This place is amazing, Judy and Bernie were gracious hosts. The room was clean and homey feel to it. The bed was wonderful and comfy. When I checked in I went to room and found cookies waiting for me that were excellent and hit the spot. I stay at different B&B's around the east coast and this one had one the best breakfasts I have eaten. And the conversation, one of the main reasons I stay at B&B's was entertaining and fun. Hidden Gem in Milan-operated by Julie and her husband. A hint of heaven on earth. Breakfast prepared fresh-We chose outside dinning admits beautiful florals. The weather was perfect. Thomas Edison Museum only one block over. I have been twice in 4 years and not since Covid. Local Peacock is a joy to watch-but has since relocated. Not much to do in the community however Cedar Point and Lake Erie lighthouse are worth the drive. Plan to attend again in the spring. read more

I had a wonderful stay at this charming bed and breakfast, situated in the historic district of Milan. The innkeepers, Judy and Bernie, made us feel like we were at home, from the warm welcome we received upon arrival, to the friendly good mornings and home made breakfast we enjoyed in the garden gazebo. The rooms were impeccably clean and spacious. The bedding and pillows were of high quality, with an extra warm blanket slipped between the sheets for a cooler evening. Each room had a private bathroom across the hall, equipped with an abundance of towels, shampoo, body wash, and conditioner (and the really good kind! not the stingy travel pack ones). And to top it all off, Judy places homemade sugar cookies in each of the rooms (perfect late night snack!) The food was fantastic. Judy and Bernie ask you to let them know what time you would like to eat breakfast, and they take care of the rest. There are several places to eat - for those who prefer to dine indoors, there is a dining room next to the kitchen, or you can eat in the Gazebo encased with screened windows (to keep those pesky bugs out), or a covered patio in the middle of the garden. Each option had beautifully laid out table settings and comfortable seating. The first day, Judy whipped us up some decadent french toast topped with whipped cream and fresh strawberries, with a side of crispy bacon. Bernie made us a fresh pot of coffee using their french press (delicious!) and served us orange juice. The next morning we enjoyed a succulent piece of ham with pineapples, scrambled eggs sprinkled with melted american cheese and seasoning, and a side of pancakes with whipped cream and strawberries. Absolutely fantastic and just what we needed before starting our action packed day. Judy and Bernie also put out crackers, cookies, and a fridge full of stuff that is "communal." As Bernie told us "I didn't count how many beers are in the fridge ; )" Judy and Bernie were also great conversationalists and travel guides. They pointed us in the right direction for local dining gems as well as worthwhile sights to see - Thomas Jefferson's house was located just down the block and Bernies personal recommendation "the Addam's family house" right before you reach the dead end. Overall we had a wonderful experience here and I highly recommend anyone traveling through Ohio to check this place out! read more

Stumbled upon this lovely B & B while looking for hotels for our trip to Cedar Point. We were very excited to visit but not to stay in Sandusky; no hotel over 3 stars, the majority of the hotels in the area with horrible reviews and we heard on the news that many places in Sandusky were reported to have trouble with bedbugs. Angel Welcome was very clean... We did not have to worry about bedbugs here... Squeaky clean! Angel Welcome is located down the street from Sandusky and about a 20 min drive to Cedar Point. Stayed in the Hope room which had quite the comfortable king sized bed. (I normally cannot sleep over 8 hours, but everyday I would wake up past the 8 hr mark; completely refreshed) Homemade and cosistantly tasty breakfast was included. We always felt like we were at home during our stay, especially with the invited to make use of the screened gazebo. With an unplanned open day on our agenda, Bernie & Judy helped us find things to do in the area. Had a great time visiting Marblehead lighthouse and renting bikes in Put-in-Bay. We were happy with their reccomendations. If we ever return to the area, Angel Welcome would be our top choice! read more

