Great mani & pedi and friendly staff! Will definitely be coming back in the future :)

I just moved from San Francisco, and have been to 5 nail salons (Brilliant Nails, Aroma, Harbor Nails, One Nail & Spa and Angel Tips yesterday) in the last 2 months just to try all in my neighborhood and see which will be my "new go to" place. Angel tips by far was the cleanest salon and everyone was super nice. Not sure why the reviews from the past were negative, maybe they went through a new remodel? But the salon was beautiful compared to the others in the neighborhood. I had Anne, she did both my regular pedi and gel Mani. When the Essie color was not exactly what I wanted, she helped to blend 2 colors to get me the right shade of coral I had in mind. I do think it's strange that ALL of the man's I've gotten in Long Island so far doesn't include soaking your hand before starting a mani (maybe that's just a California thing?). So the dry Manis threw me off at first but now I know it's just what everyone here does? All in all great experience at Angel Tips. Easy parking, not the same crowds as main at last, which is great when you want a peaceful experience. I highly recommend Angel Tips. read more

My parents live in Huntington so I occasionally get a manicure while visiting. Angel tips is in a great shopping center surrounded by fabulous coffee and ice cream so I stopped in out of convenience. It is stunningly clean and updated, and the staff was very accommodating. My manicure looks amazing, got regular polish after gel removal. They also only charged $5 for gel removal which is usually $10. Definitely will come back here! read more

truly a disasterous experience at Angel Tips in Huntington (Wall Street location) today. Had an appointment at 1p for a powder mani and a simultaneous pedicure. Hannah was rude and after 65 minutes post arrival, the manicure is not even half completed and the pedicure had to be stopped because only one person was working on my daughter. there was one other customer in the entire store and workers were not assisting us despite repeated requests to get done what was promised. there are WAY better places nearby-One nail had no availability today sadly. I had a terrible experience here! Went in for a power gel manicure and May was doing my nails. She was rude and inappropriate with the way she interacts with other clients and spoke with guests. When another woman came in to ask for a pedicure, she advised them to go across the street to the other salon....there were employees sitting on their phone when this happened! I left with gel nail polish all over my fingers. When I asked her how to get it off she said " Just wash your hands". I washed my hands three times and this is what they looked like after I washed my hands! Will NEVER go back! Clean, incredible staff and out of this world massages! I came in early right before they opened and they very sweet welcomed me in and sat me right away. Susie did my nails and worked tirelessly to remove my gel tips, I felt so taken care of! Peter, noticef me stretching my neck and immediately offered me a massage. Best 10 minut deep massage I've ever had (and I frequently get massages)! Jennifer did my pedicure & was so friendly. The whole experience was relaxing and wonderful. 10/10! I have given this spot several tries but totally was my last time. every time I have been they rush through each service like there's a cash prize for finishing the fastest. manicures done in 10min; mani pedis done in 25 min or less, and the results always reflect this; sloppy work. rough nails poorly filed, cuticles badly cut and left bleeding, parts of service left out like hot wrap etc. polish applied sloppily, I don't understand the need to frantically rush whether the store is packed or completely empty. I find I have to do serious touch up every time as soon as I'm home. such a shame it's a very clean place and so convenient but particularly at the price point it's just ridiculous read more

Purchased Groupon deal for $35; mani-pedi-eyebrow. Location is great. Large parking lot. First impression is the salon needs some upgrades. Pedicure chairs have no cushion and don't massage. Eyebrow room is clean and decent. Drying station is outdated. I didn't get a chance to get my tech's name, she wasn't wearing a name tag. Nor was she in black attire like the rest of the staff so i was confused about that. Felt like the service was being rushed. Salon was not busy so there was no reason to not be attentive. Manicure/pedicure was a forgetful experience. Lukewarm water/no leg or foot massage. Salon location is out of my way. So this visit would not make me want to do the travel. read more

