after seeing a Facebook post…read moreadvertising brunch from 10-2 on Sundays. We arrived at about 10:30am. First off, the property, the building, what we could see of the grounds is beautiful. It's still snow covered and cold, but I bet this place is lovely in the summertime. Through the front entrance into the grand foyer, there are no signs, no host, or any indication of where to go, so we looked in different doorways, found a bathroom, a lounge, a long hallway; eventually a gentleman spotted us wandering and asked if we were here for brunch. When we entered the dining room, the friendly server came by and told us to sit anywhere, pointed out the coffee and juice and food in the next room. She was a doll. There were 2 guys eating in the dining room, and by the time we left, only one more table of ladies came in, not busy at all. It was quite inexpensive for what they offered (2 adults $40) you could add mimosas or something else from the bar, if you wanted a beverage other than juice, water, coffee, or tea. The food was just ok, there were plenty of lunch and breakfast choices, the mac and cheese was good, their take on Italian Wedding soup was good, but it was mostly just ok. Some things were obviously sitting a while, e.g. the Minestrone was the consistency of chili, but hubs tried it and said it was good. Parking, unfortunately, is far from the entrance, and the long walk to the door very icy, unsalted and dangerous. Maybe we try again in better weather, we'll see.

We stayed in the Foote suite, which was decorated in very soft yellow curtains and comforter. It also included two small chandeliers with adjustable lighting. The bathroom looked completely renovated with comfortable tiling and a nice big shower. We also purchased the lunch package which included two sandwiches, a choice of side, water bottles and cookie! It also included everything you need for the beach; towels, chairs, umbrella, blankets and books! We loved our lunch and looking for sea glass. We would recommend this place to anyone looking for a quiet get away, or anniversary celebration!

We arrived right at 3 for our check in and received a warm welcome from Lesley complete with a review of the property and tour of the space. Very helpful to know where everything is right away! Plus - a welcome cocktail and sweet bread was waiting for us! Delicious! The room: we stayed in La Due, which had an amazingly comfortable king bed, ceiling fan, and tub/shower combo. No detail goes unnoticed in the room, the towels are soft and match the floor rugs beautifully. Robes are available for guests and plenty of outlet space for charging is around the room. A note to visitors: the shared refrigerator for guests is only a mini-fridge, so there isn't much storage space. We'd suggest planning ahead and bringing a cooler for any larger items you wanted to store - or calling ahead to see about options. When we wanted to chill champagne, Lesley was wonderful to assist us with an ice bucket and two glasses! I highly recommend a trip here - friendly, relaxing, and so comfortable!

The accommodations are kept clean, and the king size bed was firm and comfortable. Every morning they serve a good hearty "breakfast-in-bed" delivered to your room at whatever time you choose the night before. Between 7am to 10am. The hotel is very close to the overcrowded Clifton Hill area which is home to an amusement park atmosphere. The hotel is also within good walking distance to the Falls, about a 20 -30 minutes walk along the promenade on the Niagara River. However, it's quiet at the hotel at all hours thankfully. Sterling Inn appears to be one of the better hotel options in the immediate touristy area. *There is a AG Restaurant on premises , as well as Spa for your pleasure.* Thank you for reading. Being from out of the country I had numerous questions while I was there and the staff I met were patient and helpful. The room was modern, clean, and neat. I rarely heard any of my neighbors or outside noise. The bed was comfy, water pressure in the shower was good, and the AC worked properly. Breakfast in bed is delivered each morning if you request it. It was a lot of food for me so I opted out the rest of my trip.

I walk through the doors to an attitude from Tanya saying I was the last person to check in. And apparently she had to stay until I got there. On top of that, the out front unloading zone and parking lot had not even been plowed or treated with salt. Therefore, what a hassle trying to get your luggage in the middle of the night. As everyone knows the brand Wyndham is typically on target however this location is not. For the price of the rooms and the brand was very disappointed, not only with the service but the condition of the room. I will say my bed was very comfortable however, the pillows needed thrown away as there was really nothing left to them as you picked them up they folded into and were all floppy. Zero support! My duvet cover showed a huge rip that had been sewn back together, Underneath the heating unit, there were all kinds of wires that had been spliced sticking out, grabbing your feet when you went by, cloth chair, a huge stain on it, mini fridge was frozen up, coffee pot was dirty, dirt around bathroom vanity faucet, bathroom exhaust fan didn't work at all, peeling paint from the bathroom mirror frame, grout in the bathroom with two different colors, tub drained very slow, towel had someone else's hair on it, bathroom door frame all scratched up, remote control was dirty, and some features not even work on it, wasn't able to connect to Wi-Fi the entire time there. As I missed my dog on the trip, I stopped at the front desk to ask if there were breed restrictions and the cost.... Quickly, the lady rolled her eyes ( same lady that checked me in with the attitude ) and ask what I had, followed by an attitude as to why it cost a extra$ 75 per night for a dog ( keep in mind I didn't ask why ) but she definitely lead on that. She didn't appreciate dogs being there and she said it would be cheaper to leave them at home. She stated that everything has to be taken out of the room and cleaned afterwards. Yes I expected that but the level of attitude I received was very unwelcoming. Perhaps it's time for a career change for this individual as she is leaving a negative impact on this hotel. Can we say " bad apple "? Everyone else here was very friendly. Noticed same bags of trash, set out by the residence for pick up for days. Elevators were a slushy mess in the lobby coming in pretty much the same. Wasn't able to enjoy the heated pool or hot tub due to unruly children running, screaming out of control as they were doing cannonballs....and of course, the parents were doing nothing. Parking was a train wreck as they didn't plow any of the parking lot or parking spaces, therefore it took up a lot more space because people couldn't see the lines and a lot of people had to park at the bank next-door and lug all their stuff across the snowy parking lot. OK now for what I did enjoy. Bed was comfortable and clean, rosemary, scented toiletries, hot complementary breakfast with delicious coffee. Friendly and helpful staff ( except for gray hair lady at the front desk ). Great location for walking to and from on a ski trip.

While the breakfast was just so-so, the coffee was actually pretty good. However, a front desk agent named Tanya completely ruined what could have been a great experience. As a handler of two service animals, I was shocked by her lack of knowledge regarding the ADA. Upon check-in, she asked questions about my specific disability, forced me to sign a "pet form" (service animals are not pets), and aggressively threatened to evict me if the dogs barked--despite them being silent and well-behaved. It created a hostile environment immediately. To make matters worse, my room keys were deactivated four times in two days, and when I tried to book a second night directly through Wyndham instead of Expedia to fix a rewards issue (as Tanya suggested), she was rude, dismissive, and refused a simple upgrade or late checkout even though the hotel was visibly empty. The physical hotel is nice, but until they train their staff on federal law and basic hospitality, I can't recommend staying here if you want to feel welcome.
