I can't say enough about the help we received every step along the way. But the real shocker was the skill with which the pool house was carried from driveway to pool. Andy and Joe operated a machine called a mule to direct the move. This avoided the use of a heavy truck on the lawn. Though it added a little more to the cost, the savings to electrical and septic lines was more than a fair compromise. We are thrilled. The fan and additional lighting is being installed today. Two things to consider before you order. 1. How tall you…read moreare. The shed I ordered has a door frame height of 6'. I am 5-10" and my hair brushes against the frame as I walk under it. Six foot people and taller will be hitting their head on the door frame. The sales person never mentioned this as a possible issue. 2. The door handle on my shed is only 30" off the ramp attached to the shed. A typical door handle height is 36" off the floor. I have to bend quite a bit to lock and unlock the door. Again, not mentioned by the sales person as a possible issue. Otherwise, the shed seems to be in good working order. The installation team did a good job and cleaned up well.

However I would have appreciated somebody offering us a bit of guidance, we roamed the lot for almost two hours. A very nice man driving a huge forklift pointed out some cottages and sheds we had not yet noticed, that was helpful. When my partner and I had written down all we could from the hang tags on the various floor models and special orders displayed around the lot we settled on a small shed for our first purchase. This was to be our new Boat House.  We also decided on a two car garage with attached work room, barn style, and a large tiny house to be placed on a near by lake for our follow up purchases.  We wanted to experience the Jamaica Cottage quality and customer service before getting in too deep. These folks were exceptional every step of the way.  The sales team were good.  The follow up emails were good.  The final shed/boat house was amazing. Perhaps the best part was the man who delivered our first building.  As suggested we had a bunch of sand delivered and we spread it to be the base for the building.  When the shed got to our home the delivery guy spent an hour smoothing and raking the sand, laying down concrete blocks, then another half hour leveling the building with shims.  He was polite, efficient, and professional.  I am so embarrassed that I didn't get his name.  We will be continuing a loyal relationship with Jamaica Cottages for our next three major projects without hesitation.

Ordered an 8x20 weekender. Fully built, rather than a kit for us to assemble. We are about an…read morehour and a quarter drive from South Londonderry VT on paved roads, easy to deliver to. The shed was delivered and it looked great, but there was a minor issue with the exterior trim. We had a miscommunication regarding how far around the board and batten would go, given ventilation for firewood. We requested that a few extra trim boards be added to make it the more symmetric look we had envisioned and thought to be the design. Jamaica Cottage team proved to be very responsive. They brought the extra trim boards within a couple of days and put them up on site. We love the product. Thank you!
