I recently had a very frustrating experience working with Andro Chavez as the agent for the seller of a property I was purchasing. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend working with this agent as my agent's attempts to communicate with him were met with complete radio silence.
From the very beginning of our interaction, it was clear that Andro Chavez was unresponsive and disorganized. He rarely answered my agent's calls or emails and seemed disinterested in advocating for the sellers. When my agent did finally get a hold of him, he was often dismissive and unhelpful.
Despite numerous attempts to contact him over the course of several weeks, Andro never responded to inquiries or provided us with the information we needed to move forward with closing on the property. This lack of communication was extremely frustrating, and I felt as though I was being ignored and left in the dark.
On top of this, we were told that the seller requested to rent back the home after closing when our offer was accepted. We had no idea this was part of the deal, and were blindsided with this less than two weeks before closing. We were not aware of this until the seller notified our agent because Andro was not properly advocating for her.
Andro also called my loan officer and made him aware of the connections he had to my loan officer's boss, which we assume to be some kind of intimidation tactic.
Our request to repair was not responded to until 14 days after escrow began. The sellers notified us that they did not receive a copy until 12 days after we had sent it in.
Lastly, the notary who handled our closing paperwork made us extremely uncomfortable by pressuring us to accept the seller's rent back as we signed closing documents. We later learned that Andro used to be her assistant. This interaction felt really inappropriate, as we had requested for the rent back to be placed in writing multiple times to Andro, which he also failed to do until the absolute last minute.
We did end up finally purchasing and moving into the property, but with a lot of stress and uncertainty. By the way, he left his "sold" sign on the property after we had already moved in. My husband had to remove it himself and place it in the side yard.
Overall, my experience with Andro was incredibly disappointing, and I would not recommend him to anyone looking to buy or sell a property. If you're an adrenaline junkie and love sitting in uncertainty with a huge purchase on the line, go with Andro. He'll definitely get your blood pressure up. However, if you're in the market for a responsive and communicative agent who values their clients, I suggest you look elsewhere. read more
