I got a treatment from krista using sound therapy and vibration and while I'm still a little shocked that it helped, it HELPED SO MUCH! Almost immediately I could hold weight on that foot. It was a little incredible. Going into my appointment I really thought my session would be more therapeutic for the stress of not being able to walk anywhere, not actually address the "not being able to walk" part of it. I tried some on the opposite "no frills" end that left me desiring a more welcoming, calming space. Then, I found the perfect in between - Teresa Wiles. Very skilled, with a perfectly decorated, calming space complete with soothing music and aromatherapy. I had never gone back to a practitioner more than once, until Teresa. I started seeing her on a regular basis beginning a few years ago. First, the medical part - I had been having shooting pains, and occasional numbness in my right arm for months. I went to an orthopedist and a neurologist - neither could find anything. I then went to my regular doctor who told me the issues were due to an enormous knot in my shoulder. She told me I needed deep tissue massages to alleviate it, which would then alleviate my arm issues. I didn't really believe her that the answer could be something so simple, but used it to justify getting regular deep tissue massages and continuing my search into finding the perfect massage therapist. I explained all this to Teresa when we first met, and she knew exactly what to do. I must say, after the first few sessions, the pains were gone. No more numbness. Now, the general awesome massage part - Teresa is great. She spends a few minutes before each massage to go over what I need, and plans my massage accordingly. She can read my body well. She incorporates so many things - bamboo, ashiatsu, lomi lomi, etc. The woman even does cupping! I haven't found another massage therapist that does. Teresa is also just a sweet, down to earth woman with a calming presence. She goes above and beyond to meet your needs. One time, I even called her on her day off. I was a few hours away from going to the airport for over 11 hours of international travel and my shoulders were killing me - I was dreading flying in this discomfort. Teresa came in on her day off BEFORE 8 AM to fix me! You can't really ask for someone more dedicated.
