I am not allowed to shop around for the best price? I am shocked by this guy's lack of business skills, his rudeness, and his willingness to be verbally aggressive. All I did in the past was take my car elsewhere for the repair and he has been waiting 2 years to cuss me out? I told him off, but remain really shocked by his behavior. This kind of treatment should not be condoned. He has lost my business and you should go elsewhere too.

JB Auto is now closed, and for good reason...they are THIEVES!…read more I was highly referred to them by another mechanic whom I trust and respect and the first couple of times I used them, they actually did do good work and for a reasonable price (after negotiating). After "trying them out", I gave them a MUCH bigger job for most of the electronic work on a classic Bronco rebuild I was doing. Long story short, Armando took it upon himself to do stuff that's out of his wheelhouse and take a dremel to my dash to make holes for 2 switches that needed to go in there, and he destroyed the dash. He made the holes far too big and completely crooked. I was left with no choice but to take the car to a welder to redo the metal dash. He still had several things to finish up and although I wanted him to do most of them before I had to take the truck to the welder and paint, he insisted I take them to those 2 shops before bringing it back for him to finish the job (which almost all of it was paid for) and he would refund me the money I paid to fix what he damaged. Well, when I came back about 10 days later (as we had discussed), his shop was closed and some guy from the adjacent business came out to tell me that he closed down his shop and had known about it for quite some time. So he knowingly screwed me, BUT, karma is a bi#ch, and I'm sure it's business dealings like that, that led to that lowlife not being able to keep the doors to his shop open...

I think what got me was that he said he would have it done, but then when I called the part hadn't even come in yet (my car needed a special component). And often times, I wouldn't get a phone call to say if the car was ready. I showed up several times to just have to walk home. Thankfully, I only live a few blocks away. All in all, I'm still pleased with the work he did, it was just that my car had some tricky fixes and it took several times to get it correct. And still to this day it doesn't shift as well from a cold start. But, I guess that's what happens with a rebuilt transmission.

I moved into my new place a few months back, and received a coupon for services from All Speed…read moreamidst a bundle of other ads. I needed to get my brakes changed, and their prices were reasonable, so I went. I had all my pads changed, and because the previous owner of the vehicle was negligent, had all my rotors turned. Everything seemed fine, but the next day, I noticed a squeaking sound. I figured it would go away once the pads were broken in, but it never did. Finally, I called All Speed, and they told me to bring the car in. As soon as I get there, we take it around the block, and it happens to be the one time that they stop squeaking. Fine. It started again the next day, so I brought it back in. I took his repairman around the block, listened to the noises, but the repairman claimed that he heard nothing. I didn't know if he was lying, or just plain hard-of-hearing, but I was irritated. The owner agreed to go around the block with me, the brakes made noise, and he also said he heard nothing. Now I've had friends comment on the noise before, so I know I wasn't imagining it. At this point, I was irate. He agreed to go around the block one more time, and I even pointed out the noise, but the owner still claimed he heard nothing. They could see that I was fuming, so they agreed to manually check the brakes, just so they could prove me wrong. When they finally did, they found something that shouldn't have been there. I understand that everyone makes mistakes, that's fine, but fix them when you do. The owner came back and said that there was indeed something there that shouldn't have been, and he didn't know how it got there. It was obviously from negligence of when they had changed the pads before, but he wouldn't take responsibility for the mistake. I understand, he may have been fearful of a lawsuit or something, but take responsibility for your mistakes. Don't tell me you can't hear a noise simply because you don't want to fix it.

Needless to say, I have had to take my car in quite a lot. I took it to a few places in my local area (I live on the westside), but there always seemed to be something wrong with the work they did. So after a friend recommended this place I figured it couldn't hurt to try since I hadn't found a garage that I liked. They have been nothing but wonderful! The guy that does most of the work, I think his name is Carlos, is really knowledgeable. I haven't had a single problem that he hasn't been able to fix. Unlike the previous reviewer, I've never had to take my car back in for the same repair. Their prices are VERY reasonable so I keep taking it back.