Want to start off by saying the staff is very nice and friendly, no one was rude BUT service is sub par. My mom and I went with groupons and my nails are very streaky. After pointing it out to the tech, she just went over them again with another coat and no top coat but still streaky, didn't even bother asking her to fix my toes because the finger nails really didn't get fixed. This was the fastest manicure I've ever gotten and it shows (in a bad way). My mom had the same issues and she didn't even ask for polish on her nails just a good cleaning which she didn't get. Unfortunate because they're just 5 mins away from my mom's new place and she was looking for a new spot to call her regular. Worst nail experience i've ever had. I asked for a light green powder manicure with tips, and the lady gave me plain clear powder nails, that looked awful, with no color and said i was done. I told her I asked for something else and she proceeded to get upset with me. I also was receiving judgmental stares from her the entire time, oh and she made two of my cuticles bleed. Luckily a coworker stepped in and i ended up getting french tips painted on. But still, not worth 70 dollars and i wouldn't have paid if they hadn't made me pay before they were even finished. Yuk. I live nearby and came in for a pedicure. The first thing I noticed was that every pedicure chair had rips and tears on them. They did not use towels for my feet to rest in, they used one sheet of a paper towel that kept ripping. The water was Luke warm. This was a no frills pedicure - nothing extra. I also overheard someone say that they were charging $3 for quick dry and extra for certain polishes besides Essy. The drying chair is a bench (plastic - no cushions or back). And it was $22!!! I'm not sure about all these one-star reviews. I also purchased the $35 mani-pedi-eyebrow Groupon, and I had a perfectly pleasant experience. It wasn't the most luxurious spa day of my life, but the salon was clean, the nail tech was sweet and efficient, and my nails look good. I'm not sure if the place has taken the previous reviews into account and improved or if the clientele here is overly critical (I get the sense that may be the case), but everything was fine. I got a gel manicure and it was done neatly and is holding up nicely. The pedicure water was hot. The pedicure itself was a bit cursory (that part is mostly true), but it was still well worth the price. While I had an appointment, the staff went out of their way to accommodate walk-in clients as well. They even called another employee to come in to work when the wait got long. This is a terrible nail salon. As soon as I walked in, I asked them if they can do at the same time a gel mani and pedi and they said yes. They took me in and started my pedi and no one was coming for my mani, but they were accepting other customers. I told them I would not have come here if they were honest and could not do at the same time, I have limited time and have to go back to work. They said I didn't specify that it was gel so they could not do gel at the same time. So then I told them do a regular mani and they still couldn't. They lie just to get you in the door. Plus the place is very dirty. I walked out and did not let them do my nails. My friend was with me and they did a terrible job on her nails. Please be careful of this place. read more

I decided to try to a new place to get my nails done... Got a shellac mani..... luckily I picked a dark color so the mistakes barely show to someone glancing at them quickly. Just because a gel mani is perfectly smooth on the surface doesn't mean they did a good job. The mistakes underneathe the top clear coat are visible. Some nails are smudged and have ripples in them, some nails were obviously not properly cleaned off before polishing because they have bumps, there are some dull edges on my nails where the clear coat wasn't applied to I was just very disappointed. I've had a couple of manicures done here and they were all done very well and I love the back massages after when I'm drying my nails. Most nail salons give a quick 30 second rub but I've always had a good 5-10mins. The one thing I didn't like was how they did my eyebrows. After I left I noticed one side still had scattered hairs on the top that were pretty noticeable. I also told the woman before she started that they needed to be evened out towards the bottom middle but she hardly touched that part. I've definitely had better eyebrow treatments before, they're not very good with the detail. read more

I just can't believe this place is still in business! The owner is very kind and helpful but not always there. They do an awful job at pedicures: They don't even bother to put a towel under your feet but a thin piece of paper that crumbles once your wet feet touch it. Lukewarm water, barely trim the cuticles, no massage and they rush as if they just want to get rid of you and move on to the next customer. What really blew my mind is that after that terrible pedicure, this girl (who was fairly young) had the guts to tell me that o didn't tip her enough!!!! Are you kidding me??? I went for a pedicure. Was told it was 35.00 and I could get my callous removed. The tech never mentioned the cost. The pedicure was rushed and the callous treatment was fast and not done properly. When I went to pay they charged me 12.00 extra for a callous tx. I said thats crazy you did not even remove them. I paid but I will never go back there again. There are so many nail salons in huntington that are better and the callous removal in built into the price and not 59.00. The only good thing was I had a 10 min. massage from Jay who was wonderful. They definitely do a very good job, but it's a bit expensive for a pedicure. You also have to be very clear at the beginning about what you want to get and what you want to pay. The first time I came I didn't look at the price list and just got in the chair and asked for a pedicure. The person was like "spa pedicure?," and thinking that's what they called the regular pedicure I said yes. $35 later, I'm a bit wiser. But, this was really my mistake and they did a quality job so I can't complain too much. They also get points for having lots of chairs, which makes for very little wait time. read more

I called on a Tuesday and made an appointment for 3 people to get manis/pedis at 6 PM on a Thursday. Place is very nice inside, tons of chairs lots of polish choices. We were rushed to pick a color, pick a color! All three of us sat down for pedis. Quickest. Pedicure. Ever. I understand that you wanna go home and turnaround is important but come on. It's not like I waltzed in with three people 1/2 hour before closing. She didn't even massage my feet or legs! Isn't that one of the more important parts of a pedicure? This was my first time at the salon. I came in with a groupon. $20 for mani/pedi/eyebrow wax. Tammy was my specialist. When I was about to pay I gave her my groupon along with a $20 bill, plus tip. I was not thinking. Going on a trip the next day, my mind is racing, I have a list of items that need to get done. Tammy walked away with the money and the groupon. She asked two other employees, then she came back handed me my $20 bill and told me that I had already paid with the Groupon! She could have easily put the $20 bull plus tip in her pocket and I probably never would have realized. I was so touched by her honesty. I thanked her..and added more money to her tip., Absolutely made my day. I went to pick up flowers afterwards, and I told the florist what happened. I first came here with a groupon. I was very impressed. The second time I came I was less impressed. It was fine. The person doing the manicure:pedicure rushed through it and did an okay job.
