We called HVAC Remedy and Miguel came out right away to check things out very thoroughly; he gave us some great info on his findings and advice to move forward. We were told by another company that our unit might need to be changed out completely, which was going to be extremely expensive. Miguel used his expertise to prolong the life of our unit and did some easy and affordable maintenance to keep us going three years later AND COUNTING! Our unit runs amazingly. When we do finally need to replace it, we will be calling him and only him! He also installed and calibrated a new thermostat for us and taught us small things that we can do to keep our home system running smoothly. You can tell he has a passion for his craft and works with integrity. Highly recommend.

We learned that Sequoia sells MD vacs, but also sells their own-branded version of the very same vacuums. However, theirs are blue, so we chose an MD-branded vacuum (giving up the lifetime warranty that comes with the Sequoia-branded version). Nicole placed the order for the vacuum, and then called us once it was finally shipped (MD closed over the holidays), and set a delivery date/time. Larry & Julien showed up in the middle of the time window, and quickly and professionally installed the unit for a very reasonable fee. (Our house was pre-plumbed for a central vac, but never had one installed.) After installation, Larry tested all our outlets to make sure they worked (we're still waiting on parts from another vendor, so couldn't test the system ourselves). The entire experience was pretty much perfect. No sales pressure of any kind, professional, and friendly. Highly recommended.

They quickly got my fridge cooling again, and identified a fairly simple cause. It was $200 for labor to poke at a damper for a bit to get it working again. The motor might be die at some point, but it's fine now. The fair deal is that if the problem happens again within three months, and I buy the $300 part to fix it from them within three months, labor is covered. Definitely a fair concept. I note that a later price comparison found them to be a couple hundred dollars more expensive than another company, but I would have been five more days without a working fridge. Trade-offs! If I had time to shop around, I might not use them again, but only because of price. In a crisis where time matters more than money, I'd definitely have them on my list and feel confident they aren't gonna do me wrong.

I've contacted him to let him know that the oven still doesn't work, and can we please try the other solution he offered. He either doesn't know how to fix this, or was not up front with us. Ladies and Gentlemen, if you are looking for a skilled, hard working and trustworthy young HVAC…read moretechnition that has just recently started his own HVAC business, I highly recommend Leandro Brandao and his company, Thermotec HVAC Services. Leandro is eager to show you what customer service is all about, and I guarantee you, he will impress you, because he sure impressed me. I filled out a service request yesterday to have my ducts cleaned after finding out I had severe water accumulation in the crawl space of my 34 year old home. There was significant mold and mildew involved and I was told my return duct had water inside it, so I haven't had my downstairs furnace or A/C on since the first week of March. I got the water problem solved, so I explained to Leandro, I wanted all my ducts cleaned and sanitized, but if he was too busy to do that right away, if he could just do my return duct ASAP, that would alow me to run the A/C and the rest of the ducts could wait. He responded immediately and said he could do the 1 duct today, but not all of them, I also signed up for his annual service program after his rapid response so he also did the full clean and inspection of my upstairs A/C unit which has been doing double duty for the last two months. But here is where he went above and beyond, I was told by a plumber I had hired to inspect my gas pipes under the house, about the small lake under my house, he found and saw the duct was semi submerged, he went above and beyond too, he lifted up the duct and said it was heavy with water. I did not know how bad the return duct was affected by the water, and Leandro knew this, he went under my house found the duct and opened it up so he could see inside in both directions where a sheet metal connecter was. He said it did not look like much, if any water was inside the duct, it had pink insulation wraped around the outside of the duct that was soaked with water and was heavy because of that, but no mold or mildew was inside the duct, what a relief! He took pictures of everything, and then re-connected the duct properly, and proceeded to clean and sanitize it. He did all this without adding any extra charges to his original quote for today's work. That peace of mind was worth a lot to me, and I told him so. Crawling around under any house is difficult, my house is particularly difficult, the crawl space is extremely tight, tearing apart a duct, and putting it back together under there is hard for me to even imagine. This is the kind of service you can expect to receive from Leandro if you fill out a service request with Thermotec HVAC Services, and if you do, you can thank me later.
