After being settled for 27 years in our bungalow, my husband and I decided to move in with our son and daughter-in-law which entailed the moving of 2 bungalows in 1 day to our new residence....not to mention on October 31st.... Halloween..."as if moving after 27 years wasn't scary enough"! As the mention of being settled for 27 years would indicate, we are not "spring chickens"... so we decided to hire movers. We hired "Angel" Mover's. As promised... 3 men and a truck showed up at my door at 10:00 a.m. on this rainy/windy Halloween morning. They all introduced themselves with a hand shake and a smile and started right in to cover the old worn oak floors of our domain soon to be no more. They carefully covered all furnishings with moving blankets....even pieces we considered disposing of as if all our pieces were precious gems. They loaded up our 3 bedroom bungalow, loading up my sons 3 bedroom bungalow, unloaded our 3 bedroom bungalow, unloaded my sons 3 bedroom bungalow as well as the 16' cube van my son filled with boxes the evening before. They never complained, never stopped once for a breather and by 9:15 p.m. they had us settled in our new home. I used Angel Movers for the first time for a move from one condo to another. Moving can be a stressful event but Angel Movers ensured that I had peace of mind from the time the move was booked right until the move was completed. Anna was the front-line contact person that I dealt with to get the move booked. Her customer service attitude was most impressive and she was one of the main reasons I decided to go with Angel Movers. But she also took the time to make recommendations to me about packing materials and how my items should be packed. Angel Movers did an excellent job. I hired them four times this year because they were such a pleasure to work with. Anna who booked the move, was very friendly and nice. I hired them in February to move all the furniture from the second floor to the first floor and the basement as I was replacing my carpet with hardwood floors and other renovations. They were very careful, professional and extremely knowledgeable as they knew how to position the furniture so it all fit downstairs. I was so impressed with their work I did not hesitate to call them in March to move everything back upstairs. Although I was a little nervous that the walls and floors would get scratched when moving back, it turned out that this was not an issue. They used runners to protect the floors and were very careful with everything. In August, when I renovated the main floor, I called Angel Movers again to do my internal move. I moved from Toronto to Kitchener and found these guys on the net with good reviews, booked with them and prayed. It was $100 deposit up front and ended up another $650 in cash including HST, already a fair price for such a long distance. But wait! You have to factor in what an idiot my new landlord is. It's February 2014, the winter from hell, but mister rent collector doesn't bother to shovel the walk to my new place which I haven't seen for a month. We get there and the stairs to my door are COVERED IN ICE. Not like a bit slippery, there were sculptures under all the snow! Mountains! Here we are with a moving truck in the arctic tundra and no way to get stuff inside, or so I thought. But Mark and Steve from Angel just went ahead and climbed Mount Lucy's Front Steps over and over again with all my stuff, somehow without slipping, smiling the whole time, and they didn't charge me extra for the trouble. And they set up my bed too which is nice because it's heavy. They definitely deserve all the positive reviews over on Homestars, I reviewed them there too but that site wouldn't let me call my landlord an idiot. read more

Angel Movers live up to their name! I had to use them twice over the summer due to the challenges the housing market taking a spin. I had to have our stuff put into storage which they found with VERY short notice for a fantastic price. Because of the unknown, and close to booking the moves last minute, they came through every time as it was unknown when our house would CLOSE. The same crew we had for both moves (into storage and out of storage to the new house), were professional, friendly, careful of delicate items by wrapping them up and moving it safely, and comforting throughout this adventure. And price, very realistic and VERY affordable. ANNA is a superstar! This woman really is an angel and put me at ease when coaching me through the stressful times I was going through over the 12 days of many extensions. I can't say enough good things about these movers! This was my first time hiring professional movers instead of relying on friends and family, and after doing a ton of research, I know I made the right choice going with Angel Movers. At first I thought all these amazing reviews were too good to be true but be assured, they really are this fantastic! Like others have mentioned, Anna in the office is a real gem, and she made booking and all the logistics a breeze. She was so accommodating when my new roommate and I decided to combine our moves (So two places moved into one) which saved us both money and