After speaking with their very helpful secretary Meagan who made sure to answer all my questions and address all of my concerns, I decided to book them for the move. Jack and his crew showed up on time and ready to go, and even with my apartment complex's parking lot renovations making things a bit harder for them, they were able to make my move as stress-free as possible! They disassembled all of my furniture, wrapped it carefully, and loaded the truck all very quickly and efficiently. Their professionalism and preparedness really helped make this a great experience. It was a huge relief knowing that my things are in such good hands. Even during the drive from Austin to The Woodlands, Jack made sure to call every hour or so to let us know how far away they were. Upon arriving at our storage unit, the guys unloaded the truck and arranged my furniture carefully inside the unit. My dad and I were so impressed with their work that we are already planning on hiring J&M for another moving job soon, and any other moving jobs we will have in the future. Upon delivery, we discovered much damage to our chona cabinet base that they fixed with epoxy and paper. When I busted the warehouse, I was distressed to see it stored on end and there was much damage on that end. The shades were thrown in garment bags and returned wrinkled. My husbands ties were thrown in a box and returned unwearable. They broke two men's valets, the spines of hundreds of books and over 50 picture frames. They tried to leave without properly assembling our bed because they lost some hardware. They paid us nothing because we had a $1500 deductible and the damaged books were irreplaceable. We made no claim for the book bindings because it would destroy any remaining value. Use at your own risk.

They even helped combine smaller boxes into larger ones and made sure nothing was left behind. The team disassembled all our furniture for transport and reassembled everything upon arrival, placing each item and box in the exact rooms we requested -- even positioning furniture and wall art just the way we wanted. When we arrived at my storage facility, we were met with something completely unexpected, my belongings had been severely damaged due to an infestation at the storage facility. I was unaware of the situation and was completely shocked to discover that rats had destroyed many of my personal belongings. The movers explained that because of the extent of the damage and infestation, they could not safely pack everything. Despite the circumstances, the team showed incredible compassion and understanding. Knowing I was already overwhelmed especially being pregnant and dealing with such a stressful situation they still did everything they could to help salvage and move what was possible. Unfortunately, some items had to be left behind because the damage was simply too severe. Damaged drawer sliders, missing bolts from our gym equipment (think of the safety issues if it came crashing down!), damaged shelves, etc. They keep refusing to respond, and they keep skirting responsibility.
