My sales associate instead offered to ship the shoes directly from the store, which I agreed to. When the shoes arrived, they were clearly in unacceptable condition and appeared to be a floor model. I was offered a refund since this exact style was no longer available, but I declined, as these were the shoes I had chosen specifically for my wedding. Ultimately, the manager went above and beyond by sourcing a brand new pair from Europe and sending them to my home. While I appreciate the manager's effort and care in resolving the situation, I am deeply disappointed that anyone thought it was acceptable to sell and ship a floor model in the first place. Throughout the process, there was significant denial and a lack of accountability from the store, and other associates appeared more focused on protecting a colleague than addressing the mistake. My actual new shoes were sent with a plastic on the sole while these ones weren't, and yet the receipt on my new shoes still credited the sales associate who initially gave me the worn pair. There needs to be accountability for actions, and poor behavior shouldn't be rewarded. Although the manager helped restore some confidence, the stress, time, and emotional energy this situation caused during wedding planning was unfair and reflects poorly on the integrity and professionalism of this brand.
