Inside, the store was well-stocked, but the staff seemed a bit overwhelmed. Water was leaking onto a large section of the floor, and no one was addressing it. I pointed it out to them, so someone went to get a bucket. However, it seemed like cleaning up the water was a big problem because it would delay their other tasks. I truly felt bad for the staff because it looked like there weren't many of them there that day, and they were dealing with a water leak from a machine or refrigeration. Besides the leak, the store was your typical Sheetz. I'm not sure I'll make this my regular stop, though.

This location is wonderfully convenient to my house--which may be the impulse buy problem. B. Diesel fuel; consistently at the best price on whatever area. I drive a VW turbo Diesel as such I don't fill up often, but when I do it's always here. C. MTO at sheetZ is a guilty pleasure, but working some of the shifts that I do it's about my only option for a hot meal unless I'd rather cook or godawful McD's *blah. D. The additional car service options; this location has a great hands free pull through car wash. Also the vacuum and air station has always been "In Service" when I've needed them. Not the case in many places. The people who work there are always nice be it 3am when they say I can't buy beer after a double shift (a bummer but I understand their rules) or mid afternoon stopping in for an Iceee to try and ward off the scorching summer heat. One oddity is the seeming constant presence of coppers(a benevolent term coined by Gallic speaking Irish immigrants) quite literally the "watering hole" some days with half a dozen cruisers and as many if not more officers. Thanks for the service. To which to be fair I deal with the Greensboro police and guilford sheriffs more than I ever imagined; all law abiding and good interactions :) and it continues here.

I can't count on the tea to be filled and available whenever I go in, and I don't really get much food there anymore, so without being able to get a drink in the morning every time, it kind of makes me stopping pointless. Usually, it is there, but I would say once every couple of weeks I will walk in and the urns are empty, waiting to be serviced (like they have been noticed, but tea is not being brewed). It's frustrating when the brewed tea isn't available, because bottled drinks are so packed with sugar. I like to put just a small amount of sweet tea in a mostly unsweet cup. I do like that they have the powdered lemon available. Generally... they could probably do better here. It is a pretty busy location, so I feel like investing in more staff if needed would be worth it.

WARNING FOR WOMEN/PARENTS IN GREENSBORO…read more Please be careful around the Sheetz on Wendover 4319 W Wendover Ave, Greensboro, NC 27407 Avenue and the TJ Maxx parking lot area. 4217 W Wendover Ave, Greensboro, NC 27407 Today I experienced what I believe was a coordinated distraction scam involving multiple men and a women At Sheetz One woman approached me asking to use my phone to call for emergency/tow services while another distracted me during the interaction. While my attention was divided, unauthorized money was sent from my phone through my banking app/Zelle. The scam also involved a "Three Card Monte" style game where they encourage you to pick a card and claim they will double your money if you guess correctly. I did not participate in the game or allow them to give money to my child. After everything happened, I was informed this reportedly occurred multiple times today at Sheetz.Approaching women with children to play. Giving the children dollars What was especially alarming is that after the incident at Sheetz, the same group appeared to move to the TJ Maxx parking lot area and continued targeting other women. While there, another woman came up screaming and stated they had stolen $1,800 from her the week before. One individual was a Black male with dreads wearing multiple chains/jewelry. Another was a light-skinned male wearing a yellow worker-style safety vest. There was also a Caucasian male wearing blue shorts. Female Mexican skinny dark hair . They were seen leaving in a black sedan and a white van with the license plate WAH-- 1753 or 1810 The phone numbers used during the interaction were 336-925-3422 and 336-471-2370. They also appeared to spread themselves throughout the gas station near pumps 4-9 and pump 6. For confidential reasons, I cannot disclose all specifics involving my minor child, but I will say children were present during this interaction, which made the situation even more concerning. I truly tried to do the right thing by helping someone I believed was in need of emergency assistance, and this situation left a very sour taste in my mouth. Please do NOT hand strangers your unlocked phone, even if the story sounds urgent or believable. This was my fault . I also reported this to law enforcement, and I was informed this type of tactic is commonly associated with gambling/distraction scams. Also, to the woman who was screaming, recording, and saying she had also been scammed -- if you happen to be in this group, thank you so much for helping by recording and for calling the police. Shoutout to the Sheetz managers and TJ Maxx staff as well. Unfortunately Sheetz did not have security on duty during the daytime . Please stay alert, ladies, and keep your children close. I have already reported this to the appropriate agencies. Sharing this so other women and families stay safe.
