For a small friendly town like Apache Junction Lost Dutchman Realty comes across as impersonal and very big city. The first home I saw was $3,600,000, I got that feeling that they were not going to be interested in me in my much less affluent lifestyle. I was right. I left them a message to call me for an appointment to discuss listing my home with them. In the businesses I've owned when a staffer didn't return a customer (or potential customer) phone call that was a 50% fail strike against them, returning phone calls was an iron-clad rule in my business. After buying and selling several homes and hiring real estate agents my expectations for their trade are higher than 50%. Selling cars and selling real estate are two jobs in which salespeople are expected to latch on to customers with an iron grip and to me that means returning phone calls within minutes, not hours. Well I waited the entire next day, no call-back from Lost Dutchman's owners or agents. I waited again the next day, they still ignored me. In fact I gave them a week before I wrote this review to share my experiences and not one phone call from them. If they ignore me as a prospective client, I have a pretty good idea how they will represent me to prospects who could be interested in my home. I'm not going to beg them to be my agents. Moving on.