so much hassle! She easily could have gouged us on that and insisted my roomy pay for a separate move even though she didn't have much stuff at all. Absolutely fantastic from start to finish. I hired Angel Movers in 2016. Customer service from Anna (office manager) and day-of moving staff (Matt and Tim) was phenomenal. Matt and Tim were kind, courteous with excellent work ethic and a great sense of humour. They rolled out the red carpet and got to work right away. They worked quickly and efficiently moving items from a house to an apartment. They used padded carpeting and blankets within both homes to protect flooring. The rate charged per hour (in 2016) was $99.00 (two professional movers and a truck). They factored in distance and loading/unloading. The price charged to move from Markham to Toronto was fair. I greatly appreciated Matt and Tim's work ethic and their collective friendly demeanor. Many thanks to Anna for helping me with my move every step of the way. This was the best move of my life (granted I've only moved with friends and a van, but still, my expectations were high). There were zero concerns. From the moment I booked (Anna was just lovely on the phone) to when the movers arrived on the prescribed day (on time and with smiles), to the moment they left (with 40 minutes to spare!), everything went smoothly. The three movers (Johan, Rob and Steve, I believe) were professional, courteous, funny, considerate and conscientious throughout. We had just installed new hardwood floors (the last coat of stain had gone on 24 hours before) and they were very careful and aware of how they placed the furniture down. They helped us take apart and then put back together our larger pieces. They moved one of our couches twice because we changed our minds about the location (no grumbling or eye rolling!). This move was the first time that I used Angel Movers. I was moving from Ajax to Etobicoke arranged my move with another company for over a month. A week before the move I discovered that I wouldn't have the keys to my new place until late afternoon. The company I booked with said they couldn't book a move that started after 12:00 noon. My friend suggested that I call Angel movers so I called them in a panic. Anna was great! She took my information on the phone and called back in a short time to assure that they would move me. I was moving from a house to a small condo and had to dispose of a lot of my belongings so what I had left were mostly antique furniture and meant a lot to me. I hired Angel Movers for my first real move. I was stressed about how it would go, but I was put at ease from the moment I first called to book my move. Anna was so helpful, straightforward, organized and comforting. She coordinated everything for me and the movers delivered as Anna said they would. These guys are amazing. My move was so complicated and so much could have went wrong but Anna (customer service) was so quick and ready to help and it worked out ! She kept telling me not to worry and she was right, everything went so smoothly. Other movers would've definitely just told em to figure everything out myself or to just to contact some other company. The movers themselves (forgot their names) were SUPER sweet and professional. I have A LOT of stuff (over 70 boxes + a bunch of furniture) and i never heard them huff or puff ONCE. One word - FANTASTIC!!!! I have used Angel Movers for 5 moves now. They have been very accommodating with my many requests. I had multi stops, pickups and drop-offs. Professional & courteous - from the minute we called in to get a quote till the last minute our move was completed. Our move was hectic as it is, moving cities with a toddler and then needing storage needed for few days till moving in to the new place, but these guys made it all very smooth for us. I have moved many times in Vancouver, Montreal, and Toronto with various companies. Johan and his team at Angel Movers are, by far, the cream of the crop. They are incredibly professional, kind, and go out of their way to make a stressful experience easy. Johan and team moved a lot of heavy furniture, including a baby grand piano, from a condominium in downtown Toronto to a house in Oshawa. They took care with wrapping each individual item, worked diligently, helped repair damaged items from our previous move, and also gave me tips on preserving picture frames that had been taped up. Movers who know what they are doing. They made the move easy fun and NO damage to any of our furniture loading and unloading. They had lots of blankets and wrapped all the furniture individually. They are professionals that know their stuff. Moving from apartment to apartment is not easy especially when it involves elevators. They reviewed what needed to be moved and worked as a team to make things go smooth and efficient. They went above and beyond making an additional stop to Costco to pick up some shelves that I had purchased. Truly a great experience. This last time they made pretty long stretch to send furniture and appliances from Toronto to Windsor, Ontario. They come with all sorts of tools and the expertise to package, store, and maneuver large items.
