The woman who did my pedicure was quick, gentle, and friendly and they seated me in a massage chair for the pedi! A chair! That massages you! While someone rubs and prettifies your feet! I'm not sure it gets better than that. The price was right (they have a mani & pedi special that's an even better deal, but I'm a terrible nail biter, so it would be wasted on me). Everyone was friendly and service was quick. The space itself could be cleaner - it feels a tad run down.

I pick at my cuticles and fingers because of an anxiety disorder and I sort of just decided to try to take care of my nails in an attempt to stop. I let Karen know this and she was so, so nice about it. She made sure I was comfortable when trimming my cuticles and checked in with me a few times to make sure that she wasn't hurting my hands. They provided me with the colours that they had available and they quickly got to work. The removal was painless and easy.. I have had a bad experience where they filed my nails way tooo much and my nails looked a mess. That wasn't the case here thankfully! She did a great job fixing the shape of nails and reapplying the nail polish. Overall a positive experience. They gave you a tiny hand massage at the end.. a couple places I have been to are a little better in that department but whatever I wasn't coming in for a massage anyway. So now my figures look fab and the total came to 35 plus tax. 5 was for the removal of my previous shellac and then 30 for the shellac manicure. The pricing is pretty on par with other salons in the area. Ps.. it's been 2 weeks and my Shellac is in pretty mint condition.. typically it lasts a week and then I'm regretting having invested $ in my nails... but I have been impressed! Def. Coming back :)

I was not expecting much since my previous shellac was all peeled off and I just wanted to find a place to do a quick mani. I walked in an was immediately greeted by friendly staff. Honestly, I walked by this place so many times and I always thought eh, not sure if I want to go inside. For only $30 (tax included), i got a full shellac manicure (and removal of previous colour) in less than an hour. I thought this was a pretty good price for a downtown location. The staff were really accommodating, even though their English wasn't good they tried really hard to help me find the colours i wanted. The shellac was not clumpy and there is absolutely no flooding near my nail beds. For the price, i think it was a pretty well done job. But if youre looking for a high end shellac or gel mani/nail art i suggest you look elsewhere.

I sit down and show my technician (her name tag at her station said helen) the picture she said she could do it. It's a lot of different colours. Her colleague and I spent like 10 min choosing them all to match the pic. Once we get started the girl next to her (she spoke English really well didn't get her name, she was very rude) went that'll be $5 extra cus it's REALLY time consuming. So I went ok. What if we just make the mismatched colours the same on both hand? Extra charge then? She said no. Cool! The whole service took an hour and a half. (Very very. Long for a shellac polish change and removal). She didn't even get off all the bio gel!! So my nails are shaped all weird. When she was done I took a look at her shaping and most of the nails were super uneven. I pointed it out and she tried again but it didn't help much. They look really amateur like I did them myself. So disappointing. (The matte top coat also burned like hell under the lamp. Is that normal??) So to top it all off, I go to pay and another girl is at the register and she says $37. $37? What we agreed to 30? She's like the extra colours were an extra charge. I had to remind them that we had agreed that it wouldn't be an extra charge?? I've been before and had seen another guy. When her other co worker came in, she sat right next to us and they started having a whole conversation in mandarin with each other. Her attention to detail is not the best, and when I was told to wash my hands, I noticed one finger had a chip already, and asked her very politely if she can fix that one corner; in mandarin she said I was meddlesome, which is pretty much the same saying in Cantonese, as she proceeded to fix my nail. Maybe if she had paid more attention to her own work and stopped talking and getting distracted with her co worker, then she wouldn't have done such a sloppy job. Now I understand why the other 3-4 nails salons on the same floor were busy, except for this one. Won't be back.
