My only complaint about the room was the cheap grade of toilet paper. Also, anyone over 6 feet tall should be prepared to crouch a bit in the shower. My husband and I both are under 6 feet tall so it wasn't a problem for us. We also dined in their restaurant both nights. The first night my husband and I both had the filet, which was delicious though a bit overcooked. We both asked for medium and received medium-well almost well done steaks. We added the mushroom sauce and it was wonderful. The second night my husband got the filet again and it was cooked to perfection. I got the Tuscan chicken and it was delicious as well. They only serve wine and beer but that was ok because we were both in the mood for wine both nights. They also had a red sangria that was to die for. It's a bit pricey but the food is excellent and the view is phenomenal.

We were very happy with our lodging and would recommend Silver Run. The owner was extremely friendly, hospitable and accommodating. We arrived late and she was accommodating to leave a key for us at the office. The cabin was extremely clean which was most important to me. The linens were fresh and comfortable. The small kitchenette provided everything we needed for our short 2 night stay. If you are looking for lodging that is rugged, rustic yet clean, I recommend Silver Run.

Highly recommend this hotel! 2019 ish - Best bed and breakfast we have been going to for 15 years. It's been under 3 owners The original Ashley which was awesome! Some crazy guy who sucked. The new owners Shane and ... someone but there a lot like the original owners unlike the 2nd owner who... was bipolar when doing check ins. But the newest and current owners are great. Rooms are always clean and it's a little different then a regular hotel enviroment. It's a homey fill with a living room and dining room and a big ole fashion wrap around porch that's a little rare now days! All in all I prefer the Ashley house as it's the only good hotel in this city... there's another one but its what they call a drug motel... Also the only 2 hotels in about a hour lol.

Only a few minutes away from the little Mountain View town, it is easy to get to restaurants and the caverns and parks. It also is still very secluded and quiet and relaxing. We stayed in the garden room, which had a great balcony overlooking the property. We have zero complaints from this place and would go back again in a heart beat.

Parking is not great for those rooms AT ALL!!! The mattress was extremely hard but some like that so that just depends on your preference. The room was small but we were only in there for sleep so not a huge deal for us. The bathroom was extremely small and hot but again, just there for sleeping. The AC was in the sitting room (no TV in there). Thankfully we brought our fan with us so it would blow air into the bedroom area. My main complaint would be the fact that they rent and shuttle THEIR kayaks or rafts but, even if you spend money to stay at Jack's Resort for the weekend, they don't offer you the option of paying them to shuttle your personal kayaks (that was what we went to that area for). They only shuttle if you rent the kayaks from them. So we had to go down to Angler's to get them to shuttle us up river. Next time, we will probably just stay at Angler's for that reason. On the plus side, JoJo's was a great place to eat and it was nice to be able to just walk over there.

I've stayed here several times over the years and they have always gone out of their way to help make sure I had an enjoyable time. Although Jack and his wife have passed on the family are still running things. They have everything you need to go fishing. You can rent a boat with a motor, fishing poles and bait. Or you can employ a fishing guide to take you out. They are independent contractors but, provide a terrific service at a reasonable cost. We always stay in a river side room that has a screened porch out the back. The resort is rustic but, very clean with a restaurant right next door. They also provide grills so you can cook what you catch for supper. Don't pass this place by.

There is of course a separate entrance and it is located in a prime location, near the courthouse and Pickin' Park. We were checked in and given a number in case we needed anything. Room service is upon request only. There are 3 rooms total and each has 2 double beds. It is certainly nothing fancy but gets the job done. There is a small fridge and TV with cable. The wall heater/cooler is strong. They even include camping chairs for you to take to Pickin' Park to listen to music. If you need ice, you can go to the cafe across the street (during business hours) to get some.I called when it was time for us to leave and was just told to leave the keys in the room. Easy, informal, just how i like it! The weak wifi and no shampoo is what kept this from being a 5 star review.

If you haven't had the joy of a record playing vinyl, do it. It is a wonderful and relaxing touch. As the name implies, be prepared for the stairs going up to the loft on the side of the building.
