Our caregiver is amazing with our son and he looks forward to her visits. She has been…read morewonderfully communicative at all times and I can see she tries hard to meet all her clients needs so I am happy to work with her when another parent has an emergency - I don't know how she juggles it all but I still always feel like a priority. The staff is also very easy to reach and a pleasure to work with, and they often check up on me if I haven't reached out in a while. It is easy to get extra help, when necessary, and the timesheet process could not be easier. With so many other aspects of my son's OT needs being laborious to traverse and taking up so much of my time with administration, I truly appreciate that this is literally the most hassle-free service with an incalculable benefit to me, my son, and the rest of the family.

I switched respite companies nearly a year ago, genuinely believing that coming to Pacific Homecare would finally give my family the relief and support we desperately needed. As a parent raising children with special needs, respite is not a luxury. It is a lifeline. Unfortunately, my experience with this company has been nothing short of exhausting, disappointing, and overwhelming. Over the past year, I have dealt with caregivers who are consistently unreliable, show up late, cancel, or simply don't show up at all. I've also experienced caregivers who spend their time sitting on their phones instead of actively engaging with the child they are being paid to care for. In my experience, there has been a serious lack of professionalism, accountability, and adherence to expectations. What pushed me over the edge was my conversation with manager Maria. I was literally in tears explaining how overwhelmed I was, how I have no family support to fall back on, and how much I depend on respite services just to get a moment of relief. I expressed how deeply dissatisfied I was with the ongoing issues. Instead of receiving meaningful support or a solution, my services were placed on a two-week pause. Imagine being a parent already stretched beyond your limits, begging for the support your family depends on, only to have that support interrupted after expressing your concerns. That is absolutely unacceptable to me. Companies providing respite services need to understand the families they are serving. We are not simply looking for someone to sit in our homes and collect a paycheck. We need compassionate, dependable individuals who genuinely care about our children, respect their needs, and understand the enormous responsibility that comes with providing care. Stop placing caregivers with vulnerable families if they are not prepared to show up, be present, follow expectations, and provide the quality of care these children deserve. After nearly a year with Pacific Homecare, I can confidently say that switching to this company has created more stress than relief for my family. Please do not assume that positive reviews guarantee a positive experience. I wish someone had shared an experience like mine before I made the switch. To any special needs parent considering Pacific Homecare, I strongly encourage you to explore other options. Our families already carry enough. We should not have to fight this hard for something that is supposed to provide us with support. Respite should bring relief, not become another source of stress.

We've been using CA Caregivers for over 2 years for my father, who just turned 98 this month…read more I really appreciate all the attention the individual caregivers provide. I have no worries about his well-being when he is in their hands. They help with dressing, showering, meal prep, exercise, hygene, transfering, conversation, companionship, and even going to the doctor. We started out very part-time and have moved to about 50 hours a week to cover the most important times of the day. I know my husband and I could not do it all ourselves and maintain our sanity. We tried another company before California CareGivers because the hourly rate was a little less. We found there was a reason for the rates, and we are very happy with CA Caregivers and all the service they provide administratively and in the home. Give them a call!

I highly recommend the services of California caregivers as they are respectful and compassionate to their clients, donors, partners, residents, staff, volunteers and all within the community they serve. They focus on high quality care by contributing frequent training to elevate their skills in providing quality service with a passion for continuous improvement. I have been working in the human resources industry for 7+ years and I find that it is important to work with people like California caregivers who are a local family owned business that genuinely have the empathy to care for the elderly and disabled. They also have an array of diverse staff that are multilingual with the extraordinary abilities to provide such high quality genuine care to all which is hard to come by now a days. I have recommended many families and residents to them and know they are truly cared for without any concerns. They are who you should want to be surrounded by and the ones I recommend you would want to consider to care for your love ones.