The best B&B on earth, hands down! Judy and Bernie run a cute little B&B in the small town of Milan, OH and if you're ever driving through, this is the place you MUST stay. I went here last month for a romantic weekend and the atmosphere was perfect. The rooms were cozy and comfortable, the house was beautiful, and the breakfasts were WONDERFUL! Judy makes some wonderful meals. They were so hospitable and friendly, we immediately felt "at home". If you're a tourist in the area, you'll be pleased to know that the Thomas Edison birthplace and museum is just across the street-- and I recommend you do the tour! We are planning on coming back in the near future... read more

Lovely home. Lovely innkeepers. We spent two beautiful, relaxing nights here. Judy and Bernie are delightful hosts who make you feel right at home. We stayed in the Faith room which was beautifully decorated with quality linens, soft lighting, t.v. etc. The homemade shortbread cookies were a bonus on top of two AMAZING breakfasts. Don't hesitate to stay here. Only wish we had more time to enjoy the lovely garden and gazebo! read more

I had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful B&B over Labor Day Weekend. I was immediately welcomed and felt like I was part of the family. The decor was so charming and the room and bathroom were spotless. Every detail was thought of....from bathroom amenities to homemade sugar cookies left in our room. Oh...and the bed..so comfortable! Breakfast was a delicious vegetable quiche, croissant, berries and yogurt that we enjoyed in the garden gazebo. Judy was so attentive and the perfect host. If your travels bring you to the Milan/Sandusky area stay here...you will thank me! read more

An absolutely great choice for a weekend getaway!! Judy and Bernie are an extremely warm and welcoming couple, and it was easy to feel right at home. The house is beautiful and decorated very tastefully with lots of exquisite china. The rooms are very cozy and comfortable, a very relaxing atmosphere. And last, but certainly not least, Judy's breakfasts are amazing! Very tasty, you can tell a lot of heart goes into her meals! :) If you are ever in, near, or passing through Milan, you need to stay here! Location is also super convenient as well, close to Lake Erie, Cedar Point, and Put-In Bay. We will definitely be going back, just a question of when! :) read more

I found this B&B on Yelp the day before my wife and I were heading to Cedar Point. It was our first time staying at a B&B and it was wonderful. Judy and Bernie were very welcoming and have a wonderful place. We stayed in the Hope room. It was very comfortable and the house was very clean. The best part was breakfast. Judy made French toast with fresh peaches and pecans! Yum! The bacon was amazing too. Our stay was very short but we highly recommend it for anyone who is looking for a nice place to stay in the area. read more

Date of stay: Aug/2011. This quaint bed and breakfast is the epitome of what and how all bed and breakfasts SHOULD be! The owners wee so sweet and available for your every need. The garden area available is perfectly manicured for gorgeous breakfasts outside and/or quiet leisure time away from the hustle and bustle of life. The only recommendation I have would be an addition of a hammock (for two). But that's just me. On a clear night, all the stars are visible and the garden is such a romantic setting. We were warned of mosquitos, but didn't have a single problem. Waking up to the smell of freshly cooked breakfast and coffee - amazing! Not a single noise - just the wonderful aroma. The taste: perfect! As good as home cooking gets! Freshly squeezed juice (not from a carton or jug)! Freshly cut fruit also was a plus! The table setting was straight out of an antique store. We didn't have silverware - we had goldware. I loved all the minute details of it all. It really made the experience above and beyond. Highly, highly recommend to all! read more

We stayed here for 3 nights. We were in the area for a dinner at the Culinary Vegetable Institute, visiting museums, and relaxing; it was also a celebration of a significant birthday. We received very excellent food prepared "from scratch", plenty of good conversation and coffee, and a comfortable and charming room with private bath (and 3 sinks!). This is a historic home that has been updated with all the best for comfort. Both Judy and Bernie gave us directions, visitors advice, and made us feel very welcome. This was a lovely stay, and I believe it was the best B&B we've ever visited. I felt their welcome made my birthday celebration extra special - it is a memory I will cherish. read more
